For your 1st question,you control digimon.(2)You need to do side quests or you need to reech a certain level.(3)You can play as Guilmon,Agumon,Dorumon or Veemon.(4)You can play in a team mode.There can be up to 4 players.(5)No you get to pick your own digimon.
In this game you control the digimon.I do not know when you digivolve.You can play one player mode or you can play four player mode wich would be team mode and you do not fight your friend.You choose your digimon when you start.There are no people in this game.I think.
