• Stick to the island quests

Don't waste time grinding random NPCs. Just follow the quests and you'll level up, earn cash and unlock new islands much faster.

• Focus your stat points

Dump most of your points into your main damage stat. A few in Defense is fine, but don't spread everything evenly.

• Set your spawn on every new island

Always update your spawn point. If you die, you'll be straight back near your quests instead of sailing all the way across the map.

• Save up for a Devil Fruit

A decent Fruit makes farming way easier than relying on basic attacks, so getting one early is a huge upgrade.

• Don't eat every rare Fruit you find

Just because it's rare doesn't mean it's better for your build. Sometimes you're better off keeping it or trading it later.

• Watch out for the water

Once you've eaten a Devil Fruit, the sea becomes your biggest enemy. Falling in is an easy way to get yourself killed.

• Upgrade your boat early

You'll spend loads of time sailing between islands, so buying a faster boat is definitely worth it.

• Unlock Flash Step ASAP

Flash Step makes getting around so much easier and helps you avoid attacks during tougher fights.

• Grab Sky Walk as soon as you can

Flying through the air makes travelling, exploring and fighting bosses much less of a hassle.

• Farm bosses as you level up

Whenever you're strong enough, start farming bosses. They give great XP and can drop some seriously good gear.

• Finish an island before moving on

Don't rush to the next area. Clearing the quests first keeps your level where it should be.

• Learn the Fruit spawn timer

Devil Fruits spawn every hour and disappear after 20 minutes. Knowing the timer gives you a much better chance of finding one.

• Be ready before Fruits spawn

If a Fruit is about to spawn, stop questing and get into position. You'll have a much better shot at grabbing it first.

• Keep spare Fruits

Don't get rid of duplicate Fruits. They're useful for trading when you want something better later on.

• Don't ignore Mastery

Your best moves come from Mastery levels, so keep using your favourite weapon or Fruit to unlock new skills.

• Don't grind weak enemies forever

Farming NPCs way below your level isn't worth it. Move on when the XP and Mastery start slowing down.

Get Buso Haki at Level 350

This is one of the biggest upgrades in the game. It boosts your damage and lets you hit Logia users.

• Unlock Observation Haki next

Being able to see enemy health and dodge more attacks makes boss fights much easier.

• Check the Fruit Dealer often

Every time you're in town, have a look. You never know when a great Fruit will be in stock.

• Don't waste your Gems

Hang onto your Gems early on. They're much more useful for Race Rerolls and Fruit rolls than random purchases.

• Match your accessories to your build

Don't equip something just because it's rare. Pick accessories that actually boost the stats you're using.

• Boss farm with other players

Running bosses in a group is way faster and makes farming rare drops much easier.

• Keep Light or Flame if you get one early

If you're lucky enough to roll either of these, keep them. They're amazing for grinding and getting around the map.

• Don't swap Fruits just because one is rarer

Some Fruits are simply better for farming. Rarity doesn't always mean it's an upgrade.

• Keep building around your main stat

The stronger you specialise, the stronger your character becomes. Don't keep changing your build halfway through.

• Start farming endgame bosses when you're ready

Most of the best weapons and accessories come from bosses, so you'll be farming them a lot in the late game.

• Log in with a goal

Whether you're leveling, hunting Fruits, farming bosses or grinding Mastery, focus on one thing each session. You'll make progress much faster that way.
