What is the deal with people losing their games? How do you prevent that?

There are lots of posts to the chat boards about game crashes and, when the players uninstall then reinstall all their progress AND the stuff they paid for is just gone? How do you prevent that?

You need to connect your game with either your Facebook or Google Plus accounts to actually save your game.

The reason that all those players lost all their Progress and stuff was due to having NOT connected their game to either Facebook or Google Plus, which meant that their game was only saved locally, on their device.

When they had to delete and re-install they basically deleted the only save for their town, hence the whole lost it all motif. Don't be a victim of limited saves! Go out and link your game today!

The "deal" is simple - what is happening is that the people losing their games are players who played without linking their game to either a Facebook Account or a Google Plus Login. Those are the two methods for saving the game.

Failing to link your game to one or the other means you are playing with ONLY a local save. If something happens to the local have and you have to reinstall - you lose EVERYTHING. So play smart and link your game to Facebook or Google Plus so you have a backup to fall back on if and when needed! Smile
