2. Controls
============

There are many types of moves for Mario and Luigi in this game. Here they are:

------------
Basic Moves
------------

Move: To move, use left or right to move Mario/Luigi in that corresponding
direction.

Duck: This can only be done if you are at least Big Mario/Luigi. To duck, press
and hold Down and your character will duck. This may be able to help them dodge
attacks.

Jump: To jump, press the A button. Mario/Luigi will jump into the air, but
Luigi's jump is higher. You'll obviously need to jump to get on different
platforms and to jump across gaps, and other stuff.

Open Doors: This can be done by pressing the Up button when your character is
directly in front of a door. Now you will be able to open it.

Shoot Fireballs: This can only be done if you are Fire Mario/Luigi. Once you
grab a Fire Flower, press B to shoot out a Fireball. You can shoot out as many
as you can.

Run: To run, move left or right while holding the B button. You will know you
are running full speed if the red meter at the bottom of the screen is at full
and blinking. If you are in the water, you'll be able to swim faster if you
hold the B button.

Go down a Pipe: If you see a pipe on the ground, you may be able to enter it.
If you want to, get on top of it and if it's a pipe you can go down, press
Down. You will head down the pipe if it leads somewhere.

Go up a Pipe: Sometimes, there may be a pipe in the ceiling. If you want to
head up if (if you are able to), get underneath the pipe, jump, and right when
your head is under the pipe, press Up and you will be able to go into it.

Slide: In some levels, there are steep slopes leading down or up. If you want
to get down a slope quicker, get to the top of it and while heading down the
slope, hold down. Mario/Luigi will slide down the slope fast and knock out any
enemies in their paths. This is a fast way to get down the slopes.

Swim: Of course, you'll have to be doing this in the water levels. This is just
like jumping, except you can swim as high as you want and move at the same
time. You can hold B to swim faster and use A to swim higher, and let go of A
to sink lower into the water. As always, use the D-Pad to move around in the
water.

---------------
Advanced Moves
---------------

Fly: To fly, you'll need to be Raccoon Mario/Luigi. Now, you'll also need to be
running, which you do by holding the B button and running right or left. When
the red meter at the bottom of the screen is full and blinking, jump and you
will be in the air. Now, keep tapping the A button to stay in the air. You will
be able to fly until the meter stops blinking.

Float Down: Once you stop flying in the air or if you are in the air after
jumping, you can float down slowly to land on a safe spot on the ground. If you
are Raccoon or Tanooki Mario, you can keep pressing the A button to wiggle your
tail and float down slowly. This is useful for avoiding death pits and other
enemies.

Crouch Slide: You will need to do this plenty of times in the Ice Land.
Sometimes, there are openings that Big Mario/Luigi are too big to go through.
You can get past them by doing the crouch slide. To do this, run and then when
you are fast enough, hold the Down button and let go of B. This will have Mario
or Luigi sliding when they are ducking, allowing you to slide under those small
openings and do other things as well.

Koopa Shell fun: When you see a Koopa, you can stomp on them and they will be
stopped inside their Shell. You can pick up their Shell by holding the B
button, carrying it around, and then when you see something, let go of the B
button to fire the shell and have the shell attack what's there.

Crouch Jump: This is like the crouch slide, except you jump while you are
ducking. In some levels, there may be a power up coming out of a "?" block that
may be too small for Mario/Luigi to get. To fit in the small opening, hold Down
and jump. Now, you can fit inside a small opening in the air and get a power-
up/go into a room.

Gap Dash: In some levels, there are gaps that are 1 block wide from each other
(1 block wide is the size of 1 "?" block). If you see this, you can run across
the gap without jumping or anything, assuming there is no gap more than 1 block
wide. This saves times and it is easy to do.

Jet-Coaster Jump: In some levels there are steep slopes and then a gap at the
bottom. Now, slide down the slope and at the bottom of it, jump off and you
will be launched really high into the air, and then try to land on where you
want to land.

Diagonal Jump: Another obvious move in the game. When you jump, you can use the
D-Pad to move left or right to try and land where you want. This is needed to
get up staircases and such.

Corner Jump: This is another technique you'll need in the later levels.
Sometimes, there is a higher platform directly above you and there is only one
way to get around it. Now, you'll need to get to the edge of the platform
you're on, then jump and move right/left to get onto the platform you're on.

Swimming Jump: Sometimes there are levels with water beneath you. If you happen
to get caught in the water, get to the top and press A+Up to get out of the
water and jump high into the air. You'll need to do this for levels with fast
water currents and to hop around the levels as well.

-----------------
On the World Map
-----------------

L: Open up Item Inventory, and then use D-Pad to move around and A to select
the item you want.

R: Open up the E-Reader menu. If you are not in World-e, you can open this up
to scan one of the E-reader cards that come in Series 1 and 2. Then, these can
be put in your item inventory at anytime (except when you are in a level).

Move around: Use the D-Pad to move from area to area on the world map. Where
the coins are, those are not levels.

Enter level: Press A on a tile that says "1, 2, 3, etc". This also includes,
castles, fortresses, mushroom houses, 1-up games, etc.

=========
3. Items
=========

Here is a list of items in the game. This includes items you can carry, and
items you can't have for your item inventory. On your item inventory, you can
hold up to 28 items maximum.

-----------
Main Items
-----------

Main items are items you can have in your item inventory.

Mushroom: This is probably the main item in the game. These slide around the
level when they come out of a "?" block. If you are little Mario, touching one
of these will turn you into Big Mario. If you are Big Mario or something else,
nothing will happen. Being at least Big Mario allows you to duck.

Fire Flower: This will pop out of a "?" block if you are at least Big Mario.
Grabbing one of these will turn you into Fire Mario, giving you some more
abilities to do. You will have the ability to shoot out fireballs. To do so,
press B, and it will damage/knock out most of the enemies it hits. When you are
in the ice world, it will melt the ice blocks that are one block big when they
hit, revealing an enemy or a coin.

Feather: Once hit out of a "?" block, these will float down to the ground.
Quickly grab one of these before it floats off the screen. Like a Fire Flower,
you will have the ability to do extra stuff. Once the running meter at the
bottom of the screen is full, you will have the chance to fly when you jump in
the air. To do so, just keep tapping A to stay in the air for a short period of
time. Also while you are in the air (it doesn't matter if you're flying or
not), you can keep tapping the A button to glide down slow and float to safety
so you won't land in someone's little death trap.

P-Wing: If you can't get past a level, use one of these. This will turn you
into Raccoon Mario/Luigi. But that's not all. It gives you another nice
ability. As long as you don't get hit, your running meter will be full at all
times. Yes, this means you can have unlimited flying time without running out
and falling to the ground. You can stay in the air all you want by just keep
pressing A. Be warned, if you get hit, you'll lose this ability, turn back to
Big Mario, and getting another Feather on the map will not give you the ability
back.

Magic Whistle: There are only three of these in the game, so use them wisely.
They are hidden in the World 1 fortress, World 1-3, and in a hidden area in the
World 2 map being secured by a Fire Bros. These will warp you to another world,
but you are limited. Depending on the world you are in, you will have the
choice to pick one of the next upcoming 3 worlds (ex: if you are in World 2,
you would get to pick World 3, 4, or 5 next). If you use 2 at the same time,
you will have the chance to go to World 8, the final world of the game. But
using these eliminates your chance of clearing all 90 levels.

Invincibility Star: You can find these in levels and you can win these a lot in
the N-Spade games. Getting one of these makes you invincible for a short amount
of time. While invincible, you will be able to knock out almost any enemy you
run into, but watch out. You can still die by falling in gaps and lava and
such. If you knock out more than 8 enemies in a row while invincible, you will
start getting 1-ups. So, these at least serve a purpose.

Music Box: This item is really useless, and a waste of space in your item
inventory, unless you are a really bad player at this game. Once you bust out
this jack-in-the-box item, it starts playing the Super Mario Bros. theme on the
map! Well, I'm not surprised. It plays it in a melody tune, putting all Hammer
Bros. on the map to sleep. That means they are unable to move and being on the
same space on them will not start a fight; you can just pass through them. This
only last for 2 turns, so this ruins the fun.

Lakitu's Cloud: Again, another useless item, unless you're really bad at this
game and having trouble in a certain spot. On a world map, using one of these
will put you in Lakitu's Cloud (and if you were Lakitu, what would you be doing
right now?). Now, you can skip over a level you haven't finished and then the
cloud will wear off. Only useful if you are struggling and want to move on.
This item could've been more useful if you could use the cloud during the level
and ride around in it.

Hammer: Yep, Mario used to be a carpenter before he was a plumber. No, this
isn't a Super Smash Bros. Hammer you can use in a level and smash up all the
enemies. Instead, it serves a better use. On the World map, you will see
boulders and rocks blocking Toad houses and secret paths to item areas. You can
use the hammer to smash up the rock/boulder blocking the way. On World 2, a
rock is blocking the magic whistle which a Fire Bros. holds. On World 3, you
can use it to get to a boat and sail to two islands with 1-up and Toad houses
in them. In World 4, it leads to a Toad House with a Tanooki Suit. Although
there are only 3 secret areas with this, you only get 2 in this game, so it's
up to you to think which 2 choices you want.

Anchor: This item is rare and appears in only 3 Worlds, which are Worlds 2, 4,
and 6. To get one of these, you'll need to unlock a Blue Mushroom house, and to
do that, you'll need to get a certain amount of coins in a certain level. In
World 2, you'll need to get at least 30 coins in World 2-2 to have this appear.
In World 4, you'll need to get at least 24 coins in World 4-2. In World 6,
you'll need at least 78 coins in World 6-7 to unlock this. Well, here is the
use for this item: if you lose a life on an airship, it will slide to a
different part of the map. The anchor will stop it in its place on the map so
you don't have to chase it around, and it won't move anywhere else on the map.
Useful if you lose lives a lot.

Frog Suit: These are common in World 3, where you have to do a lot of swimming.
Putting this on will turn Mario into a frog. If you are Frog Mario on land, you
will be unable to run and you will still have the same jumping height. In the
water these are obviously a lot more useful. Instead of having to press A to
jump around, you can use the D-Pad to go wherever you want, and if bubbles are
being blown out of a pipe, it will not move you, so those won't be annoying
anymore. Use these for water levels. It also makes a good suit for your local
school dance.

Hammer Suit: I never knew Mario went this far into carpeting. It seems putting
this on puts you into offense heaven. When you wear one of these, it's like
being Fire Mario, except better. Instead of shooting out fireballs, you throw
hammers! Someone's going to have a concussion. These aren't any ordinary
hammers. These can knock out Boos and some of the flames too! Something a
fireball can't do. Also, it can knock out Thwomps as well, so you'll be more on
the safe side in the later levels. Also, when you duck, any fireballs a Piranha
Plant shoots at you will not hurt you, giving you more protection. The only bad
thing is that on Hammer Mario, you cannot slide down slopes, as you will only
be able to duck. To shoot

Tanooki Suit: Aww, Mario gets to be a bear. A dangerous bear. Being in a
Tannoki Suit is just the same as being Raccoon Mario, except better. You still
have a limited amount of flying time however when you run and stay in the air.
But when you duck and press B, Mario will turn into a statue! This lasts for a
few seconds, but while you're a statue, nothing can hit you, so this is good
for areas with plenty of enemies. My favorite suit in the game. Plus if you
have a little kid, this would make a great Halloween costume by being a fake
statue in a yard or trick-or treating.

