Too many pirates
Guest answered:

You have to try to destroy all of the pirate bases, and then destroy all left over pirates flying around.

Guest answered:

Here is the best way:
Get the blueprint for the Yin Co Shadow Ninja.
Build it.
Then get a large supply of AMR Opressors.
Get a large stock of Energy Cells.
Then go to shima.
Activate Shadow ninja.
Hit the outposts with the missiles.
When you have finished he will ask you for 50 tons of buskat and 30 million dollars.

Get about 20 AMR extinctors, and a ship with a turret and equip with the yin co shadow ninja then start blowing things up

Guest answered:

Pirate bases can be found by looking for a red cloud in the area. The bases are also red and quite difficult to see but they're quite easy to destroy.

Guest answered:

Try destroying all the pirate bases in the terran, nevillian, and midoran systems. When I did that shims appeared on the map.

Best way to take out pirate bases (and lots of pirates) with minimal resources.

Forget loading up tonnes of nukes. The fastes way to take them out is to do the following.

Load up on mines (the Fisk one is best) and the best sentry guns.

You need the Rhonda vortex (time extender) and the shadow ninja and lots of energy cells.

Get to the pirate base as quickly as possible. Use shadow to get in real close to it avoiding engaging any pirate sir possible. Circle the base and drop 3 of the sentry guns around it. These wil start firing at the base. Then take off and leave them to do their job. Engage the Pirates dropping mines at them and taking them out with guns and auto turrets etc. In a short while the pirate station will blow up. Now you can only deploy a maximum of 3 sentry guns in one system so for Shima (Kano club) where there are multiple stations position the sentry guns in between the stations in rename of more than one. If you need to you can blow up a sentry gun once it's job is done.

Mines are the most effective way to deal with load of pirates. Use shadow ninja to fly into a mob and drop mines, with 700 damage per mine you can sometimes take out 3 or more ships in one hit. I also make use of the overcharge as well to give more oomph to your guns.

I take out all the Pirates every time I go to Loma an
D with the octopus tractor beam I get loads of stuff which offsets the costs of mines plus much more. In extreme. Game mode this is also the best way to get cores.

Enjoy.

Mines???
You'd need the Valkyrie/Supernova DLC Pack for that.
I'd say get a cloaking device and some non-Kaamo and non-DLC powerful weapons.
