3. Main Story
---------------------------------------------------------------
*****Strategy Guide Main Story*****
An awfully long time ago in a strange and far-off land, a big, bustling
town thrived. All of its residents lived very happy lives, and it is said
that the town was very prosperous. But one day, tragedy befell this blessed
place. A great cataclysm struck the town and its people. Darkness filled the
skies, and the Earth roared as if the very world had come to a violent end.
And but in a single night, the town sank into the depths of the Earth.

---------------------------------------------------------------
4. Main Characters
---------------------------------------------------------------
*****Mario*****
That lustrous facial hair, those stylin' blue overalls: there's only one Mario.
When our intrepid hero receives a request from Princess Peach to help her search
for the Thousand-Year-Door, he abandons his brother (again) and sets sail for the
town of Rogueport.

*****Princess Peach*****
While on vacation, Princess Peach wisely decides to wander off on her own. Rarely,
one to get into trouble, the princess is, surprisingly, nowhere to be found when
Mario arrives in Rogueport. What possibly could have happened to her?

*****Sir Grodus*****
Sir Grodus is also searching for the Thousand-Year-Door. As you can probably tell,
he's the bad guy in our tale (the huge, computerized cranium is a dead giveaway).
He rules the nefarious X-Naut organization with an iron fist and a scary-looking
scepter.

*****Bowser*****
When he finds out that Princess Peach is missing, Bowser immediately sets out to
find the damsel in distress (with the intention of kidnapping her himself, of
course). Along the way, he's sure to run into his long-time nemesis....

---------------------------------------------------------------
5. Partners
---------------------------------------------------------------
*****Goombella*****
Goombella is a young girl Goomba that is from the University of Goom. Her professor
is Professor Frankly. While walking around for info on the Crystal Stars, she runs
into Lord Crump, the leader of the X-Naut army. Mario comes to save her in time...

*****Koops*****
Koops is a Koopa from the town of Petalburg. His dad is hoping that he becomes as
brave and powerful as himself. He has a girlfriend and his own house. After you beat
Hooktail, you will meet Koops' dad after Hooktail spits him out. Koops thanks Mario
so much for encouraging him to rescue his father.

*****Madame Flurrie*****
Madame Flurrie lives in the Boggly Woods in her own house. Her favorite item of hers
is her necklace. She never goes out of her house without it. She loves the Punis, and
she likes Punio the most. What would happen if Flurrie lost that necklace?

*****Yoshi*****
You'll get to name him whatever you want after he hatches out of his egg. He may be
young, but he is a Yoshi that likes to be tough and likes to battle. He has different
colors, and it depends on what file you choose to play. The egg is his color.

*****Vivian*****
Vivian is a Shadow Siren of the X-Naut organization that doesn't feel appreciated at
all. In Chapter 4, as Shadow Mario (AKA, no-name Mario) you will meet her in Twilight
Town. After she figures out you are Mario, she goes away when you face Doopliss. But
she comes back to help you. She is your only partner throughout almost the whole chapter.

*****Admiral Bobbery*****
Admiral Bobbery is a Bob-omb that had a wife named Scarlette. He lost her when he
went on a journey on a ship. He is glad to know that Mario gives him a letter, written
by Scarlette, for the last time.

*****Ms. Mowz*****
Ms. Mowz is a mouse that likes Mario's looks and clothes. She also likes all badges,
because she collects them. If you want to have her as a partner, you need to do her
side quest.

10. Uses of Badges
---------------------------------------------------------------
All right, this is the last part before I explain the chapters. I'll tell you
the uses of badges. When you find a badge, you can equip it with BP(Badge Points).
Just to tell you, if you don't know what HP and FP is, HP is Heart Points, and FP
is Flower Points. Anyway, back to the main point. If you get a badge, as for
example, HP Plus. It takes 3 BP to equip this badge. At the beginning, you
have 6 BP, free for the use of badges. If you choose to level up your BP
after a battle, it'll increase by 3, unlike HP or FP. When you find, trade, buy,
or win (at the Pianta Parlor) a badge, you can equip it with the new BP you own.
But you need to always make wise decisions about what badges you equip. Because
remember, you might not always have enough BP for all of your badges. Also,
when your reading my walkthrough, I might show you where a hidden badge is.

---------------------------------------------------------------
11. A Rogue's Welcome (Intro of the story)
---------------------------------------------------------------
Welcome into the world of Paper Mario: The-Thousand-Year-Door! I'll start with the
story now.

As the town of Rogueport was being built, the ancient town falling into the Earth
passed into fable. No one could really know what happened that day(or night).
After many years, Princess Peach finds a mystical map from a merchant in Rogueport
square. She looks at the map and she figures that it is a treasure map. She wants to
find it, but she thinks she'll need help. So she sends the letter to Mario. That's
where you begin. You recieve the letter, and you get the map too. But the X-Naut
organization's boss, Grodus goes after Peach, because they think that she still has
the map. They kidnap her and hold her prisoner to lure Mario to them. This is where
it all starts. Get ready for a great guide!

