How can I get gems? I need gem to buy more things can not get fruit trees or animals? Can I do something to get gems? And how to do it? Please meed an answer....

You can receive gems from random quests or you can buy them by pressing the 'Add' button next to the purple gem at the top of your screen
Keep completing the adventures (I mostly continue with Search the Ancient Vault). Every 1 or 2 adventures it will reward with one or two gems. It is a slow build.
