Free Energy Locations

Running out of energy is a really annoying aspect of Hogwarts Mystery, but there are a places that you can go to find free energy and to get you playing again more quickly.

Below is a list of the nine free energy locations, please bear in mind that not all will be unlocked for you straight away, and you may have to advance in the game before certain areas are unlocked.

Free Energy Locations

East Towers

Tap the empty painting to the left of the Charms Classroom

East Towers

Tap Peeves the Poltergeist, you can find him between the Astronomy Tower and Divination Classroom

West Towers

Tap the flower painting which is to the left of the Prefects’ Bathroom

Lower Floor (West)

There is a torch to the right of the Great Hall which you can tap to ignite and get a free energy.

Lower Floor (West)

Tap the suit of armor with snake shield to the right of the Great Hall. This one has a particularly long cooldown time.

Dungeons

You'll see an Elf leaning against the wall in front of the Kitchens, he can be tapped for a free energy.

Castle Grounds

Tap the stick on the ground in front of Hagrid’s Hut and his dog will come get it.

Lower Floor (Unlocked later in game)

Tap the books on the bench between the Library and History of Magic Classroom.

Hogsmeade (Unlocked later in game)

Tap the student on the sled in the alley between The Three Broomsticks and Honeydukes.

Once you have collected the free energy, they become available again after some time, some of them will be around 6 hours, some a lot longer.

Pets

Another great way to get free energy is by pets. Now pets are a new update to the game and they are acquired by spending gems. If you have pets you can also tap them to release free energy. Like the free energy locations, pets have a cooldown time after you tap them.