------------
Other Items
------------

These are items that you can't put in your item inventory.

Jump block: These are red and white blocks with a music note on it. Too bad it
didn't play music while hopping on them. You can use these to bounce high in
the air and to get onto higher platforms. Sometimes there may be a hidden item
in these if you stomp on them or hit them from below. To bounce high, keep
pressing A when you land on the block. If you see a red version of these
blocks, these will take you into coin heaven. All you have to do is bounce hard
on them and you will be launched into the sky. But the thing is that these are
hidden, so you'll have to look.

Continuous Invincibility Star: Now, these appear in some of the levels. In some
levels, there will be an Invincibility Star and if you grab it, one of the next
few blocks may have an Invincibility Star in it too. But to get it, you must
get to the block while you are invincible, otherwise you will get just 1 coin.
These can become a good way to get 1-ups, like in World 7-3. But you'll have to
be fast and not waste a lot of time.

1-up Mushroom: These are in e-reader cards, but they still won't pop up in your
item inventory. These are green mushrooms that you can find in levels. These
are rare but you can find them easily enough in most spots. Picking up one of
these will give you an extra life as you guessed. It's always good to have a
high amount of lives because you get a game over if you hit 0 lives.

P-Switch: These are the round switches that have a P on them. Hitting them will
turn coins into blocks and vice versa. This can also be important in many of
the levels to get past walls of blocks or to use the blocks as bridges. You can
also carry these around by just holding B and getting next to them. Then you
can drop it by letting go of B.

==============
4. Characters
==============

These are just the main characters, as enemies will have their own section.

Mario = Of course, he is the main character of this game. In Super Mario Bros.
3, he is out to go rescue the 7 kings of the Mushroom Kingdom, who have been
turned into animals by the Koopa Kids, who also stole their magic wands as
well. In his 3rd debut (on the NES) of his Mario series, he rescued Princess
Peach in Super Mario Bros. and out to stop Bowser again. I also prefer Mario
over Luigi because he runs faster, and he can stop faster, so you won't slip
off a platform.

Luigi = Mario's younger brother who has the option to join and help Mario at
the beginning of them game (when you choose just Mario or Mario and Luigi). He
was there to help Mario in the past and always will since 1985. Many people
choose Luigi over Mario just because now he can jump higher than Mario in this
Super Mario Bros. 3 remake. This makes the game easier for many people. But he
is slower than Mario and flies slower. Another bad thing is that when trying to
stop while running, he tends to skid around and he may slip off a platform.
Also, you can be Luigi even if you do have 1 GBA. You can use him to have extra
item storage or be able to work with different characters.

Princess Peach = The Princess of the Mushroom Kingdom. It looks like Peach
doesn't get kidnapped in this game while you are out there saving the Kings.
Instead, she just writes letters to you giving you an item that may be in handy
after clearing a castle. But, after you save all the kings she gets kidnapped,
so you have to go out there and stop Bowser again. In earlier versions of this
game, she would say "Thank you Mario, but our princess is in another castle"
when you save her. Now whoever made her say that has an annoying mind. Anyway,
her only use is having her give you items and tell you hints.

Toads = These do a lot for you in the game. In the Mushroom houses, they are
the host, telling you what to do. Also, in the 1-up games, he is also another
host, telling you the rules of how to play and such. He is also another host in
the N-Spade game, and last but not least, he jumps around like a girl saying
the king has been transformed. Like the transformed king is really going to eat
him...

Bowser = The main enemy of the game. He likes to go out there and kidnap
Princess Peach. He is a giant Koopa that breathes fire and does a lot of other
things. You will see him at the end of the game to fight him and he is always
the one causing trouble in all of the other Mario games.

The Koopa Kids = Bowser's mischievous little children (if they are his kids,
how were they born?). There are 7 of them, named Iggy, Morton, Wendy, Ludwig,
Lemmy, Roy, and Larry. Each of them have their own special abilities, which I
will mention during the Walkthrough. They are the ones sent out to turn the
kings into animals and take over certain lands. My favorite is Ludwig as well.
My favorite types of enemies in the game.

=============
5. Obstacles
=============

These are things in the game not part of any other section in this FAQ. This
also includes the stuff at the bottom of the screen when you play a level.

Here is stuff at the bottom of your screen:

Time: The amount of time you have left for the level. Some levels have higher
time levels while some have lower. When your timer hits 0, you lose a life and
need to start the level again.

Score: Shows your current total score. Getting a million points gives you a
star at the game selection screen. Also, your score is required to be a certain
number to get aboard the white airships.

Lives: Shows how many extra lives you have. You can have up to 999 lives
maximum. Once your lives hit 0, you will get a game over and need to start bac
at the last location you saved.

------------
Other Stuff
------------

"?" Blocks: These are found in pretty much all of the levels. Inside of these
has something in them. Could be a useless coin, a Mushroom, Fire Flower, Leaf,
maybe a P-Switch or a suit for Mario. Sometimes these contain power-ups if they
are all by themselves. Hit these and try to memorize which blocks give out
which.

Coins: These can be anywhere in the game. In the air, in blocks, you name it.
Collecting coins also gives you a chance to get onto the white airship when it
depends on your score (see my unlockables and secrets section in this guide).
Also, collecting 100 of these give you a 1-up, so if you see an area with a lot
of coins, try to collect as many as you can. Coins are also needed for the mini
games in World-e.

Yellow Bricks: These are also scattered around many levels. You need to be at
least Big Mario if you want to break these, otherwise they can't be destroyed.
You will need to destroy these to get past certain areas when these block your
path, and to get onto higher ledges. Another use is that some blocks have
something hidden in them when you hit them. Sometimes multiple coins or a 1-up
Mushroom.

Blue Bricks: These are different from the yellow bricks. Instead of being able
to break them open, you can pick these up and kick them at any enemy you want.
You will need to do this to get to some areas in the later level, and it will
knock out pretty much almost any enemy. Most of these blocks are common in the
Ice World.

Vines: These mostly come out of "?" blocks and come at different colors. These
usually lead to secret levels or to higher platforms. When you see one of
these, don't worry. Just get in front of them and hold Up to climb them. These
may be found hidden sometimes.

Hidden Blocks: Maybe you'll find one of these jumping out of nowhere. Maybe
you'll find one of these to solve a puzzle. Whatever it is, these do serve a
big use in the game. Sometimes you'll find 1-ups, coins, or whatever. But in
some levels, you'll need to use hidden blocks as bridges to get from 1 place to
another, like you'll see in one of the World 7 levels if you mess up.

===============
6. Walkthrough
===============

Here is some stuff you can do during the game or before playing it:

Before starting the game you'll get 3 files to choose from. You can save on any
of them after beating a fortress or an airship, and you can get back to it any
time as many times as you want. You'll also have the option to Save and Quit
and load back up from the level you were previously at. Beware however that you
can only use this once and then you'll have to Save and Quit.

Now, on with the Walkthrough. Here is the story first:

It was a rainy day in the Mushroom Kingdom. An airship was sent out to each
world in the game. In each was a Koopa Kid, Bowser's mischievous children. They
stole the wands from the kings and transformed them into something weird, and
are out to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. One of the Toads writes a letter to
Princess Peach, and then she reads it to Mario and Luigi. Now it is up to them
to save the Mushroom Kingdom.

Now, before starting the game, you can select if you want to play as just Mario
or Mario and Luigi, where you control them every other turn.

<><><><><><><><><><><>
World 1: Grass Land
<><><><><><><><><><><>

Your quest starts here. Star by moving northeast to the 1 tile, and press A to
start it.

----------
World 1-1
----------

Ah, time to start the level. First, let's open it up by giving the Goomba a
nice surprise and stomping him. From there, continue right until you get to 4
"?" blocks. The 4th one has a Mushroom, so use the higher platforms to hit it
and get the Mushroom. Now jump over the pipe to your right and you will get to
a Koopa on a green platform. Stun him and kick his shell at the "?" block to
your right and a Leaf will pop out if you are still Big Mario. Grab it and
continue all the way right until you get to a gap, dodging all of the enemies
you see. Once you get to the gap, jump over it. Now, head right and you will
get to two "?" blocks. The second one has a Mushroom/Leaf, so pick it up and
head right. Jump over the next gap you see.

Over here, head right up the stairs and continue all the way right until you
get to an opening in between two pipes. Watch out for the small gap, jump into
the opening and you will be fine. From here, run right to the end of the level
and hit the tile. If you hit it while running, you should get a Star out of it.

WORLD MAP
From here, head east to the number 2 tile on the map.

----------
World 1-2
----------

Another easy level. Of course, it's World 1. Start the level by heading up a
slope. At the top, head right until you get to two "?" blocks. Hit the second
one for a Mushroom/Leaf and then get on top of these "?" blocks. Use them to
jump over the pipe to your right. Now head right up the slope before loads of
Goombas come out of the pipes. At the top, jump over the pipe and you will get
to two bricks. Hit them if you're little Mario and the coins around you will
turn to bricks. Use them to get to the pipe and enter it. In here, collect the
coins and enter the pipe to leave this room. Back out here, head all the way
right up and down the slopes until you get to two music blocks.

The second music block will have a Mushroom/Leaf in it, so pop it and grab the
power-up you get. From here, head all the way right, jump over the pipe and you
will get to three music blocks. The third one has an Invincibility star, so hit
the block and pick it up. From here, run all the way right over the final pipe
to the exit, and then hit the tile at the end of the level.

On the world map, you have an option to go east or so south and get to the
fortress without doing the levels. But this walkthrough will go in level order
so I will list them here. Head east and take the next level.

----------
World 1-3
----------

New enemies are in this level. The first new enemy you'll find is right next to
you at the start of the level, which is a Boomerang Brother. Dodge its
boomerangs and continue right until you get to a music block. Use it to get
onto the bricks above you. On here, head right and drop back down to the ground
below you. Down here, head right and you will see 4 blocks stacked on each
other. Hop over them and you will get to 3 blocks stacked on each other. Hold
right against them and jump and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out of it, so grab it.
From here, head right and jump over the next pillar and the small gap. From
here, run all the way right until you get to the exit, dodging all of the
Boomerang Brothers, Koopas, and Goombas you see.

Once you get to the exit, hit the tile and you will get at least a 1-up for
collecting three tiles.

Now, on the world map, enter the Toad House. Pick any chest and you will get an
item. Now let's go onto the fourth level.

----------
World 1-4
----------

Welcome to the first challenge of the game, and it is the first auto-scrolling
level as well. Start this level by hopping onto the bricks next to you. Use
them to get onto the sliding platform to the right. Before it falls, get on the
bricks to your right. On here, get the coins while waiting for the screen to
scroll. Use the next two platforms to get onto the lower of two platforms next
to you. On here, hit the third brick and a 1-up Mushroom will pop out. If it
slides to the right, grab it, otherwise leave it alone. From here, get on the
platform to your right. On here, get the coins and hop to the next L-Shaped
platform.