*******************Prologue********************
A Paratroopa comes to deliver the mail to the Mario Bros. Luigi comes out to take the
mail, and gives it to Mario to check out. He reads the letter, and of course, he brings
the map. Ok, I've made too many places and areas about where the story starts, but this
is the REAL part! Finally!

When you arrive in Rogueport, head toward the save block and save your progress.
Although you don't have anything new, still save because if you don't, you might have
to start it all over. After saving, go forward, and go right to encounter Goombella
being yelled at by X-Nauts and their leader, Lord Crump.

After Goombella sees you, she will hide behind you and Lord Crump will approach you
and you'll enter your first battle. Lord Crump has only a little HP right now(but
later, he'll have much more!), so it'll be easy to defeat him. Use any attack you'd
like, but if you use jump, press A when you bounce on him. That is called an Action
Command. It can increase your power by doubling it. This technique is very useful
when battling bosses.

After you defeat Lord Crump, he'll tell all his X-Nauts to attack you. Fortunately,
Goombella finds a way out of there, and you do too. She'll tell you to follow her,
but for some reason she's the one following you. Head up the stairs after you escape
and go through the entrance to Rogueport Square. After you enter, Lord Crump will
wonder where you are, and he'll stop his army from jumping. After he's done, the screen
will go to you.

When you are in the town square, Goombella will introduce herself to you. After that,
Toadsworth will come into the conversation, and tell you why he was there. After he
leaves to go to the inn, Goombella will become your partner. She will then tell you to
go to Professor Frankly. So to go to Professor Frankly, go to the east part of town.
But before you do, go save at the block there near the inn.

After you enter, a blue Bandit will steal half of your money. To get all of it back,
go back into the town square and head north into the alley. After the field goes around,
turn left and go in the door. Talk to the Bandit in there and he'll give it back. Then
go back to the east entrance.

Before the guy that blocks the other side to the east, enter the door right before him.
That is Professor Frankly's place. After a huge, long conversation, go outside and then
Professor Frankly will show that the fence is loose. He'll take it off and then he'll
show the pipe. Go down it and save at the block down there. Then head right. The left
is for later. You'll encounter 3 Goombas that are all different.

This is your 2nd battle. They all like Goombella, but when she says something like EW!,
then the Goombas will get mad, and go after you. Don't worry about facing them because
they only have 2 HP each. Use either attack again, but always use Goombella's Headbonk.
Only if you want to know what the enemy is like, then use Tattle.

After you done with them, head right a little more past the part with the moving platform.
Head north until you hit the wall, and turn left. Wait for the platform to come and jump
on it when it comes. Wait for it to go to the other side and jump in the pipe on that side.
You will see two Spunias if you go on the right. When your still on the field, hammer them
or jump on them to make something called a First Attack. if you do this to an enemy during
the time your still on the field, you'll enter battle with causing damage to your foe.

Defeat both of the Spunias and head right. Bonk the switch with your hammer or jump on it
if you like. A staircase will be revealed. Go up it and before entering the black thing,
drop down next to the airplane panel. There is a black key that you'll need. Go back up
and enter the black thing. Put the key inside the chest and free the curse inside of it.

The guy will (this is supposed to be sarcastic) "curse" you and give you the ability to
fly. So go back outside of that room and go on the paper airplane panel earlier. Fly to
the ledge on the left side of the room, and enter the entrance.

You have found the legendary Thousand-Year-Door! Professor Frankly will say to go closer
to the The-Thousand-Year-Door. Stand on the pedestal in the middle of the room. Watch the
crazy lights power up Mario. Then you go back to Professor Frankly's place. After that,
he'll offer to teach you how to use your special move. Also he'll give you a badge that
is called Power Smash. if you don't equip it, Goombella will yell at you when you go down.

After you talk to him about the special move, go down the pipe to Rogueport Sewers and save
at the block again. Then head right. Use the airplane panel to fly to the right, and then go
in the entrance to the right. When you get in there, you'll see a giant thingy! Either hammer
or jump on it and watch a blooper arise from the deep. It'll go after you and start a battle.

It has 12 HP, 1 ATK(some attacks might be more), and 0 DEF. It might take a while, because
you'll need to attack his tentacles too. When he's upside-down, it's easier to attack and
not die, because he can't attack at all. Take him down, and get at least 10 star points.

After your done with the cranky blooper, two platforms will appear and they will lead you
to the other side. Jump on them and get to the other side. You will see a pipe, so go down
it. Say bye to the prolugue!

---------------------------------------------------------------
12. Castle and Dragon (Chapter 1 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Time to begin your real journey for the Crystal Stars! After you exit the pipe, save your
progress since your in Petal Meadows now. Walk to the right and sooner or later, you'll see
a dragon go over you.

After the dreadful, horibble, and very scary dragon passes by, keep heading to the right.
Defeat the Goombas if they get in your way, and keep heading right. After you head into the
next area after the Goombas, defeat the other one so he doesn't bother you. Open the darkest
bushes in the area by pressing A next to it when an exclamation point appears.

You'll discover a hidden pipe. Go down it and head to the right. Hit the switch by jumping
on it, or hammer on it. You'll see a bridge be built. After that, if you head right, you'll
get a Star Piece. I just felt like saying that even if I was supposed to say that in the Star
Piece section. Anyway, go back into the pipe and keep on heading right.

