Substitutions
If you don't want to get bogged down with substitutions just turn off the injuries and fatigue options in 'Settings'.
Virtual Joystick
Remember if you decide you want to use the virtual joystick option you need to take into account that a player's momentum makes him harder to steer so you need to anicipate a bit of lag in your movements.
One Finger Controls
Whenever possible use the one-finger controls over the virtual joystick option as it gives you more contol with the play calling during gameplay.
