To score when a diamond appears in a corner of a block you will need to match two blocks who touch that corner.

When you match every jewel that is dropped during a round a diamond will appear on a random position of the board and you will be rewarded a decent amount of points. Getting diamonds is the easiest way to meet some levels score requirements.

You can see the next 3 jewels you will have access to but if you look carefully you can also see (although slightly faded) the next row of jewels coming up from the bottom. Take advantage of this knowledge to plan ahead.