On here, get to the platform below you. Down here, hit the brick to your left
and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. From here, get back onto the
higher platform and head onto the sliding platform to the right. On here, get
to the backward L-shaped platform to the right. See that brick on top of the
other? Whack it with your tail (if you are Raccoon Mario/Luigi), and a 1-up
Mushroom will pop out, so pick it up. From here, get onto the sliding platform
and use it to get onto the platform to the right. On here, get on the sliding
platform to your right. Wait for it to fall and when the timing is right, jump
into the opening between the two bricks.

On here, jump onto the sliding platform to your right. Use the next few sliding
platform to get onto the next platform of bricks. On here, jump over the Koopa
to your right and enter the pipe. In here, run straight to the exit, hit the
tile, and you're done.

WORLD MAP
Now, head southwest to the spade game to play for 1-ups. Now, after that, head
west to the first fortress.

-----------------
World 1 Fortress
-----------------

Don't worry, it isn't that bad. Only the second half can annoy you if you're
not quick. Start the first fortress by heading up the stairs to your right. At
the top, head right and jump right from platform to platform over the lava
until you get to a "?" block. Once you get to it, hit it and a Mushroom/Fire
Flower will come out. Get the Fire Flower if you prefer it over the Leaf and
jump over the pit to your right. From here, head all the way right up and down
the stairs until you stop at lava, dodging the circles of fire swirling around.
Once you get to the lava pit, jump over it and jump from platform to platform
until you get to another "?" block. Hit it for a Mushroom/Leaf, and then open
the door to your right.

Watch out! The ceiling full of spikes is falling above you, so get in the small
opening you see in between the spikes and you'll be fine. Once that passed
through, head right and jump over this platform until you get to the other end
of the room. Once you get over here, the spikes won't touch you and wait for
them to rise to the ceiling. This will show another door, so open it. In here,
head right until you get to the first boss fight of the game.

******************
Boss: Boom Boom
Difficulty: 1.5/5
******************

This fight is really easy, and you'll be fighting a lot of these. First, the
wall will close in so you won't be going anywhere. When you start the fight
with Boom-Boom, hit him on the head and get to his left. While he is stunned,
wait for him to jump in the air and hit him again, otherwise try to hit him
when he's sliding around. After the second hit he will run crazy around the
room. Once you get the chance, hit him on the head for a third time and you're
done. He will explode, releasing an orb. Collect it and you're done with this
fortress. Now it will explode, also getting rid of a lock on the map to get
around the world easier.

WORLD MAP
Save your game, and head southwest to the 5th level.

----------
World 1-5
----------

You'll start this level by sliding down a slope, knocking out all of the
enemies in your path. After that is done, get out of the water and head up the
slope to your right. At the top, get past the pipe. From here, head right and
you will see higher and lower ground. Get on the higher path and head right
until you see an opening above you. On the left wall of this opening is a
hidden musical block right here:

           _____ ____________
                | |
                |B |
 ______________/ |
               X /
--------------------/

Say the X is you. The B is where the hidden block is. Get next to the left wall
and jump until you hit a music block. Once you find it, bounce on it and it
will send you into coin heaven. Up here, get all the coins possible, and once
you're all done, head down the pipe at the end of the level. Down here, go
right and get on the higher platform. At the top, slide down the slope to your
right, and you will knock out all the enemies in your path. At the bottom, fall
down the pit to your right. Down here, jump over the pipes and watch out for
the Piranha Plants. Once you do that, head right to the end of the room and
jump through the pipe in the ceiling.

Out here, head right to the exit and hit the tile.

WORLD MAP
Now, head east to the 6th level.

----------
World 1-6
----------

This level is just like World 1-4 with all the platforms, except this is easier
and the screen doesn't scroll. Now, head right and jump from platform to
platform until you get to a platform with a "?" block on it. On here, get rid
of the Koopa and hit the "?" block for a Mushroom or a Leaf. Now, hop on the
platform to your right. On here, get on the moving platform to your right and
use it to hop onto the music blocks. On here, hop onto the platform to your
right. On here, hop on the platform to your right. On here, there will be 4
bricks above you. Hit the second one to the left and it will create a hole. Now
hit the second one from the right and a 1-up Mushroom will pop out, so quickly
grab it.

From here, get onto the high platform to the right. On here, you will see a
small gap in the platform, so fall on it and you will land on a block. Use it
to get on the platform to your right and it will start moving, so ride it until
you see another platform made of blocks, and then get on it. On here, get on
the moving platform to your right and use it to get onto the platform to your
right and it will start moving up and down. Use this platform to hop on the
platform to the right. On here, run right and you will get to the exit, so hit
the tile.

*******************************************************************************
WORLD MAP:

By this time there should be a Hammer Bros. walking around near you. Get to it
and you will start a fight. Knock it out and a chest will appear, so pick it up
for an Invincibility Star. Now, get your random item from the Toad House to the
left. After you do all that, head to the castle where Toad is screaming for
help.
*******************************************************************************

----------------
World 1 Airship
----------------

Before you aboard the airship, you'll see the king has been transformed into a
snake from Super Mario Bros. 2. Now, you will head to the airship and get
aboard it, find the magic wand, and defeat Larry.

All airships are auto-scrolling levels. Start this level by heading right,
seeing your first sets of cannons in the game. Get past them and dodge their
cannonballs, which are pretty easy to dodge. Get past them and head right,
jumping over each cannon and pillar. From here, continue right until you get to
a "?" block. Hit it for a Mushroom/Fire Flower and get it. Now, head right
until you get to a staircase, dodging all of the cannonballs, cannons, and the
ones on the ceilings too. Once you get to a ceiling, head up it. At the top,
enter the white pipe.

******************
Boss: Larry Koopa
Difficulty: 1.5/5
******************

This is your first official boss of the game, and he is pretty easy. Don't
worry, all Koopa Brothers do this. They fire a magic blast from the wand at the
start, and it shouldn't hit you if you jump. From there, Larry will try to jump
at you, so dodge him. Now hit him on the head when you can, he and will be
stunned and then jump into the air. Dodging his magic blasts are easy, and hit
him a second time. When trying to hit him a third time, he will go faster and
fire the wand more often, but Larry is easy and shouldn't be a problem. After
the third hit, he will surrender the wand, so pick it up and turn the king back
to normal.

Now the king lives you a letter from Princess Peach:

"Greetings,

If you see any ghosts, be careful. They will give chase if you turn away.

I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.

Princess Toadstool"

The item she gives to you is a P-Wing. If you did all the levels, you will get
a World 1 Perfect Clear. Otherwise, save your game. Onto the next world!

<><><><><><><><><><><><>
World 2: Desert World
<><><><><><><><><><><><>

On the world map, head northeast to the first level of World 2. Time for some
hot, hot times in the desert.

----------
World 2-1
----------

Welcome to the desert, and the first level of this world is quite fun. Start
this level by heading right and you will get to a set of bricks. If you look
really carefully, you will see some darker blocks. These blocks like to jump
around, so watch out. But they can be fun to play around with by hopping on all
of them in the area. Anyway, you will see a "?" block in these bricks, so hit
it and a Mushroom/Leaf and then grab it. Once you do that, get past the bricks
to your right. From here, head right, jumping over all of the bricks until you
get to two "?" blocks. The second one has an Invincibility Star, so hit the
block and grab it. Now run all the way right until you get to two music blocks.

Bounce on them to get onto the purple platform above you. On here, head right
and you will see a gap with two wooden blocks in them. Use them to jump over
the gaps and get onto the other purple platform. On here, run right until you
get to the edge of the platform. Once you get to it, drop down to the ground
below you. Down here, head right until you get to a set of bricks and two
orange pipes. Watch out for the Piranha Plants and the jumping blocks. From
here, run all the way right and you will get to the exit. Now hit the tile,
watching out for the hoping brick.

WORLD MAP
On the world map, head north and you will see a spade icon to the left and the
2nd level to the right. Play the 1-up game on the left and after that, head to
the next level.

----------
World 2-2
----------

This level is pretty pointless and all you do is ride a platform across the
water. So I just call this the "oasis". Anyway, start the level by heading
right and jumping over the sand pit. Watch out for the Piranha Plant shooting
fireballs at you. From here, head right and you will see a block on the ground.
Bump into it and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. From here, jump
over the orange pipe and the gap to your right. Now, jump over the sand pit to
your right and then continue right to get to a really pointless part in the
level. You will see a platform above the water, so get on it and it will start
sliding to the right.

On here, ride this moving platform all the way to the end of this water pit,
jumping over all of the blocks you see, collecting all of the coins in your
path, and knocking out any flying Koopas that get in your way. At the end of
the ride, get on the ground to your right and enter the orange pipe. In here,
run right to the exit and hit the tile when you see it.

WORLD MAP
Now, on the world map, head south to the fortress.

-----------------
World 2 Fortress
-----------------

Pretty boring fortress if you ask me. Once you start the level, head down the
stairs next to you. At the bottom, head right until you see a Thwomp on the
ceiling. Get close to it and it will pound to the ground, and when it rises,
run under it so it won't hit you. From here, head up the stairs to your right.
At the top, head down the stairs in front of you. From here, continue right
until you see another Thwomp in the ceiling. Get close to it so it falls and
rises, and then run under it. From here, head right up the stairs and you will
see a green pipe hanging from the ceiling, so enter it.

Up here, walk right and you will see a brown platform and a spike pit.
Carefully jump over the spike pit to get onto the platform. On here, wait for
the Thwomp to fall and then get past it. Now jump over the rest of the spike
pit and get onto the platform to your right. On here, RUN all the way right
until you get to a door, and all of the Thwomps you see should fall and miss
you, ignoring the Boos too. Once you get to the door, open it and go through
it. In here is a platform falling and rising with spikes on them. When they are
high in the air, run under them. After you run under the first 4 spike
platforms, you should see a door rising and falling. When it rises, open it and
go through it. In here, run right into the boss room.

******************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty 1.5/5
******************

Just like the first fight, Boom-Boom is easy. Once the fight starts, try to hit
him on the head. Now, he will be stunned and jump into the air, then try to run
like crazy around the room. The trick is to get next to him while he is
stunned, and then to hit him in the air when he jumps, otherwise you'll have to
hit him a different way. After two hits, he will run around the room faster, so
watch out trying to hit him a third time. After three hits, he will explode so
collect the orb and you're done with this Fortress.

WORLD MAP
On the world map, the lock next to the pipe will be removed, allowing you to
get to the pipe and a Mushroom House. Enter the Mushroom house and get your
random item, and then proceed to the third level of this map.

----------
World 2-3
----------

Coming here as at least Big Mario is pretty useful. The first few parts of this
map has pyramids made up of platforms. At the start of the level, get to the
top platform on the pyramid next to you. At the top you will see a brick under
both "?" blocks. Break the brick on the right and hit the block and then a
Mushroom/Leaf will come out, so pick it up. From here, hop onto the next
pyramid to the right. On here, get to the top and you will see two "?" blocks
on top of bricks. On here, break the brick on the right side and hit the block
and an Invincibility Star will pop out, so pick it up.