You have reached the town of Petalburg. The Koopa there will have a little chat with you for
a while since you are there next visitor, which was never expected. He'll tell you that Petal
Meadows and Petalburg are two places that are 100% peaceful--except for the dragon named
Hooktail that swoops down to eat innocent and unexpected guests.

After your little chat, go to the pink house that he told you to go to. Go to the next area
and head upward to the pink house. Talk to the mayor and he'll ask you to defeat Hooktail.
But before he knows what your name is(he actually doesn't know), he mistakes you for a burglar.
After he says your name is Murphy, choose one of the options: It's Mario. Or: My name is Mario!
He'll give you permission to go into Shhwonk Fortress and get the two keys.

But of course, before you go to the Shhwonk Fortress, your power of your boots and hammer is
too low, so go to the shop and purchase maybe about 4-6 POW blocks. Save them for when I tell
you to use them.

So head toward the right of the town, and keep going until you reach a building. Enter and go
to the pedestal. Examine it by pressing A when you get the exclamation. The things on the
pedestals will come after you for a battle. So, as I said, use a POW block to attack, and
you'll defeat them in one hit.

The gate will open letting you go through. After the gate opens, go through and head right.
You'll reach yet another building. Repeat what you did at the other building, and then hit em'
with I think 1 or 2 POW blocks.

Then, head to the next building and talk to the thowmp. Instead of a battle, he will do trivia-
fu on you! Of course, your already reading this walkthrough with the answers, so the only thing
you are being tested on is your ability to read. Here are the answers and the questions:

1. What is hidden in this place? Stone Keys
2. How much do a mushroom and a Fire Flower
cost in Petalburg? 12 coins
3. What is the name of the mayor of Petalburg? Kroop
4. Where is the Crystal Star? Hooktail Castle
5. How can one get from Petal Plains to
Rogueport? Go Through a Pipe
6. Which of the following creatures have hands? Koopa Troopas
7. What number question is this? Question Seven

After you answer all of the questions right (which of course, if you don't know how to read, you
didn't get all right), he'll go all sleepy and a pipe will appear. Go down the pipe.

Ok, down here, Fuzzies shall rule! Venture to the left "and" right to get the moon and sun stones.
The fuzzies are strong little fellas, even though all the HP they have is 3. They suck your blood
and get 1 HP. So, as a beginner, on Paper Mario 2, it'll take 2 hits to defeat them. Later on you
should get boots and a hammer that attack with 3 Hp each hit, including the extra hit. Also, if you
get scared by surprises, a fuzzy will fall and attack when you get one of the stones.

After you get the moon and sun stones, and you return back to the pipe, a "Gold" Fuzzy will appear.
It has 10 HP, but don't worry, it sucks your FP instead of HP. After you deplete half of it's HP,
well, did I forget to say that it can summon a Fuzzy Horde? Sorry, looks like I didn't. So, it
summons a Fuzzy Horde that has 20 HP. Don't worry about the Fuzzy Horde, just focus on the Gold
Fuzzy, because when you kill it, the Horde will run away.

After that, you can go back up the pipe, and then travel back to Petalburg. After Petalburg, you
can go back to the place where you saw Hooktail. But before you get there, you will encounter Koops,
the Koopa that some people talk about. You see him right when you exit Petalburg. After a little
chat, his girlfriend appears, and she will slam into you and Koops several times. Pretty embarrasing.
She does this because she didn't want Koops to come with you on a dangerous journey.

After these moments, Peach shall e-mail you. Read her message, then go on.

You should get back to where you were when Chapter 1 started. Remember anything when you were there
last time? A strange kind of rock, and two other rocks that had holes in them? Well, the holes were
keyholes, keyholes for the Moon and Sun Keys. Place them with their shapes (just like baby toys), and
then two switches will appear. Read the strange rock when the exclamation point appears, and it'll show
a message something about the power of two.

So it says you have to hit the switches simutaneously at the same time. To do this, use Koops' X button
ability "Shell Toss" to the direction facing away from the switch and strange rock. Then, let go of the
X button and also hit the switch while jumping or with your hammer when you think it is time to do it.
The strange rock will deform and have a pipe revealed...

As before, the rock was shaped as a pipe. so go through the pipe and head to the castle in the background.
The castle is Hooktail Castle. Part 1 of Chapter 1 in this walkthrough is over! Part 2 is here!

---------------------------------------------------------------
13. Castle and Dragon (Chapter 1 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, yeah, that last 2 sentences in Part 1 were pretty weird. Anyway, inside the castle, Hooktail Castle,
use the small trampoline in the first room to get to the second floor. Then, after you get there, head to
the left and hit the block(only if you don't have full HP, and if you have money). Then go to the right
(still on the second floor) outside. You'll find a paper airplane panel. Fly on it good, because you don't
want to fall into the moat. Then exit your terminal to the giant door on the right.

