Take any opportunity where you can merge multiple stacks of cards at once as this creates more spaces on the board and gives you better flexibility when you bring in new cards and getting them to where you want.

As long as you have empty spaces on the board to work with you can recover from a bad move. When you are not certain what the best move is you need to stop and re-evaluate where cards are on the board and whether or not you need to change their position before thinking about new cards.

If possibe try and stay in the corners and keep tiles grouped there as it allows you to have more of the main game board to bring in new tiles. When you do bring in the new tiles to the middle of the board swipe them to the corners in order to combine.

Try to resist the temptation of chasing larger tiles across the board in order to combine them. This strategy will nearly always place you in a worse position, you will have more success if you focus your efforts on combining smaller tiles.

There are four main gestures and they are up, down, left, and right and each time you swipe every tile on the board will move in that direction as far as it possibly can. So to be successful in this game you need to understand how the board will move when you swipe a tile otherwise it may not end up where you thought it would. Also, when multiple cards can combine at once they will do so.
