Infernax is an old school adventure platformer game with puzzle elements that revolves around the adventures of a great knight who returns to his homeland only to find it plagued with unholy magic. Take a look at our cheats and tips to get help in the game which is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Switch, and PC.
You play the role of the Great Knight and while on your quest to find and destroy the source of this corruption by any means necessary, you must face ruthless creatures, dangerous beasts, and precarious terrains. Uncover the mysteries of the curse and face the consequences of your actions.
Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include why you should be aware of the day and night cylce and why it is a good idea to keep manual notes. As well as these hints and tips, we also have a beginners guide here which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:
It is important to keep in mind that some quests in Infernax have alternate paths and that the choices you make will determine the outcome of your game and the ending you ultimately get.
It is therefore essential that you save the game at a Shrine before you make a big decision as the consequences later on could come back to haunt you.
There is a day and night cycle in Infernax that you need to be aware of as some quests can only be completed during either the day or night and due to a lack of a meter there is no way of telling when the transition will happen.
The duration of the night cycle is not as long as the day but during the haunting hours the enemies are more plentiful making your journey more dangerous. However, there is a spell that can be purchased in Arkos, the second town you visit that allows you to control the day and night circle.
Check out our Game Wizard Codes guide to find out how you can input codes into Infernax to make gameplay easier.
As you progress on your journey you will visit multiple towns, each of which will have shops that have a different inventory from the previous town. Fast travel does not become unlocked until later in the game so to eliminate the need to backtrack as much as possible it is advised that you don't leave a town until all the goods have been purchased.
You may have to grind for gold in order to do this but the rewards you can get make it worth it. Also remember to talk to every non-hostile character you meet as there is always the possibility they will offer you a quest which you can complete to earn gold and other goodies.
Although there is no obligation to explore in Infernax it is recommended that you do so as it often yields rewards such as skills, spells, XP, and gold. Taking detours can also sometimes allow you to miss bosses and if you ever get lost you will be able to see your current location when you open the map screen. Don't forget you can also look at your quest log if you are not sure what your current objectives are.
The map you are given in Infernax is very basic and not as detailed as you would like. As brick walls and other internal details are missing it is recommended that you take manual notes and screenshots, one within the world and one where that point in the map is. Doing this will help you considerably as it will save you plenty of guesswork later on if you get stuck.
