Your aim is to survive as long as you can while earning points and gold. Missions come in sets of three and as you finish each a new one will appear. These missions include challenges like high scores, distance accrued, survival times and feeding on certain prey. To unlock bigger sharks you must eat enough creatures and people, and score enough points, to increase your current tier’s upgrade bar to 100%. Alternatively, to get the new level of shark immediately you can spend the required amount of gems which can be expensive.
