These are indicated by a medal-shaped icon at the bottom of the screen when you complete a level. Missions are challenges like completing the level without using a Nommie power for example. If you already have the required three stars for the level they can be fun to attempt.

In addition to Om Nom's candy try to collect the four-leaf clovers that can be found in some levels because if you manage to collect enough you will be able to unlock the secret levels at the bottom of each level pack.

It is not necessary to grap ALL three stars to pass a level, all that is required is that Om Nom the candy gulping monster gets his candy. You can always return later to try for a top score.

Keep an eye out for the movie camera icon on the bottom-right hand side of the screen as some level packs contain movies that can be accessed through there.