From here, get to the bottom of the pyramid. Down here, jump over the gap to
the right. Instead of getting on top of this pyramid, just ignore it and get to
the right of it. From here, head right and now you will get to pyramids made of
bricks. Jump over them and watch out for the bricks that jump high into the
air. Once you get past these pyramids, head right and you will get to a
staircase, watching out for all of the jumping bricks. Once you get to the
staircase, head up it. At the top, fall in the pit to your right. Down here,
stun the Koopa and kick the shell. Now quickly get out of this pit so you won't
be killed by the shell. Now watch the shell get rid of all the bricks,
uncovering an orange pipe.

Once all of the bricks are clear and the Koopa Shell is below the orange pipe,
go back down into the pit and enter the pipe. Out here, head right and you will
get to the exit. Hit it.

WORLD MAP
Now, on the world map you may be fighting a Boomerang Brother if one is on the
map. If so, one gives out a Hammer and the other gives out a Music Box. Once
you get to these on the map, fight them.

-----------------------
World 2 Quicksand Area
-----------------------

One of the most annoying levels in the early parts of this game. You have
plenty of sand pits in the beginning, the tornado, and an Angry Sun. Coming
here in at least Big Mario is highly recommended. Start this level by heading
right. Jump over the first sand pit. Now, the second one will have a Piranha
Plant spitting fire at you. Jump over it and now jump over the third pit. This
pit has two Piranha Plants spitting at you, so when they duck into the
quicksand, jump over them. Now you will be in a flat land. Get rid of the Koopa
and RUN right at full speed. You will see a white tornado. If you are running
to it at full speed, jump into it and you should be able to fly past it.

Otherwise, you'll get thrown back near the quicksand and then try again. Once
you get past the tornado, continue right. As you progress through the level,
the sun in the air will start to move and dive down at you, so when you see it
move, stay where you are and jump when it dies. Once it starts attacking,
continue right until you see a Koopa. Stun it and pick up the shell. Wait for
the sun to dive down and when it is right next to you, kick it at the sun and
he will be gone. Now, continue right past the bricks and Koopas until you get
to the exit, dodging the sun if you didn't kill it (wouldn't this place be dark
now)? Once you get to the exit, hit the tile. So much for this level.

WORLD MAP
On the world map, you will have a choice to head north or south. Head north,
get the item in the Mushroom house, and go to the 4th level. If there is a
Boomerang Bro in your way, knock it out. Make sure you fight both and you will
have a Hammer and a Music block.

----------
World 2-4
----------

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coming here as Big Mario is highly recommended again if you want to take a
shortcut in this level. One you start the level, head right and you will see a
Red Koopa on a platform. Stun it and get on the ground below you, which is to
the left of a small pit. In this pit is a "?" block. Kick the shell at the
block and a Leaf will come out, so pick it up. Now go back to the start of the
level until you hit a wall. Above you is a brick. Run around to power up your
meter and then fly and hit the bricks. Once you get all through of them you
will be in a secret area. In here are plenty of coins and a P-Switch to have
plenty of fun. Just head right until you get to the edge of this platform, and
then drop down. Down here, head right and hit the exit tile.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok, you want to be a man and take the level the hard way. So it doesn't matter
which Mario you are entering the level. Start the level by heading right until
you see a pole with a Koopa on it. Stun it and drop down to the ground below
you. To your right should be a "?" block in a gap. Kick the shell into the gap
and it should hit the block and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up.
From here, jump over the gap and get on the ground to your right. On here, head
right and you will see another Koopa on a platform. Stun it and pick up the
shell. Holding the shell, jump over the gap to the right. On here, kick the
shell and hit will hit a "?" block, revealing a Mushroom/Leaf. Pick it up and
get rid of the Boomerang Brother to the right.

From here, head right until you get to a "?" block, jumping over all of the
gaps and platforms you see. Once you get to the "?" block, hit it and a
Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. Now get on the higher platform above
you. On here, jump over the orange pipe and continue right until you get to the
exit, knocking out all the Boomerang Brothers and Koopas you see, and
collecting all of the coins as well. Once you get to the exit, hit the tile.

WORLD MAP
Now, on the world map, get to the 5th level which is to your southwest.

----------
World 2-5
----------

Another fun level. This level also introduces the Chain Chomp enemy, so be
careful. Start this level by dodging and jumping over the first Chain Chomp you
see. Now continue right until you see another Chain Chomp. Use the higher
platforms to get past him. Now, head right and you will get to a gap. Jump over
the gap and continue right. You will see another Chain Chomp, and use the
higher platforms to dodge him again. From here, head all the way right until
you see another higher platform above you, so jump onto it. On here, head right
and you will see a Koopa. To your left should be a pit with 5 bricks. Stun the
Koopa and kick it into the bricks. It should hit the lower bricks and one of
them should have a vine popping out of the brick.

Climb the vine to the top and you will see platforms made of clouds, so get on
them. On here, head left and hop from cloud to cloud until you get to a pipe,
collecting all of the coins as well. Once you get to a pipe, enter it. In here,
collect all the coins and you will see a set of bricks in this room. Hit the
one in the lower middle and a P-Switch should come out of it. Destroy the
bricks around it and then hit the P-Switch, and this will turn all the bricks
to coins. Collect them all and then enter the pipe to leave this room. Back out
here, head onto the platform above you and you should see 4 "?" blocks. The
first three blocks have coins, and the fourth one has a Mushroom/Leaf, so pick
it up. Now, drop down to the floor below you.

Down here, run all the way right until you get to the end of the level. Once
you get to the exit, dodge the Chain Chomp and get the exit tile.

WORLD MAP
On the world map, play the 1-up game near you and then head to the pyramid.

----------------
World 2 Pyramid
----------------

Like most levels, coming here in at least Big Mario is suggested. Try to best
come in here as Raccoon Mario/Luigi. Anyway, you'll start the level next to a
big pyramid. If you notice, there is a different colored platform next to a
door. You can walk through that platform, so head up the stairs, enter the door
and you'll be in the pyramid. In here, head up the stairs to your right. At the
top you will see a "?" block. If you are already Raccoon Mario, ignore it.
Otherwise, get rid of the Buzzy Beetle and hit the block for the Mushroom/Leaf.
Now, head right down the slope. Stun a Buzzy Beetle and pick it up, and then
get on the middle platform heading down the slope. Over here, kick the shell at
the bricks and they will break, or you can whack them with your tail to get rid
of them.

Once you get past the bricks, head right to the blue pipe. Get on it and get on
the platform to the left. Up here, head left and get on the platform to your
right. On here, use the Buzzy Beetle shell to get rid of the bricks to your
right, or you can tail whack them. Once you get past the bricks, head right and
you will see a pipe and a platform above you. Jump around to the right of the
platform until you find a hidden block. Use this to get to the pipe and then
enter it. In this secret room, break one of the bricks above you, and then get
on one of the bricks. Up here, collect all the coins. Now break a brick above
you and get on the platform above you. On here, collect all the coins and then
hit the P-Switch on the bottom of this room. This will turn the rest of the
bricks into coins, so collect them all and leave this room by entering the
pipe.

Back in here, head right until you stop at a wall of bricks. Either tail whack
them to get rid of them or have a Buzzy Beetle Shell get rid of them. Once you
do that, head all the way right until you see a pipe in the ceiling. Once you
see the pipe, enter it. Out here, you will be on the other side of the pyramid.
Get rid of the Boomerang Brother and head left up the pyramid stairs. You will
see a P-Switch, so hit it and blue coins will appear. Collect them all and then
head right to the exit. Now hit the tile.

WORLD MAP
On the map, you should already have a hammer from the Boomerang Brother. If
now, fight it. Now, get to the extreme northeast corner of this map. You should
see a rock next to a tree, so break that rock using the hammer, and it will
make a new pathway. On this pathway is a Fire Bros. and a Toad House. Enter the
Toad House for a free Frog Suit and fight the Fire Bros. for a whistle
(bringing a Fire Flower is suggested). Once that's over with, head to the
castle.

----------------
World 2 Airship
----------------

Well, it seems in the castle, Morton Koopa has transformed the king into the
ladybug from Super Mario Bros. 2. Time to go save the Desert Land by boarding
the Airship. Start this airship by heading right. Dodge the first two cannons
and watch out for the Bullet Bills. Now get onto the higher platform above you.
On here, head right and watch out for the cannon below you. On the other edge
of this platform, drop down to the ground below you. Down here, jump over the 4
sets of cannons of all sizes, watching out for the Bullet Bills. Past the
cannons is a higher platform. Get on it and dodge the rest of the Bullet Bills.
On here, hit the "?" block for a Mushroom/Fire Flower. Pick it up and head
right. You will see crates below you, so get to them. Dodge the Bullet Bills
and get to the ground below you.

Down here, head right. You will get to another pair of cannons and Bullet
Bills, so carefully dodge them. Now, use the crates to get back onto the
platform above you. On here, head right and fall into the small pit. Down here,
you will see yellow tips coming out of the ground. These are a new enemy, the
Rocky Wrench. They come out of the ground and throw wrenches at you. Knock out
each of them without getting hit by the wrenches or the Bullet Bills. Head
right, get past the 2 sets of cannons, and then enter the silver pipe.

*******************
Boss: Morton Koopa
Difficulty: 2/5
*******************

Morton is just as easy as Larry Koopa. At the start of the fight he will fire a
magic blast at you. If you don't move, it shouldn't hit you. The only
difference with Morton is that the floor is a little bit more bumpy and that
Morton fires a bit more often than Larry. Stomp him on the head and he will
retreat to his shell, going into the air. When he comes out, try to hit him
again for the second time. After two hits, he will become a bit faster and fire
the wand more often, but it shouldn't be much of a problem getting that third
hit in. After 3 hits, he will surrender the wand so pick it up. The king of the
Desert World has been saved and he looks like a king for sure this time. Of
course, he gives you a letter from Princess Peach.

"Greetings,

The White Block contains magic powers that will help you defeat your enemies.

I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.

Princess Toadstool"

The white block she is talking about is that pointless music box. Her gift is
the Lakitu cloud that lets you get past levels without playing them. Sweet.

If you did all World 2 levels, you will get a World 2 Perfect Clear. Save your
game, and then let's head to the next world. After this hot, hot desert, Mario
is about to take a nice swim into the water.

<><><><><><><><><><><>
World 3: Water World
<><><><><><><><><><><>

On the map, there is a boulder next to you blocking a 1-up game. If you didn't
use your hammer the last world, you can use it here. Otherwise, ignore the pipe
and head up to the first level.
----------
World 3-1
----------

As always, life begins in the water. Come here in at least Big Mario. When you
start the level, you will sink to the ground. After that, fall down the gap to
the left. Down here, hit the "?" block for a Mushroom/Fire Flower because
you'll really need it. Many people ignore this area as well. Now, head back up
through the opening to the level's starting point. Back over here, swim all the
way to the right until you get to a large pit, dodging all of the Bloopers you
see and swimming over the pipes blowing you up into the air. Once you get to a
large gap, step into it. Down here, swim right and collect the 8 coins,
watching out for the flower shooting out mines. From here, swim right past the
pipe.

