A good starting strategy to organise your base is to place your Town Hall and Silos in the center, then surround them with weapons and traps and surround that area with walls. What makes this strategy effective is that the walls should slow enemies down long enough to give the weapons you have placed behind them enough time to deal with them when they appear.
