Don't use all your turns every time because the enemy will still move if your moves run out. You can always end your turn prematurely by hitting the pie-graph button to the right of your arrows.

Smashing barrels is risky as they could either contain coins or just explode and cause you considerable damage. The best time to break a barrel is at the end of the stage when you know you have enough health to survive if it does explode.

There are two ways you can continue the game if you lose at a dungeon, you can either watch an advertisement video or you can pay coins.

You do not have an infinite amount of ammo so you need to keep an eye out for treasure boxes to get the ammo refills found inside them.

Each shot you fire takes a turn so you need to make sure you do not have more ammo slots than move slots.

The best upgrade that you can purchase is extra life slots, followed by extra move slots.

You will not incur any penalties or suffer any harm if you are unable to pick the lock of a treasure box so there is no need to panic if the countdown timer runs out and resets itself.

An effective strategy is to be patient and move conservatively allowing the enemies to slowly come your way. Doing this will allow you to save up a big attack with all your turns for when the enemy is within striking distance.

If you are right next to an enemy you can throw a punch at them, if you are out of punching range you can switch to the gun and shoot a bullet at them. The bullet does the same damage as a punch but gives you some extra move spaces which you can take advantage of to employ hit-and-run tactics.

Be conservative with your hearts as they become harder to come by as you progress along in the game.

When you have completed 50 percent of the game you will be able to unlock the secret room.