When you enter, the staircase is only for returning, so don't worry about it yet. Enter the next room and
then if you have Koops out, he will bring you to the skeleton that he thinks is his father. Yep, his father
died a few years ago. Anyway, there will be a letter and Koops will read it, only if you tell him to read it.
After the letter, you should learn (unless you didn't pass the test earlier with the ability to read) that
the dragon's weakness is crickets. Weird, I know.

Just continue to the end of the room, and you'll see a Red Bones. Examine it when the exclamation point
appears...A giant swarm of dry bones will apppear!!! To get through, use your hammer with the B button and
hammer your way through this (literally) rough crowd. The place would start emptying up. When you make it to
the end at the Red Bones, you will enter a big battle of the dead and living! Err...ahem...sorry.

Put Koops in front and blast away with his Power Shell at the skeletons. All Dry Bones will die, and then
after you attack the minions, attack the leader, Red Bones. Smack the big leader with your hammer.

After the big bash, head to the next room, and get to the end. Hit the purple switch from the southeast
corner of the room. You might see a purple block lower down in the northeast corner of the room. Jump on top
of it and then on top of the silver block. Jump across these silver blocks, and hit the yellow block with your
hammer. Then go back to the southeast corner, and hit the yellow block. Then stand to the left of the silver
blocks and use Koops' Shell Toss to hit the red switch. The staircase will end up flipping over.

So, go climb up the staircase to the ledge and then use Koops' Shell Toss again to get the Castle Key. Hit the
red switch to put the staircase back to normal, and then climb up the stairs and unlock the door. Enter the next
room! Well, actually, the room after that.

Here, walk over to the southeast corner again and face to the left of the red switch and use Koops' Shell Toss
again. Hold it, and go to the gate with bars in the northeast corner. Let go of the X button and when the gate
opens, walk through it. Walk to the right through a small hole.

You should see yet again another black chest that is locked up with a voice just like the one before in the
prolugue. It'll ask to unlock the chest to free it. Mario knows this is familiar to him...

Just go into the next room and go to the center. The place is very suspicious I know, but go to the center of
the room and open the chest to get the key. Of course, just have a nice day and walk out the door of the room.
And please try to avoid the spikes in the wall above you coming down in a matter of seconds, and you have a
maze to find your way out of. No really, there are spikes here, coming down on you. Run for your life!

If (though you should have) you made it through the maze, then congratulations! And as usual, that black chest
lied. So, it shall {so called} "curse" you with the power to be just as thin as paper. Hold R to be thin. It'd
be real sad if you couldn't even hold R.

So, you need this ability to get the weakness of Hooktail. No, it isn't a shelter full of crickets you take
along with you. It is the first badge you will find. It is called the Attack FX R. it has the sound of a cricket
so that you can take down Hooktail. To get it, head back to the room where you literally did a prison break. Go
to the first cage thingy and turn into paper and slip through the bars. Get the badge and slip back through.

After you get the badge, head all the way to the place where you found Koops' "dad". Slip through the bars that
aren't in crisscross pattern, and head right to get a castle Key. Go back to the room that I told you to skip.
Stand on the green block and use Koops' Shell Toss to hit the switch. You will go upward. After you get up there,
go up the staircase and use the Castle Key to unlock the door.

Inside, head left and keep going until you get to a blue switch. Hit it, and then an archway will appear to your
left. Cross and then you will see another empty spot. Use Koops' Shell Toss to hit the switch across the spot,
and then the archway will appear. Head over to the third and final gap, and you'll find no switch at all. Try to
find a window that has no glass or anything. Jump through it and then walk left to get past the gap. When you find
another window without glass, jump through it and proceed to the door.

Go up the stairs and then go on either side of the green switch, and use Koops' Shell Toss to throw his shell to
the side. Get on the green block, and let go of Koops. Watch out for the surprise attack of the Dull Bones. Head
to the door on your left and once you enter (I think it's weird) a thief mouse named Ms. Mowz will notice you just
came in. Like almost any woman, Ms. Mowz will feel stricken by Mario's mustache. She might start hitting on him...
But she might also reveal some information about the Crystal Star.

After Ms. Mowz kisses Mario once, she'll leave the room to you, to get the treasures you'd like. Probably best to
get them all? After heading out the room, go to the room to the right.

Head to the southeast corner of the room and hit the yellow switch to bring the block down. Hold Koops to the left
with his Shell Toss and then get on top of the block. Release Koops and then after the block stops, go on the
railing and walk left carefully. When you see a platform in the middle of the railings, use paper mode to slip
through the bars. Go on the paper airplane panel and fly over to the ledge at the end of the room where the door
is. Enter the next room.

Go down the stairs and then hit the yellow switch to lower the block. Use Koops' Shell Toss again to get the Castle
Key on the other side. If you want to get a Last Stand P badge(it reduces the damage your partner gets by half when
they are in peril), then go fall downward where the block was and then walk right to get the badge. Although you do
know that you have to go back a few tips from above in order to get back to where you were?

After you come back (if you were getting the badge) go up the stairs at the wall (not the stairs to the yellow
block) and go up the second staircase. Enter the door, but before you do, you could get the Shine Sprite in the
light of the window(I'm only telling you this because it's something obvious).

