Question for Modern War

I was recently advised to leave my faction due to what was referred to as the "ghost allies" problem. I have 1,540+ allies and this particular faction
Mandates that all members have 500 allies, no more, no less. The thought is that is everybody has same number of allies, it harder for enemy "hunters" to find the weaker attack/defense faction members. I tried to comply, but I run into a problem whereby I have 452 allies showing, and the other 1,000+ allies cannot be shown therefore cannot be deleted, the term "ghost allies." Hunters would have an easy time finding me and see that my stats may be lower than theirs and attack repeatedly with almost no end in sight! I opened a ticket with GREE, but it will take a while for them to address my issue, not I time before the China campaign started, hence I left the faction to comply with the faction's rules. I will be allowed to join back up after the war ends. I lost my bonuses and such for dropping out. Does anybody else know the best course of action to address this problem?
