A run will officially end when you have got every grain of rice out of the maze.

Although it can be tricky try not to waste any rice on it's journey through the maze into the bowl as the amount of food you save can dramatically effect your score.

Don't worry too much about the fruit. This is especially true when you reach the later levels and complete a maze, at this stage of the game it is more beneficial to return and collect everything.