Then venture through the enemies in your path and go up the staircase inside the big tower. If you're thinking you
can jump through the windows, too bad, you can't. Just keep climbing and be aware that a Goomba will try to summon
a battle against you at the top of the staircase. Then climb up a few more stairs and then spend 10 coins to heal
yourself from all of the battles you have just done. Save your progress (well you should because this is your first
boss) and enter the giant door. From this door you should be able to tell that this is the door to Hooktail's lair.
Be brave! Oh yeah, and to win, equip the badge that you found in the jail place. The Attack FX R badge will make a
noise like a cricket. When you make this noise, you lower his ATK and DEF.

Well, it's your first boss battle. Hooktail has 20 HP, 5 ATK, and 1 DEF. (These are estimated stats.) Ok, first do
any attack possible with the badge equipped. He'll say:"Bleck! That awful sound! It...sounds like a cricket! How did
you know?" When he says "bleck", and saying "How did you know?" will make you be able to trust Koops' "dad" even
though he's dead. Trusting a dead person. Just plain weird!

Ok, just throw all you got at him, and when his HP is all depleted, he'll offer some rewards for forgiveness. ALWAYS
ANSWER NO! He is only trying to lure you in close for a good attack. When he finishes begging for mercy, he'll go
into "your" crowd and eat members of the audience to replenish half of his health. Just keep jumping and stomping on
his nose to regurgitate (throw up, which is disgusting) the audience, and slay him! Try not to get his blood
everywhere, yuck...

--------------------
Peach's Event
--------------------
Ok, at the end of each chapter, you'll encounter an event with Peach, and with Bowser. In Peach's event, you will
listen to her cut scene, and then enter the door to your left and take a shower. When you return from that room, the
door on the right will open automatically. Proceed to the right all the way until you come to the mainframe of the
lab, named and known as TEC-XX. You'll see the rest for yourself,

--------------------
Bowser's Event
--------------------
All you got to do in Bowser's event is walk to the end of the hall. On the way, you can take the time to talk to his
minions to hear some hilarious dialogue. When Kammy asks if you like fried eggs, say,"They are delicious, after
all".

14. The Great Boggly Tree (Chapter 2 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Return all the way to Rogueport and go back to the Thousand-Year-Door. Stand on the pedestal in front of the door to
learn the location of the next Crystal Star. It will be in a place called Boggly Woods. First go to Professor Frankly
and consult with him. You'll learn about these gray creatures called Punis. Then go back to the room with the first
paper airplane panel you used. Follow the gray creature that your Partner will tell you about, by turning into paper
and going through the bars. Keep following the creature through every area he goes to. He'll stop sooner or later and
realize you're trying to help him.

He'll go through a series of switches to unlock a path that you can go through. First, if you'd like, go through the
door leading to the path, but turn left for a new badge! Then head back and go right to enter a room with a pipe you
can go through to get to Boggly Woods. Here is the real beginning of Chapter 2.

After the cut scene, walk right and hit the save block to save your progress. Then enter the next area. You'll find
three Shadow Sirens that work for your enemy. Don't be alarmed and think your not ready for this. They lost the sketch
of you, so they could find you, so simply walk on by. Talk to them even, but they don't have anything interesting to say.
One of them though will have their suspicions on you. So, just walk on by, walk to the right.

When you enter the next area, you can enter the pipe and follow Punio (just if you didn't know, Punio is the name of the
little guy) to The Great Boggly Tree. When you reach the tree, you, your partner, and Punio will learn that the tree is
closed, because someone has installed a door that prevents you or anyone else enter the door. Punio, though, will tell
about a secret entrance, but you need the help of a lady named Madame Flurrie to find it. He'll say though that you can't
just find it easily. It's not like it's labeled right there saying "SECRET ENTRANCE". (It actually will be when you find
it.

Go back through the warp pipe and go to the right all the way until you find a big, black hill(or something like one). Go
the closest possible to the foreground, and then head right exactly. Then, when Mario stops, push up on the control stick,
and stop when Mario stops moving. Push left on the control stick and you'll find Mario there again, but on the tree stumps.
Follow the path left and when you reach the seventh stump to the right, jump to get a badge called P-down, D-up P. It drops
your partners attack, but raises his/her defense. Hammer on the blue switch to raise the paper airplane panel and pipe. You
should be able to then get over the black (Probably a cubed hill?) hill. You can get to the paper airplane panel via the
nearby warp pipe. Fly carefully and exit your terminal. Head right into the next area.

Head to the small slot in the leaves and turn paper to go through. Find the pipe to your left and go down the pipe. Head
right in the background to Madame Flurrie's house. When Punio asks her for help, she'll say that she'd do anything for him,
but she will also say she can't even leave her own room without her favorite necklace. If you remember, Vivian of the Shadow
Sirens found a necklace lying on the ground. Head back to them and consult them.

Get ready for a battle, because this is the hardest one for you(yet). They will find their sketch when you come there, and
then they will see you. They will summon a battle, and so be prepared my friend.

