If you find yourself in a must win situation you will have no choice but to tap the purple target when it appears on screen. Successfully tapping the purple target will give your opponent little to no chance in the match-up. Remember though that the purple target is the smallest of the three targets and if you miss tapping it you lose the match-up automatically.

Always make sure you are aware of the game situation so you are able to make the correct decision. It is important for example knowing the order in which you will be playing offense and defense during the game.

You cannot see what cards your opponent has so a good tactic is to use a player with just enough points to give you an edge in a match-up and save your higher-rated players for when you encounter a better opponent.

Although the 'Auto' button allows the AI to select your best lineup you will find it is better to pick each match-up manually yourself by tapping on the player you want to be in that match-up and then tapping again to lock him in place.
