This is like the many cheats on here about placing blocks then exiting out or putting items in chests then exiting out, but this is much faster and more reliable. First, make a suicide tower. It has to be easily accessible and must be tall enough to make you die. Then, take off your armor and remove everything from your inventory EXCEPT the items you want to duplicate. Jump off your suicide tower, then collect the items you dropped after you respawn. Run away from your suicide tower for about 30 seconds, then close out of the game and close the app. When you enter minecraft again, run back to your suicide tower and your items will be in your inventory and on the ground.