Start off with attacks that attack all of them at once, as for example, your new special move, Earth Tremor. Press at good
timing when the red circles light up. Try to get a lot of power as possible for this move--it takes up to 6 HP out of your
opponent. Then after attacks that attack them all at once, start attacking Marilyn(the fat one, no offense), because she is
the one with big, strong attacks, since she's the big one. In Boggly Woods, she has 12/40 HP, 2/7 ATK, and no DEF. (Once
again, these are estimated stats.)

After defeating Marilyn, attack Beldam (the smallest one) next, because she can shrink you and your partner, decreasing your
AP(attack power), and increase her sisters' AP. In Boggly Woods, she has 9/30 HP, 1/5 ATK, and no DEF. (These are estimated
stats(again).)

After defeating Beldam, attack Vivian (the pink-haired, red-striped-hat-wearer) next, but there isn't anything threatening
about her. Just attack her because she is the last one left.

After taking out each one, they will run away and drop Flurrie's necklace. Head back to Flurrie's bedroom door, and leave her
necklace by the door. She'll get it and then show her appreciation in a somewhat questionable manner. Then she'll join your
party. Return to The Great Tree and use her wind ability when you are at the place where you and Punio were a while ago.

Punio will go inside and open the door. The red light will turn green. Go to the door and open it to come in. Say good-bye to
Part 1.

---------------------------------------------------------------
15. The Great Boggly Tree (Chapter 2 of the story) Part 2
---------------------------------------------------------------
Inside The Great Boggly Tree. Fascinating...Ok, now head right and two X-nauts from your enemy's organization will attack you.
Just fight back and win!

After you defeat them, a group of 10 Punis will come out after overcoming their fear of themselves being eaten by the rotund
Mario. They will also tell Punio, you, and Flurrie (if you have her out) that the others have been imprisoned. You have to
find the cells that they are keeping them in. So, go through the system of pipes to get there.

First, save your progress, and if you need to, restore your health by paying coins. Go through the pipe in that room. Head to
the pipe in that room, wait later on for the other thing in there with the hole. Go through the pipe, and then head to the pipe
in the northwest corner of the room. Then follow the path through this room and enter the pipe. You'll end up at the cells.

Ok, to get them free, first go over to the blue cell. Talk to Petuni and she'll tell that she wants you to find the key and
free them. To get the Puni Elder free, just head on into the room to the left, and you'll encounter Ms. Mowz again. As usual,
her affection for Mario makes Flurrie jealous. She will give you a clue where the Crystal Star is, which is at the bottom of
the tree. After she leaves, the X-Naut she took out will wake up and accuse you of striking him from behind. Show him what
happens when you insult Mario by taking him down. Then, after your done dealing with the X-naut, pick up the red key he drops.

Use the key to unlock the Puni Elder's cell. When he is finished, head back to the Punies at the entrance. The Elder will
convince them to help you. He'll give you the Puni Orb, and it brings together the Punies in one spot. To get the Crystal
Star, you need this orb to bring all the Punies to your side. If you lose any Punies, you can go back and get them from the
Elder.

Ok, remember the thing in the second room you entered? Put the Puni Orb into the hole and bring them all together. A warp pipe
should appear. Get the orb, and then go down the pipe. Don't worry about the Punies, they have a special hole in the pipes that
they can go through to follow you.

Put the Puni Orb in next pedestal you find and then use Flurrie's Gale Force ability to blow them into the small lake below.
They will get trapped in bubbles, and then when they come up inside the bubbles, move more close to the edge and blow to help
them get across the lake. Then after all of them are across, get the Puni Orb and then jump across the area to get to the other
side. Ok, that sounded just like a familiar joke...Anyway, after getting across, go into the pipe.

Ok, here, be careful, for there is a Pider here. Use Koops' Shell Toss to get the Pider and start a battle so the Punies don't
get scared and fall off the ledge. Yes, this happens all the time. So be careful. Then go down the pipe over on the other side
(that joke earlier seems to be haunting me) and then go right to the pipe in the northeast corner of the room.

There is a badge near one of the Piders, in a red block. To get it, use Koops' Shell Toss to hit a secret yellow block. Jump on
top of it, then jump to hit the red block. If you dropped your Punies by the area near the Pider, here is aperfect, not-a-mistake-
at-all chance to get them back, because the badge will probably fall onto the next level. The badge is Damage Dodge P. It'll cut
the damage your partner gets by 1 with a Guard Action Command. So, when doing a Guard Action Command, your partner will recieve
how much attack the opponent does, but 2 less.

Then go back up the pipe (only if you were getting the badge). Head to where you saw a Jabbi come out of. Head inside there, and
a battle shall occur. Lead your troop into the Jabbi territory and battle for your life! If your troop defeats the Jabbis, they
will destroy the Jabbi hive, creating a hole big enough so you will fit. Inside, head over to the right and go down the stairs,
and then open the chest to get the blue cell key.

Head all the way back to the blue cell and free the Punies trapped inside. The screen should have something say,"90 Punies have
joined your party!" Now there are 101!"

Bring them all back to the place where you got Damage Dodge P. If you'd like, I forgot to mention this earlier, but if you go
down here, and to the left wall, you can use Flurrie's Gale Force on the wall to reveal an entrance to a shop. Here, you can
restore your health for 8 coins, find a Jabbi behind the the stump at the far end, and buy and sell items for money. After your
done, go back to the badge place and go to the upper level's left wall.

