You will earn stars as you complete levels and mission objectives in Story mode. When you have earned 10 stars you will recieve a free loot crate. In each level there are five stars to collect so it is possible to get a new loot crate every two levels you complete. Avoid risking your life trying to find all the stars in a level on your first run, it is more beneficial to save stamina and replay levels for them later.
