Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent is a Japanese-Style RPG that is a prequel to Octopath Traveler, which is available for Nintendo Switch and PC. The story is set a few years prior to the events that took place in the original title, on the same continent of Orsterra. The Chosen One (a random traveler), bearer of one of the 8 Divine Rings, is given the task of seizing the remaining rings, which are in the hands of people who use the Rings' power for their selfish ends.

Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent Cheats, Tips Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include how to get a strong start and why you do not need to rush.

Take your Time

Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent is a single-player RPG that unlike other mobile games in the genre rarely has any time-limited events. This basically means that any content the developers add to the game is permanent. This also means you do not need to rush and can play the game at a pace you feel comfortable with.

Reroll to get a Strong Start

You will start Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent with one of eight five-star characters. When you then complete the tutorial you will be able to use the Rubies you gained from it to summon new characters. If you are not happy with the characters you pull you may want to consider rerolling to give you a strong start early in the game.

Characters you want to pull when rerolling are 5-star ones such as Lynette, Viola, and Fiore. Keep in mind that rerolling can be a tedious process as you will need to repeatedly replay the tutorial which means it could take a while before you get the character you desire.

Build a Balanced Team

In Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent there are 8 different classes and each of them has their own weapons and unique skills. In order to be successful in combat you need to be able to exploit the enemy's weak point which is best done by having as many different weapons and element types at your disposal as possible. It is therefore recommended that you have one of each class in your party as doing so will give you access to all the weapon types in the game which will enable you to hit the weak points of any enemy you encounter.

Defeat Caits for XP and Leaves

Caits in Octopath Traveler: Champions Of The Continent are rare enemies that appear around the world and will grant plenty of XP and Leaves if you manage to defeat them. The stationery Caits you encounter can be battled once a day and can always be found at that location and won't move from it while the random ones you encounter are able to escape making them more difficult to defeat for their rewards.
