Don't forget to claim your daily rewards as this is a great way to score supplies without spending the currency you have earned in the game or real money.

Look for the 'Get Free' button on the in-app purchase screen as this will enable you to earn free Gold by completing different requests that include following Glu on Google+, watching trailers on Hulu or signing up for a variety of services.

Kill enemies a lot easier by using the Zoom feature, the button that eables it can be found on the lower left of the screen.

Make sure before you step out from behind cover to take a shot with the sniper rifle you adjust the crosshairs on an enemy's head. Doing this will give you a better chance of scoring a headshot.

Stick to the rifles unless it looks like you are going to be completely overwhealmed by a large amount of soldiers as they are much easier to get head shots with and so will help you finish the stage quicker.

When you complete levels you will earn Gold Stars, these can then be used to unlock new missions.

Try to use grenades and bazookas sparingly because you never know when an unexpected situation may arise where you will need them.

Unless you are a very slow shooter with the rifles or you do not have an ant-tank bazooka gun to destroy a vehicle you will find that the machines guns are almost completely useless.

Make a point of not spending all your money on weapons because to complete the toughest levels in the game you will also need med kits and artillery strikes.

Try to get your hands on a bazooka as soon as you can as having one in your arsenal will help you beat a stage quicker as it increases the accuracy of your shots and the damage that you can do to vehicles.

If you need more Gold Stars to unlock missions you can always return to an earlier easier mission to collect them.

To give yourself the best chance against a tank make sure you throw your grenades at it and/or use a bazooka if you have one in your arsenal the instant it appears.

Don't waste ammunition, wait for an enemy's health bar to appear on screen before you start shooting at them.