Now, swim right and you will get to two "?" blocks. There is also a flower
spitting mines below them, so be careful. Hit the left block for a
Mushroom/Fire Flower, grab it, and collect as many coins as you can. Now, get
to the wall on the right and start swimming upwards. You will get to another
opening, so head into it. From here, swim all the way right until you stop at a
wall, swimming through all of the platforms and dodging all of the Blooper
Nannies. If you see one, fry it with your new Fire Flower. Once you stop at a
wall, there should be a pipe on the ceiling above you. Swim up to it and enter
it. Out here, head right to the exit, and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head north to level 2, and play the N-Spade game if it pops up.

----------
World 3-2
----------

This is a really fun map. Start this level by getting onto the platform moving
up and down to your right. From here, get on the moving platform to the right
and then use this to get onto the platform to your right. On here, hit the "?"
block and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will pop out, so pick it up. Now get on the
platform to your right. Once you get on it, it will start moving, so ride this
platform until you see an L-Shaped platform made of wooden blocks. Once you see
it, bump into one of the blocks on the left and then hop onto the platform. A
star will come out of the left block you bumped into, so pick it up. Before the
moving platform gets away from you, hop back on it. On here, ride this
platform, skipping the first "?" block.

If you are still invincible when you get to the second "?" block, hit it for
another star and then grab it to stay invincible. Now ride this platform until
you get to the end of it and then hop on the platform to the right. On here,
hit the "?" block if you are still invincible for another star, and then head
on the platform to the right. This platform will start moving, so ride this
platform until get to the end of it. At the end of the ride, get onto the
platform above you. On here, there will be a pipe to your right. There is a
Piranha Plant shooting fire at you, so dodge it and wait for it to go back into
the pipe. Now enter the pipe. Out here, you will be in the exit area. Head
right to the exit and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head northwest to the mushroom. Pick any of the 3 chests for a Frog Suit, and
then head east to the third level on the map.

----------
World 3-3
----------

A really annoying level in this game. Watch out for Big Boss, and please enter
this level being Fire Mario. Start this level by heading right and jumping over
the gap. Also watch out because the platforms rise and fall as well. If Big
Boss jumps at you, fry them with your Fire Flower. Now, head right over the
small gaps and you'll get to a platform made of bricks. Cross the platform to
the edge and then head on the platform below you. From here, head right and
jump from platform to platform until you get to a spinning red platform,
dodging Big Bertha. From here, get on the red platform when it stops spinning
and use it to get onto the platform to your right. On here, hit the brick for a
Mushroom/Fire Flower and then pick it up.

Now head right and hop on the bricks in the air. On here, hop on the next set
of bricks to your right. From here, hop from brick to brick until you get to
the last brick, and when that happens, drop down to the normal platform below
you. Down here, watch out for a Big Boss or a Cheep-Cheep, and then hop from
platform to platform until you see another platform made of bricks, dodging all
of the Cheep-Cheep and a Big Boss. Once you see the bricks, get on them and hop
across them until you get to a red spinning platform. Get on it when it stops
spinning and then use it to get onto the pipe to your right. Enter the pipe.
Out here, head right to the exit, and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head south to the Fortress, fighting any Hammer Bros. in your way.

--------------------
World 3 Fortress #1
--------------------

This fortress is really easy. It has 9 doors, and most of them lead to the
basement of water where you swim just back to a door. When you start this
level, head right and count the doors, dodging all of the Boos and Thwomps in
your way. Count the doors until you get to the 6th door. When you get to it,
open it and go through it. This is the real door. In here, use the platforms to
get onto the platform above you. On here, open the door and go through it. In
here, head right and you will get to Boom-Boom.

******************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************

Ok, you're fighting Boom-Boom again. Easy this time, right? Not. Well, when the
fight starts, try to hit him on the head when he starts moving around. After
the first hit, get next to him while he's stunned. When he jumps up into the
air, hit him. Otherwise, Boom-Boom will grow a pair of wings and he will start
to fly around the room. Now, wait for him to swoop down on you and when the
timing is right, hit him on the head. After 2 hits, he will lose his wings so
try to hit him a third time before he moves around really fast and jumps like
crazy. After 3 hits, he will explode, so jump up and pick up the orb he leaves
behind. So much for this rip off castle.

WORLD MAP:
Play the 1-up game to your left. Save your game. Head east and you will have
the choice to play either level 4 or 5. Since this guide is going in order, do
level 4 first. Also, fight any Hammer Bros. you see. Once has a Hammer you'll
need.

----------
World 3-4
----------

This is a fun level. Start this level by heading right and sliding down the
hill to knock out the two Goombas. From here, head right and jump over the two
pipes and you will get to a "?" block. Hit it and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out,
so pick it up. Now use this block to get onto the hill above you. On here,
slide down the hill to your right and knock out all the Goombas. At the bottom,
jump off the hill and you should go really high into the air, high enough to
get onto the platform to the right. If not, you will fall into the water. Get
next to the wall on your right and jump. A hidden block should be found, so use
this block to get onto the platform above you.

Up here, slide down the hill to the right. At the bottom, hit the "?" blocks
for coins and continue right until you see a "?" block on top of a wooden
block. Hit it for a Mushroom/Fire Flower, and grab the Fire Flower if you
prefer it over a leaf. From here, continue until you get to a bridge made of 5
bricks. Get under them and hit the second one to the left and a 1-up Mushroom
will pop out. Pick it up and then watch out. This will be the first level you
meet Lakitu in. Watch out and dodge all of his Spinies. Continue all the way
right until you get to the exit, dodging Lakitu and his Spinies, and jumping
from platform to platform. Once you get to the exit, quickly hit the tile
before Lakitu causes more problems.

WORLD MAP:
If you notice above you, there are bridges deploying up and down leading to a
Mushroom House. To make the bridges go up or down, you must play a level and
die/beat it. You then can get to the Mushroom House for a free Frog Suit.
Anyway, head south to the 5th level.

----------
World 3-5
----------

A frog suit would be nice hear because you have a lot of enemies and obstacles
in your way. So, if you have one, wear it. Now, start the level by diving into
the water to your right. From here, continue right under the "?" blocks,
dodging all of the Cheep-Cheeps and Big Berthas out there. From here, stay low
in the water to avoid the worst enemies. Now, continue to swim right until you
see a pipe next to a gap, collecting all of the coins and dodging all of the
enemies you see. Once you see a pipe next to a gap, enter it. You can only do
this if you are Frog Mario.

In the pipe, HOLD RIGHT WHILE FALLING to get into the opening to the right. If
not, enter the pipe, go back left, and try again. Hit this giant "?" block for
3 1-up Mushrooms and collect them all. Now leave this place. Back in the water,
swim left and you will see a pipe hanging from the ceiling. Try to swim up to
it and you should find a hidden block containing a 1-up Mushroom. Here is an
ASCII to help.

       | |
       |____|

           1

X

Say the X is you. You see the pipe above you and the 1 is a 1-up Mushroom. Try
to swim up to the pipe right around there to find the hidden block. From here,
swim all the way right until you get to a pipe, dodging all of the Bloopers,
Jellyfish, and Big Berthas. Once you get to a pipe, enter it. Out here, jump
around over the water until you find another hidden block with a 1-up Mushroom.
Use this ASCII to help:

--------|
        |
        |
--------| 1 -----------

________________________________________

X

Say the X is you. The long line of underscores (where the X is below) is the
water) and the line of dashes is a platform. The 1 is where the hidden block
is, just next to the pipe. Jump around in this area until you find it. Once you
find it, head right and swim out of the water. From here, head right until you
get to the exit pipe, and then hit it.

WORLD MAP:
Ok, hopefully you still have that Hammer you got from the Hammer Bros. in this
world. If so, head southeast and use the hammer to smash the boulder. Now head
right to the dock, and then hop on the boat. Use the boat to get onto the
island on the right. On here, play the two 1-up games and get the Frog Suits
from both Mushroom houses. Now swim right to the next island which only has 1
Mushroom House. Enter it and claim the item in any chest. Now swim back to the
World Map, and head north up to the 6th level.

----------
World 3-6
----------

I really hope you aren't afraid of heights for this level. This level is also
an auto scroller. Start the level by heading onto the donut platform to the
right. Hit the "?" block for a Mushroom/Fire Flower and then get onto the
platform to your right. On here, use the red spinning platform to get onto the
wooden platform to the right. On here, stun the red Koopa and then kick its
shell to the right and it will fall to the platform below, hitting the bricks
for multiple coins. Once that is done, head onto the next wooden platform to
the right. On here, head right and use this platform to get on the smaller
platform to the right of here, dodging all of the Koopas. On here, kick the
Koopa off this platform and then before you get on the next platform, you will
see a higher and a lower platform.

Get on the lower platform and you will see three ice blocks. Pick one up and
toss it on the brick to your right. It will reveal a P-Switch, so hit it and
all of the bricks will turn to coins. You'll notice one brick will not turn
into a coin. Hit that and a 1-up Mushroom will pop up, so get it when it slides
to the right. Now grab all of the coins. Once that is done, try to get onto the
platform above you. On here, head on the donut platforms to the right. Use
these to hop onto the red spinning platform, and then use this platform to jump
onto the pipe to your right (or you can jump over the red platform). Now enter
the pipe. From here, jump from platform to platform until you get to the exit,
and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP: Head east to level number 7 on this map.

----------
World 3-7
----------

This level is pretty fun if you have a Fire Flower. Start this level by hitting
the "?" block above you for a coin. Now drop down to the ground below you. Down
here, head right and jump over the gap. From here, head right until you get to
a set of bricks. Dodge all of the enemies throwing spiked balls at you as well.
When you get to a set of bricks, hit all of them until you can get to the top
row. The second to left brick on the top row has 1-up Mushroom, so hit that
brick and get the 1-up. From here, head right and jump over the gap you see. On
here, get rid of the Koopa and the Spike enemies. Now jump over the small gap
to your right. From here, jump over the green pipe and then jump over the small
gap. Now, to your right are two u-shaped platforms made of bricks.

Get on top of the bigger one. Above you is the smaller u-shaped platform. Now,
the top left brick has a vine. This is the one to hit:

  V--Vine
  _ _
 |_|___|_|
 |_|_|_|_|

X

Say the X is you. The brick below the V is the one to hit. Shatter the brick
below it and hit that brick. A vine will pop out, so climb it. At the top, head
left and jump from cloud to cloud until you get to a brick, collecting all of
the coins you see. Once you get to a brick, hit it and a P-Switch will pop out.
Hit it and then drop back down to the ground below you. Down here, head right
and collect all of the coins while they are still here. From here, head right
and you will get to a green pipe. Jump over it and you will see a higher
platform. Jump on it. On here, jump onto the next higher platform. Bump into
the wooden block to your left and a Fire Flower will pop out, so pick it up.
Now, head right until you get to the exit, dodging all of the Spikes in your
way. Once you get to the exit, get rid of the Spike and hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head southeast to get to the second fortress of this world.

