How on earth do I get a fire engine on Gta I have tried everything?

I've never actually tried to get one, but if I was to try. I'd use the map of Liberty city that you get with the game in the case. That lists all the fire stations in Liberty city. Should be easy enough to go to one of these fire stations and grab a truck parked outside.
Grab your cell phone, and dial 911, and then press 3 for the fire brigade. They'll come running, and then you can just take their vehicle.
Out side the fire station near the dump trucks you dumb****
Call 911 and press 3 to call the Fire Department. They'll sent a truck there and you can steal it.
They are located around the map. Easiest way to do that is to use your cellphone (in the game) and call 911 and request a Fire-engine at your location. When it arrives, just jack the Fire-engine, and use the cheat code to lower your wanted level to drive around without worrying about the cops.