Time for your group of Punies to be brave! Honest! Powerful! Time for your Punies to fight the Jabbis for control of The Great
Boggly Tree!!!!!!!!! Fight for your life against the 100 Jabbis! Fight, fight, fight! Here, an epic battle takes place for control
of The Great Boggly Tree! Lead your forces through this great battle! Move it! Move it! Sorry...ahem...er...cough...Anyway, after
defeating the Jabbis, and the Punies emerging victorious, go through the hole that they make by destroying their second hive.

Go down the pipe at the end of the room, and then head to the entrance at the other side (it keeps haunting me, that joke...) If
you put the Puni Orb in the pedestal, you'll be caged in, by a cell. This trap was set by Lord Crump! So, turn into paper and go
down the pipe and memorize the figures in the background. Memorize their order. Hit the black switch, then return all the way back
to the place where you got the blue cell key. You will this time see 4 white switches. When you hit one, one of the figures in the
background will change. Put them in the order you memorized earlier. If you can't remember, here are the figures: Sun, Moon, Puni,
Star.

Head on into the secret entrance (wow, another) revealed and open the chest to receive new Super Boots! You will also meet Toadette,
the one teaching you how to do all of the tricks you will do. She'll explain how to use them. You can also look in #5, under Jump
Techniques.

So, now, with your new ability, head back to the cage, and then ground pound/spin jump through the wooden panel inside the cage. Get
the Charge badge by jumping from each pedestal in that room, and this badge is the badge you need to have "Charge" as one of your
tactics. The charge P badge (for partner) is in Chapter 3.

Go back up into the cell, and then blow the little Punis into the hole with Flurrie's Gale Force. Grab the orb after they are all
gone and then go to where they are, and then go over back up the pipe, and then through the entrance, back up the pipe at the end
of the room, then place the Puni Orb inside the pedestal. Break through the wooden panel there with a ground pound/spin jump, and
then get back up there, and blow the Punies with Flurrie's Gale Force into the hole. After they are all gone, get the orb, and go
down the hole with them. Enter the pipe.

Go to the northeast corner of the room, then south until you get to a pipe. Go down the pipe, and then go to the northwest corner
of the room and go down the pipe. Then head to the pipe south of this pipe, and go down it. Jump across the pedestals and head to
the other side(It strikes again! That joke is still creeping me out...). Go up the pipe, and then step on the switch, and then use
Koops' Shell Toss to throw his shell across. Step off the switch, then release Koops. You'll hit the switch. You'll encounter a
whirlpool in the water.

After the water drains, a chest will be revealed. You can open it to get a Shrink Stomp badge, which lets you jump on their opponent,
and shrink them. There is also a Dizzy Dial behind the stairs.Go down the pipe on the left, and then you'll see the room flooded.
Step across the pedestals and lilipads to get to the other side(Not again. This accursed joke haunts me.). Go down the pipe in the
background, and then enter a new room.

Place the Puni Orb in the pedestal, and then go on the moving platform with the Punis. Save your progress, and heal your health too
if needed. Also, there is a mushroom in the bush in the southwest corner. Enter the next room, which is the base of the tree. Your
second Crystal Star awaits you. Place the Puni Orb in the pedestal in that room, then the Crystal Star should appear. But before
you can grab it, Lord Crump comes out from his hiding palce and steals it. Race him back to the entrance before the clock runs out,
or the tree will EXPLODE!!! Run for your life!

First, grab the Puni Orb, and go through the pipe that appears after he escapes. Use the little machine to turn the light green, to
enter the door. Head back up the pipe in the next room, and then up the pipe on that level. Run left quickly to the pipe across the
room, and then go around the area, but first, remember to use Koops' Shell Toss here to hit the Pider so the Punies don't get scared.
I don't think there is one there since you defeated it already. Then go up the next pipe, and then place the Puni Orb in the pedestal
and let Flurrie blow for her life! Then, after they are all gone, jump off the ledge, or across, and down the pipe, and then let them
follow you back up the pipe. Go use the machine thing again and turn the light green. Enter the door. Save your progress, and heal
your health. Get ready for your next boss battle!

Ok, while the Puni Elder is yelling at Lord Crump for being rude, the clock continues to click. So, it is recommended that you shut
their mouths up by finishing their conversation! Thank you. Now, he'll hop into Magnus Von Grapple 1.0, your next boss. Your first
attack can be anywhere on him. His head can be struck with jump attacks, and his feet can be struck with ground attacks. No part
of the body is more vulnerable than the other. After a few series of turns, Magnus Von Grapple will detach both it's fists. They
both fight individually, and they are strong. You may not last long against them. So, take them out in just a turn, because they
fortunately have only 2 HP. Then, after the fists are destroyed, attack the body with anything you got. Keep doing this, and in no
time, you should defeat him. He has 30 HP, 2 ATK, and 1 DEF. (Once again, these are estimated stats.)