--------------------
World 3 Fortress #2
--------------------

A Frog Suit isn't really necessary here, but it's not 100% needed. But come
here in Fire Flower form. Once you start this level, enter the pipe to your
right. In this room, swim up to the higher platform above you. Up here, swim
right until you get to a "?" block, dodging the Roto-Disc and Cheep-Cheep you
see. Once you get to the "?" block, hit it and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will pop
out of it, so pick it up. From here, swim right past the next Roto-Disc and
then enter the pipe to the right. In this area, there is a set of white
platforms and Boos sliding on them, and they can hurt you. The best way you can
avoid them is to swim underneath them where they won't be able to touch you.

Now you will get to a lone platform with Boos on it. The best way to get
through this one is to swim over it. Now to the right of this is a set of
platforms with Boos sliding on them. To get past this one, swim right in the
middle of them without going too high or too low. After that, swim right to the
pipe. In here, head right and you will get to Boom-Boom.

**********************
Boss Fight: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 2.5/5
**********************

This is just like the last fight you had with him, except this room has two
blocks on the air, which may get in your way or something. The fight starts out
as always. Hit Boom-Boom on the head. Now, while he is stunned, get right next
to him. When he jumps up in the air, try to hit him again before you get to the
worst part of the fight. Boom-Boom will grow a pair of wings and fly around the
room and then swoop down at you. When that happens, try to hit him. After two
hits, he will go around the room fast and jump around, so try to hit him on the
head as best as you can. After three hits, pick up the orb he leaves behind.

WORLD MAP:
Play the 1-up game to the left, and then head west to the 8th level.

----------
World 3-8
----------

Why must we see Big Bertha again? WHY? Bring a Fire Flower with you to this
level because Big Bertha is after you again. Make sure you don't become his
lunch. At the start of the level, fry him with a fireball. Also, the platforms
you're on will rise and drop to the water. Another thing is if you collect 44
coins here, you get the Blue Mushroom house. So let's make this level worth it.
Start the level by hopping on the platform next to you. On here, hop onto the
next platform. Kick the Koopa at the brick and a vine will come out. Climb this
vine to avoid Big Bertha when the platforms sink low. From here, hop onto the
next platform. On here should be two ice blocks and a brick.

Kick the ice blocks out and keep hitting the bricks for multiple coins. Once
that is over, hop onto the next platform. On here, make a long jump for the
next platform. Get the 3 coins on here and then hop onto the next platform. On
here, collect all of the coins and then kick the Koopa shell at the next brick
for a vine. Use this to stay away from Big Bertha. When the platforms are high
again, hop onto the next platform. On here, get the 3 coins and then hop onto
the next platform. Get on the brick to avoid Big Bertha and then get the 4
coins above you. From here, get onto the platform to your right. On here, head
right and get on the pillar. Below you should be another platform and a wooden
platform.

Use the wooden platform to get to the platform below you. Down here, collect
the 6 coins and you will get to a P-Switch. Hit it and the coins to your right
will turn to bricks. Run and then duck to slide beneath you, and then get the
coins above you. Up here, get the coins and then hit the brick and a 1-up
Mushroom will pop out, so pick it up. When the P-switch music stops, get the
coins below you, and then run for the hills to get to the pipe on your right,
and then enter it. In here, run to the exit and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP: Head southeast over the bridge to the last level of this world. If
you got 44 coins from World 3-8, a Blue Mushroom will appear on the map. Get to
it, enter it, and get a P-wing.

----------
World 3-9
----------

Yay, we get to end World 3 with a fun level. Start this level by dropping down
to the ground below you. Down here, head right and run under the pipe. From
here, head right and jump over the cannon, watching out for the Goomba above
you. From here, head right until you stop at another cannon. Once you do, use
the platforms next to you to get onto the platform above you. On here, head
right and you will get to the edge of the platform. At the end of the platform,
drop down to the ground below you. Down here, head right and you will see 3
music blocks surrounded by ice blocks. Get rid of the ice blocks and then hit
the middle music block for a Mushroom/Fire Flower, and then pick it up.

From here, head right and you will get to another set of ice blocks. Get rid of
them and then get rid of the Koopa. In here, break the ice blocks to your right
and then hit the brick above you. A 1-up Mushroom will come out of it, so pick
it up. From here, head right and you will get to another set of ice blocks. Get
rid of them so you will be able to enter the pipe. Once you get rid of them,
enter the pipe. You will now be in the water. In here, swim right until you get
to a pipe, dodging the Cheep-Cheep you see. Once you get to a pipe, enter it.
Back out here, head right to the exit and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Enter the pipe to your right. In here, enter the pipe to your right. Back on
the world map, enter the castle to your left.

----------------
World 3 Airship
----------------

Jeeze, can't Nintendo think of something else to transform these enemies? All
of them are from other games. This king has been transformed to an Albino
Rhino. Time to board the airship once again. Try to bring a Fire Flower with
you as well. At the start of the airship, jump over the pillar to your right.
From here, jump into the pit to your right. Down here, watch out for the Rocky
Wrenches popping up from the ground. Get rid of them and then jump over the
cannon to your right. From here, head right onto the higher platform and then
drop down to the ground below you, dodging all of the cannons firing at you.
Down here, head right and get onto the platform above you. Up here is a "?"
block. If you are Big or Fire Mario, a Leaf will pop out. DO NOT GRAB IT IF YOU
ARE FIRE MARIO, OTHERWISE PICK IT UP.

From here, get right and get past all the cannons aimed at your head. Now get
onto the platform above you. Up here you'll see a screw on the wire. To get to
the other end of the wire, keep jumping on it so you won't fall off. You'll
need to do this in the later levels. At the end of the wire, head right and you
will see a platform above you. Get to it. Up here, head right and you will get
to the pipe. Before entering it, there is a "?" block to the right. Hit it only
if you are Big or Little Mario, and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop up. You'll really
need a Fire Flower, and now enter the pipe.

*********************
Boss: Wendy 'O Koopa
Difficulty: 4/5
*********************

This is the worst boss out of all of them. Even worse than Bowser. Wendy does
not use her wand in this fight, but she uses something else. When the fight
starts, Wendy will toss out a ring flying around the room that will hurt you if
it hits you. As the fight goes on, she will also throw out two more rings in
the air. If you have a Fire Flower, keep firing at her until she is knocked
out, and then she will surrender her wand. Otherwise, you'll have to stomp on
here head. After the first hit, she will toss out the second ring and then jump
high into the air, so try to run under her. When she is away from the rings,
hit her on the head before she causes more trouble. After two hits, there will
be 3 rings in the air, and try to hit her even if you do need to take a hit.

Collect the wand and transform the king back. Wow, he really looks like Mario's
grandfather. The king has really let it go this time. As usual, he will give
you the letter from Peach.

"Greetings,

You can stomp on your enemies using Goomba's shoe.

I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.

Princess Toadstool"

That item she gives you this time is that no good music block. Just use it
first thing in World 4. What she means in Goomba's shoe doesn't matter right
now, just wait until world 5. Also, if you did all of the levels, you will get
your World 3 perfect clear.

<><><><><><><><><><><>
World 4: Giant Land
<><><><><><><><><><><>

Ah, giant land. Nice music, sweet levels. On the world map, enter the pipe to
your right. In here, enter the pipe to your right. You will be on the other
side of the map. If you still have a hammer with you, smash the boulder to your
left for a Toad House. In that Toad House is an awesome Tanooki Suit. Great way
to start this world. Now head north to the first level.

----------
World 4-1
----------

World 4 opens up in a nice, giant way. Start this level by jumping over the two
giant pipes you see. Now, squish the giant Goomba you will see to the right of
the pipes. Now you will see a Red Koopa to the right. Stun it and pick its
shell up. Now kick the shell at the brick to your right. You will now be able
to get the "?" block, so hit it for a Mushroom/Leaf. Aw, I was really expecting
a giant mushroom out of that giant block. Anyway, head right, jump over the
Koopa and swim past the waterfall. From here, head right and you will see a
giant "?" block on top of a normal brick. Get on the brick and hit the block. A
Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. Now, get through the giant bricks to
your right and head right until you get to a giant pipe.

Get on the pipe and hop onto the giant clouds to the right. On here, head right
and hop from platform to platform until you get to another giant pipe. On here,
jump onto the next pipe when the Piranha Plant goes back into the pipe. From
here, drop down to the ground to your right. Down here, avoid the Koopa and
enter the pipe. Out here, everything will be returned to normal size. Head
right to the exit and hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head north to the next level.

----------
World 4-2
----------

You can get a Blue Mushroom house on the map if you collect 24 coins. Even
though the platforms here rise and sink, there are no Big Berthas. And if there
was a giant one in this world, you'll be having nightmares about him. Start
this level by heading right and hopping from pipe to pipe until you get to a
pipe with ice blocks on it. On here, pick up an ice block and toss it at the
"?" block to your right. A Mushroom/Leaf will come out of it, so pick it up.
Now head right to the edge of the platform and you will see a pipe to your
right. Jump on it. On here, get onto the platform to your right. On here, you
will see a P-Switch. Do not hit it yet.

Instead, head onto the next platform and collect all of the coins. Make sure
you do not break any bricks. Once you have all the coins, go back and hit the
P-Switch. All of the remaining bricks will be turned to coins, so get all the
coins until they turn back to bricks, and that should be enough for the Blue
Mushroom. Once that is done, head right and you will see a pipe sticking out,
so enter it. Out here, run right to the exit and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Get your item in the Mushroom House to the south, and then head to the next
level to the west.

----------
World 4-3
----------

Come here at least invincible, Big, or in Fire Flower form. Head right and try
your best to get past the giant Hammer Bros. Now, head right and you will get
to another one. Use the cloud above you to jump over him, and head into the
pipe. Most of this level is pretty much underground. Down here, head right
until you get to a gap, dodging all of the Buzzy Beetles in your way. Once you
get to a gap, jump onto the platform in the gap. On here, get rid of the Buzzy
Beetles and then hit the 4 "?" blocks for coins. Now, get on the platform to
your right. On here, watch out for the Buzzy Beetle falling from the ceiling
and then head right to the edge of this platform. Over here, jump onto the
small platform in the gap. On here, hit the lone "?" block for a Mushroom/Leaf,
and then jump to the platform to your right.

On here, head right and you will get to a gap. Use the Koopa to get over it or
you can simply jump over it. On this sloped platform, head right to the other
side of this slope. Over here, jump over the gap to your right. On this
platform, head right until you see 3 bricks above you, dodging all of the
Spinies and Buzzy Beetles. Once you see the 3 bricks, hit the one on the left
and a 1-up Mushroom will pop up. Quickly head right to get it before it slides
into the gap. Once you grab it, head right and jump over the gaps. Now head
right and hop from platform to platform until you see a pipe on the ceiling.
Once you see the pipe, enter it. Out here, head right to the exit and then hit
the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Fight any Hammer Bros. in your way, and then head left to the fortress.

