It is vital that you keep your vehicle fully repaired. It makes a huge difference to your trap speed having both your engine and tyres repaired 100% instead of for example 90%.

Keeping the engine 100% is important but mathematically it’s your reaction time and E.T. that wins races not trap speed. Also tuning to run a faster E.T. will help advance in a racing career more than in multiplayer. In multiplayer, you tune for consistency.. Good luck.

Also you must watch your reaction time. Most cars and normal response time will let you leave (release button) as soon as the third amber comes on. If you wait till you see green, you will lose