--------------------
Peach's Event
--------------------
TEC will ask Peach to dance with a simulation/holograph of herself. Press buttons while they appear on the screen to see the dance
skills of a princess. If you want, before coming to TEC, you can go over to the shower and take one to hear Peach hum a different
tune.

--------------------
Bowser's Event
--------------------
Funny, we all know, you'll be playing a level of Super Mario Bros., in World 1-1. You have unlimited lives, so it doesn't matter
if you die. Walk through the level happily (actually angrily) while you burst everything in your path to rubble! Ain't that sweet?
Probably pick up meat on your way until Bowser is the size of your screen. You'll get to Petalburg and then you should be able to
see a funny moment where Bowser mistakes a poster for Peach herself.

---------------------------------------------------------------
16. Of Glitz and Glory (Chapter 3 of the story) Part 1
---------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah, this is my favorite chapter. The one after though is almost everyone's hated chapter. The next one is about a Creepy Steeple
building that you venture in, with ghosts fusing together and attacking, and moving staircases, boulders, and other things, and a
creepy person who you won't know the name of steals your name and body, and you turn into Shadow Mario. Well, that revealed too
much. Creeping you out, huh? It's all 100% true. Anyway,

---------------------------------------------------------------
44. Trouble Center/Solutions to Side Quests
---------------------------------------------------------------
The Trouble Center is a place that is on the east side of Rogueport, and it's somewhere where you can help someone with their
problem. Each and every time you solve a quest, you get a reward. Some rewards aren't as worth as the quest itself, while others
are over 40 coins. Here are some solutions to Side Quests:
Prolugue:

Garf: Need a key!
Location: On east side of Rogueport past the gate to the Robbos. At the locked door on the east.
Solution: Find the key at the Lovely Howz of Badges. To get here, go upstairs inside the inn, and then go to the door in the
southwest corner of the room. Walk left to get the key.
Reward: 20 coins

McGoomba: Safe delivery...
Location: Back alley on the right.
Solution: Bring the package he gives you to Goomfrey. Goomfrey is at the front of Merlon's place and Professor Frankly's place.

48. Funny Parts/Bloopers
---------------------------------------------------------------
Ok, this is what I have so far for funny parts/bloopers.

Funny Part/Blooper #1: Prologue:
Goombella acts as if she has been brainwashed. She doesn't know who she is looking at. After Toadsworth comes in, Goombella
finally knows who she is looking at.
My comment of part/blooper: I feel that this is very sucky, and I really don't know why I put it in.
Rating: 3.5

Funny Part/Blooper #2: Chapter 1:
After (or before, I forgot) Koops joins your party, her girlfriend attacks her with her own Shell Toss and makes Mario and
Koops spin around like crazy.
My comment of part/blooper: To me, that was a little funny, but kind of weird. I know this is weird, but it makes me feel
all tingly.
Rating: 8.5

Funny Part/Blooper #3: Chapter 1:
When inside the castle, you meet Ms. Mowz. Ms. Mowz seems to like you, and so she kisses Mario and he goes "awawawawawaaaa!!!"
My comment of funny part/blooper: Unusual, very unusual.
Rating: 6.0

Funny Part/Blooper #4: Chapter 2:
You meet Ms. Mowz when she attacked an X-Naut. Flurrie feels jealous that Ms. Mowz is there. Ms. Mowz kisses Mario and again,
goes "awawawawaaaaa!!!" After, Flurrie feels jealous still.
My comment of funny part/blooper: The edition of Unusual Events #2.
Rating: 5.0

Funny Part/Blooper #5: Chapter 2:
In one part where Punio talks to the Elder in the red cage, Mario might start to sleep because it is taking forever to finish
the conversation.
My comment of funny part/blooper: Wake up, Mario! Rise and shine! HHHEEELLLOOO!!!
Rating: 8.5

Funny Part/Blooper #6: Chapter 2's Bowser's Event:
It was really funny when Bowser mistook a life-sized poster of Princess Peach for her real self. The Koopa goes all,"No! Not my
life-sized poster of Princess Peach!" He takes it down and hurries back inside. Bowser has a little sweat mark on himself, and
he says, "Gah! Ugh! THAT WASN'T PRINCESS PEACH?!", says Bowser.

Funny Part/Blooper #7: Chapter 3:
It's a bit weird how Rawk Hawk just killed the Dark Koopatrol in one hit. Just one jump...(touch)..."I'm hit! Ugh..."says Dark
Koopatrol. He didn't really say that but it would be funny if he did.
My comment of funny part/blooper: We need to take Dark Koopatrol to the Hospital! Wee...woo...wee...woo...wee...woo...
Rating: 8.7

Funny Part/Blooper #8: Chapter 3:
Too bad how that guy one time in the minor league was saying funny stuff. "Be careful.""Ow, watch that leg of mine.""Mommy!"
My comment of funny part/blooper: Another patient! Almost unconscious! Help him! Stop crying for your mommy! Ugh...
Rating: 9.5

Funny Part/Blooper #9: Chapter 3:
Weird how an egg could run away by itself. Haha. "Come back here! No, bad egg!"says the hot dog person.
My comment of funny part/blooper: The egg is on the loose! Runaway egg! Catch it!