--------------------
World 4 Fortress #1
--------------------

Another fun fortress. Start this level by heading up the stairs in front of
you. At the top, head right to the other edge of this platform, watching out
for the two Hot Feet coming from the candles. At the edge of this platform,
fall to the ground below you, watching out for the Thwomp as you fall. At the
bottom, head right and you will get to another Thwomp. Wait for it to pass by
and then get to the platform above you. Up here, get past the four gray pipes,
watching out for the Hot Feet. From here, head right and you will see a higher
ground with a Thwomp above you. Wait for the Thwomp to clear out of your way
and then get to the platform above you.

Up here, RUN right and duck to get under the opening since it is too small. Now
drop down to the floor below you. Down here, watch out for the two Hot Feet and
then get past the Thwomp. From here, head right and you will get to a higher
platform, so then jump up to it. At the top, hit the "?" block and a
Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. Now head right, wait for the Thwomp
to pass by, and then jump over the gray pipe. From here, drop down to the floor
below you. Down here, run all the way right and you will have another showdown
with Boom-Boom.

****************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 2/5
****************

Ok, there is only one problem with this Boom-Boom. There are three blocks in
the dead middle of the room, which he can jump on and it may block you from
hitting him. If you are fire Mario, drill him to death with your fireballs
until he is gone. Otherwise, hit him on the head, and then he will be stunned.
When he jumps up in the air, he will not grow wings this time. Try to hit him
on the head right after he jumps, otherwise you'll have to chase him around the
room. After two hits, he will run around the place like crazy and jump a lot.
Hit him on the head when you have the chance, and then pick up his orb.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game, fight any Hammer Bros. in your way, and then head southeast to
play the 1-up game. Now, head southwest to a pointless level.

----------
World 4-4
----------

This level is pretty pointless. This is the only "giant" water level. Start
this level by jumping into the water below you, watching out for the Lakitu.
Head right and you will get to a "?" block, and then hit it. A Mushroom/Fire
Flower will pop out, so pick it up. Now jump over the pillar to your right.
From here, sink down to the water below until you see an opening to your right,
watching out for the gap. Once you see the opening, go through it. In here,
Lakitu will still be tossing Spinies, so the best way to avoid them is to stay
low while swimming. From here, swim all the way right until you stop at a wall,
dodging all of the Spinies, swimming over the gaps, seaweeds, and pipes.

Once you get to a pipe, enter it. Out here, head right to the exit and then hit
the tile.

WORLD MAP: Head south to the Mushroom House and get your item. Now head west
and fight any giant Hammer Bros. still on the map. From here, you will have the
option for level 5 or 6. Take level 5 as we go in order.

----------
World 4-5
----------

You can get a free Tanooki Suit in this level. Start the level by jumping over
the gap to the right. From here, get to the top of the pyramid made of giant
blocks. At the top, get to the bottom of the pyramid to the right. From here,
stun one of the Koopas and kick it at the brick blocking the "?" block. Now,
hit the "?" block and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. From here,
jump over the green pipe to the right. From here, head right and jump over the
first two cannons you see. Now you will get to three "?" blocks. The middle one
has a Mushroom/Fire Flower, so hit it and it will pop out, so pick it up. Now
head right, jumping over all of the cannons until you get to a large gap. Use
the platforms in the gap to get over it.

Once you do that, head right and you will see a brick above a cannon. Hit it
and a vine will pop out. To get to that vine, wait for a cannon to shoot out a
Bullet Bill and when one pops out, jump on it while holding A to get an extra
boost in the air to get to the vine. Now climb the vine. At the top, enter the
pipe above you. In here, hit the giant "?" block and a Tanooki Suit will come
out. Yay! Grab it while it jumps around the room and then leave this room. Back
out here, drop down to the ground below you, carefully watching out for all of
the Bullet Bills. Once you hit the ground, go all the way right until you get
to a pipe, dodging all of the Bullet Bills you see and jumping over the cannons
and pipes. Once you get to a pipe, enter it.

Out here, head right to the exit and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head left and play the 1-up game, and then start Level 6 to the north, even
though you can get to the fortress anyway.

----------
World 4-6
----------

In this level, there are a few doors that you can enter if you want to switch
the area to either normal size or giant size. I prefer the giant size as it is
more fun. If you don't know, you'll get what I mean with the doors. Start the
level by heading right until you get to a gap, dodging the Koopas in your way.
Once you get to a gap, collect the 4 coins and jump over it. From here, jump
over the pipe. Over here, you will see a door below you. Enter it if you want
the enemies changed to their normal size, just like in Tiny-Huge Island from
Mario 64. Either way, head right and jump over the next pipe you see. From
here, head right until you get to a higher platform of bricks, and then get on
them.

On here, drop down to the ground below you. Down here, head right and you will
get to a pipe. Get on top of it and then drop into the pit to your right. Down
here, get rid of the Koopa and jump around the pipe on the right until you find
3 hidden blocks. One of them has a 1-up Mushroom, so pick it up and then get on
the pipe to your right. On here, head right and you will see a door to change
from big/small and vice versa. Do that if you want to and then head right until
you get to another pipe. From here, get on the platform of bricks to your
right. On here, get rid of the two Koopas and then head onto the next platform
made of bricks. On here, get on the ground to your right and run right until
you get to the exit, dodging the Parakoopa. Hit the exit tile.

WORLD MAP:
Get your free Tanooki Suit from the Mushroom House to the left, and then head
southeast towards the fortress.

--------------------
World 4 Fortress #2
--------------------

One of my favorite fortresses in the game. Start the level by heading up the
stairs in front of you. At the top, head right and drop down to the donut
platforms below you. Now this is the part where you really need to be quick.
From here, head right and RUN FROM DONUT PLATFORM TO DONUT PLATFORM UNTIL YOU
GET TO AN OPENING. Donut platforms will fall into the lava if you stand on them
for a few seconds. Once you get to the opening, go through it. In here, head
all the way right until you stop at a wall, knocking out all the Dry Bones in
your way. Once you stop at a wall, hit the brick above you and a P-Switch will
come out. Hit the P-Switch and you will notice blue coins appearing to the
left. If you notice, they are forming a border of a door. Get in between the
blue coins and then press Up and you will be taken to a secret room.

In here, get on the platform with an Up Arrow on it. It will take you upward,
so when you see a platform to your right, get on it. On here, get on the "?"
platform to the right. These platforms will change directions in which way they
go when you jump on them, and you'll be using a lot of these in World 7. Now,
once you are over the pipe, jump on the platform to make it go left. You will
see a platform leading upward, so get on it. Up here, get on the long pipe
sticking out and you will notice two pipes above you. Enter the one on the left
and it will take you to two more pipes. Enter the one on the ceiling above you
and this will take you to a higher part of this room. From here, you will see a
"!" platform to your right.

Get on it and then jump on it to make it turn left. When you are directly under
the pipe opening, jump to make it go up again and then go through the opening
in between the two pipes, dodging the Piranha Plants. Now, jump to make it go
right and jump again to make it go up so you can get through the opening. Up
here, enter the pipe. In here, enter the pipe to your right. In this room, hit
the giant "?" block and three 1-up Mushrooms will come out, so grab all of
them! Now enter the pipe to the right. Back in the castle, head right until you
get to Boom-Boom's area, watching out for the Dry Bones.

****************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 2/5
****************

Well, this fight may be a little tricky because of all the blocks scattered
around the room. If you can use them right, they can be used as protection
while fighting Boom-Boom. Once the fight starts, try to run up to him and deck
him on the head. After that, try to stay next to him while he is stunned, and
then try to hit him when he jumps into the air. Otherwise, you'll need to hit
him when he is jumping and running around the room, and the blocks could get to
your way as well. After two hits, he will run and jump like crazy, so hit him
as early as you can. Collect his orb.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game and a bridge will be created. Use this bridge to get to the
castle to the west.

----------------
World 4 Airship
----------------

Well, it looks like the king of Giant World has been transformed into Donkey
Kong. He's nothing, so let's ditch this place! It seems Donkey Kong is still
desperate for appearances on these popular Mario games. But no, we still need
to go get the want. Start the airship by heading right. You will see a weird
cannon that shoots out a line of fire and then the fire goes back in. Just get
on top of these cannons and you should be fine. From here, collect the coins to
your right and then jump over the second cannon you see. After that, drop into
the pit below you. Down here, get the 8 coins to your right and then head
right.

Over here are three vertical cannons shooting out fire. When they stop shooting
fire, quickly jump over all of them. From here, head right and you will get to
another set of 3 cannons. If you still have your Tanooki Suit, now would be a
good time to turn into a statue and avoid the fire. Otherwise, you'll have to
carefully get by them when they are not shooting fire. From here, head right
and get onto the platform above you. On here, head right and get back down to
the platform below you. Down here, head right and avoid all of the cannons
shooting fire at you. Some hang from the ceiling, so carefully get past those.
Once you get past all the cannons, head right and you will get to another set.

Carefully get past these and head up the small set of stairs. Before you get to
the top, jump through the cannons when both of them are not spitting fire. At
the top, head right and you will get to a silver pipe. To the right of the pipe
is a "?" block. Hit it for a Mushroom/Leaf, grab it, and then enter the pipe.

******************
Boss: Iggy Koopa
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************

Iggy Koopa may look easy, but he is pretty tricky as well. A difference from
the first two Koopa Kids is that Iggy is pretty fast. Another thing is that he
will not fire the wand the second you enter the room. He will run and jump
around the room so try to finish him off quickly. Hit him on the head for the
first hit before he starts causing trouble. After the first hit, he will jump
high in the air and land down, and then fire the wand. After that, hit him on
the head when he is on the ground instead of in the air. After 2 hits, he will
run and jump crazy around the room, as well as firing the wand more often. Hit
him at the right time and then collect the wand.

It looks like the king has been transformed back into a Pharaoh. Then shouldn't
he be the king of World 2? Strange. All he does is thank you and give you
Peach's letter.

"Greetings,

The thief who stole the whistle has escaped to the east side of the sand dunes.

I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.

Princess Toadstool"

She will give you a sweet P-Wing. What she is talking about is the Fire Bros.
in World 2 with the whistle. Too late for that, unless you already got the
whistle. Get over it and move on with the game. You will get your World 4
perfect clear if you did all the levels. Now save your game.

<><><><><><><><><>
World 5: The Sky
<><><><><><><><><>

Not really a sky. The first half of the world is on the ground, and you head up
to the sky on the second half. Hope you aren't afraid of heights and you have
good jumping skills. Head north to the first level in this world.

----------
World 5-1
----------

Life here in the Sky World begins tough doesn't it. Start the level by heading
right and jumping over the Spike enemy. From here, head right and jump over the
first Chain Chomp to get onto the platform above you. Up here, head right and
jump over the next Chain Chomp, getting onto the higher platform. On here, head
right and you will get to a pit, so jump over it. From here, keep heading up
these stairs until you get to the top, watching out for all the Nip-Nip plants.
At the top, head right and you will get to 6 "?" blocks. Hit the 3rd one to the
right and an Invincibility Star will pop out. Pick it up and head right,
running past the Chain Chomp.

After that, head right and fall down to the ground below you. Down here, run
all the way right to the exit, knocking out all of the Nip-Nip plants in your
way. Once you get to the exit, hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head northeast to map 2.

----------
World 5-2
----------

Once you start the level, head up the slope to your right. At the top, head
down the pipe next to you. Once you head down a pipe, you will fall into a big
room. You will land on a music block if you don't move, but just move over
until you dive into water, watching out for the Koopa that may fall with you.
Once you hit the bottom of the water, you will see three pipes. Enter the one
to the middle. Now you will fall down a waterfall and land into more water.
From here, get onto the platform to your right. On here, head right and dodge
the blue block the Spike enemy will throw at you.

Once you get past that, continue right until you get to a steep slope, heading
under the pipes you will see. Once you get to a slope, head to the bottom of
it. Down here, jump over the blue block and make sure the Spike enemy won't
throw it at you. From here, head right until you get to a group of ice blocks,
dodging all of the pipes, Piranha Plants, and Spike enemies you see. Once you
get to the group, toss one ice block at the Spike to your right to get rid of
it. On the platform above you is a Spike enemy on top of a brick. Hit him from
under the brick to get rid of him. From here, head all the way right until you
stop at a wall, heading under the pipes and dodging the Piranha Plants.

Once you stop at a wall, there will be a pipe above you. Enter it. Out here,
head right and you will get to the exit. Hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Get the free Tanooki Suit from the Mushroom House to your right. Enter the
pipe. In here, enter the other pipe and you will appear on the other half of
the world map. Over here, head northeast to the to the 3rd level. Fight any
Hammer Bros. that will pop up in your way.

----------
World 5-3
----------

One of my favorite levels in the whole game. You can also get a Kuribo's Shoe
here. Start this level by entering the pipe to your right. Down here, head left
and you will get to a pipe. Jump over it. Over here, jump over the pipe to your
left. You will see a platform of bricks. Head left and you will see a Goomba in
a Kuribo's shoe. Have him hop on the platform of bricks and then deck him from
below. Now you can get into his shoe! From here, head all the way left until
you get to a pip of Nip-Nips, dodging all of the Piranha Plants and jumping
over the pipes you see.

Once you get to the pit of Nip-Nips, jump over it if you are not in a Kuribo's
Shoe. If you are in a Kuribo's Shoe, jump into the pit and there will be 5
bricks over you. Hit the 2nd one to the left and a 1-up Mushroom will pop out,
so grab it. From here, head all the way left until you stop at a pipe, dodging
all of the Piranha Plants and jumping over all of the other pipes. Once you get
to a pipe, enter it. Down here, you will see another Goomba with the Kuribo's
Shoe. Get rid of the ice blocks and deck him from below to get it. From here,
head all the way right until you get to 3 "?" blocks.

The middle one has a Mushroom/Fire Flower, so pick it up. Now, on the pipe to
your right is a Piranha Plant shooting fire at you. Wait until it goes back
into the pipe and then jump over it. From here, head all the way right until
you stop at a pipe, dodging all of the Nip-Nip plants, Piranha Plants, and
Spinies you see. Once you get to a pipe, enter it. Out here, head right to the
exit and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Fight any Hammer Bros. in your way and then play the 1-up game to your south.
Now enter the fortress on the west part.

--------------------
World 5 Fortress #1
--------------------

This castle may be tricky and annoying if you don't know what you are doing.
Start this level by heading down the stairs and jumping over the lava pit to
your right, watching out for the spinning fire. From here, head right until you
get to a staircase, dodging the Thwomps and Roto-Discs in your way. Once you
get to the stairs, head up them. At the top, head right and you will get to a
Thwomp in between two bricks. Hit the one on the left and a Mushroom/Leaf will
pop out so pick it up. From here, head down the stairs to your right. Down
here, head right and you will get to a Thwomp. When that and the Roto-Disc is
out of the way, run past them.

From here, head right and you will get to a Boo, Thwomp, and another Roto-Disc.
Get the Boo out of your way and wait for the Thwomp to rise up from the ground,
and then jump past it. From here, you will see a lava pit to your right. Jump
over it and you will get to another pit and a platform. A Thwomp is hanging
from this platform. Wait for him to fall and rise, jump over the platform and
head up the stairs to your right. At the top, open the door to your right. In
here, head right and you will get to Boom-Boom.

****************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 2/5
****************

This is the same old Boom-Boom you fought before, so don't worry. The room you
are in doesn't have any blocks or platforms so you should be fine. Start the
fight by hitting Boom-Boom on the head. Now, when he jumps up in the air he
will not grow a pair of wings. Hit him on the head after he is stunned before
he runs and jumps around the room. After two hits, he will run around the room
like crazy, making him hard to hit. Try as best as you can to get that third
hit in. He will explode, so get his orb.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game and then a bridge will be created to your left. Head right to
get to the Sky Tower and enter it. You will need to do this to get to the sky.

----------
Sky Tower
----------

The purpose of the Sky Tower is to get to the second half of this world. There
are pretty much no obstacles here but I will guide you anyway. Start this level
by heading all the way right until you get to the end of this room, dodging all
of the Roto-Discs you see. Once you get to the end of the room, head up the
pipe above you. Up here, head all the way left until you get to the end of the
room, dodging the two Thwomps you see. Once you get to the end of the room,
enter the pipe above you, and now you will be outside. Out here, jump across
the towers made of bricks and you will get to a pipe, so enter it.

Back in here, head right and you will get to a pipe at the other end of the
room, jumping over the spike pits, dodging the Thwomps and Roto-Discs. Once you
get to the pipe, enter it. Up here, head up the stairs and enter the pipe above
your head. Out here, jump over the gap to your right and you will get onto a
cloud with 3 "?" blocks and a brick. Hit the brick and a vine will pop out, so
climb it to the top. Up here, get on the cloud above you and then enter the
pipe above you.

WORLD MAP:
You will now be high in the sky. Save your game and then head southeast to the
4th level.

----------
World 5-4
----------

This is a pretty fun level if you can jump carefully. Start this level by
hitting the "?" block to your right for a Mushroom/Leaf, and then pick it up.
From here, hop onto the cloud to your right. On here, get onto the next cloud
to your right, watching out for the red spinning platform. From here, you will
see a red platform to your right that is not spinning. Jump onto it and then
quickly get off of it and get onto the red platform to your right when IT IS
NOT SPINNING. After that, hop onto the red platform to your right, and then use
it to get onto the cloud to the right. On here, jump over the red spinning
platform to get onto the platform to your right.

On here, jump over the waterfall and then get onto the higher platform above
you. On here, jump over the fast waterfall to your right. If you fall into
either 2 of these waterfalls, you'll need to tap A pretty fast to get past
them. From here, get onto the next red platform to your right. On here, get
onto the red platform to your right when it is not spinning. Now get onto the
next two red platforms and use them to get onto the cloud to your right. On
here, enter the pipe to your right.

Now, this is the big concern of these sky levels in World 5. At the end of each
sky level, there will be a Lakitu waiting for you in many of the levels. Run to
the exit right now to get to the tile, dodging the Spinies. Once you get to the
tile, hit it.

WORLD MAP:
Head northeast to the 5th level.

----------
World 5-5
----------

You should enter this level in at least Big or Raccoon Mario. This whole level
is made up of donut platforms that fall after you stand on them for a few
seconds. Thankfully there is a shortcut, and you can also use it to get the
Blue Mushroom in this level.

Start this map by heading right until you get on top of a pipe, dodging the
Goomba in the air and the Koopas in your way. Once you get on top of the pipe,
continue right until you get to 4 "?" blocks. Hit the first one for a
Mushroom/Leaf and then pick it up. Now hit the other 3 for 3 coins. From here,
head right and you will get to a row of coins. Collect all of them. Now see the
coins below you? Stand on a donut platform and so it will fall, allowing you to
get the coins. Once you do that, quickly jump onto a higher platform until you
have all the coins below the donut platforms.

Once you have that, head left back to the pipes that are blocked by two bricks.
If you are Raccoon Mario, whack your tail at the bricks to get rid of them on
the right pipe. Otherwise, take a Koopa Shell, and then kick it at the bricks
to get rid of them. Now enter the pipe. In here, don't move and you will
collect all of the coins while you are falling. Once you hit the ground, hit
the big "?" block for a Tanooki Suit, and then get it. Now enter the pipe to
get out of here. Back out here, run right until you get to the exit, watching
out for the Piranha Plants shooting fire at you. Once you get to the exit, hit
the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head north to the Mushroom House and grab your random item. Head south, play
the 1-up game, and then head south to the 6th level.

----------
World 5-6
----------

Another fun level in this world. Start this level by heading right and jumping
over the gap. Now head right and you will see Para Beetles flying across the
sky. You will need to use these red beetles to get to a music block, so get on
one of them and hop from beetle to beetle until you get to a music block. Once
you get to the music block, hop on it to get onto the platform above you. Up
here, head right and you will get to a bridge of bricks, collecting all of the
coins that you see. Once you get to a bridge of bricks, get below them and hit
the 2nd brick to the right.

A P-Switch will pop out of the brick, so hit it and it will turn the bricks
into coins to your right and vice versa. Even though you don't need to hit the
P-Switch, it makes it easier to get across these platforms. Cross these small
platforms until you get to a long platform, watching out for the Fire Chomp.
Once you get to the long platform, get on it. On here, enter the pipe to your
right. In here, head right and you will get to the exit, and watch out for the
Lakitu above you. Once you get to the exit, hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Enter the Mushroom House to your left and get the random item. Now, head north
to the 7th level.

----------
World 5-7
----------

This level is also pretty fun. Start this level by heading right until you get
to a set of pillars made of bricks. Jump over them and you will get to 3 "?"
blocks. All of them have coins so they don't really matter. Now you will see a
brown block to your right. Bump into it and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will pop out
so pick it up. Now, hit the next 3 "?" blocks for coins, watching out for the
bricks that are trying to jump from the ground to get you. From here, get onto
the platform to your right. On here, run right across the gap and you will see
another platform below you, so jump down it. Down here, Lakitu will appear and
start throwing Spinies at you.

Run like hell until you get to a pipe, dodging Lakitu, the Spinies, the
cannons, Bullet Bills, and the jumping bricks that get in your way. Once you
get to a pipe, enter it. In here, Lakitu will continue to stalk you, tossing
Spinies at you. Before they cause any trouble, head right to the exit and then
hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head left to the fortress and get rid of the Hammer Bros. if he is in your way.

--------------------
World 5 Fortress #2
--------------------

This fortress can be really tricky if you are not careful. Start this fortress
by jumping onto the pipe to your right, making sure you don't fall into the
lava below you. Now head down the pipe. In this room, head right and jump from
platform to platform until you get to a platform with 6 "?" blocks on it,
dodging the fireballs shooting out from the lava. Once you get to the platform,
hit the block on the right and an Invincibility Star will come out, so pick it
up before it hops into the lava. Now run right and head from platform to
platform until you get to another platform with 2 "?" blocks on them. Once you
get to hit, hit one block for a coin and the other for a Mushroom/Leaf, and
then pick it up. Also watch out for the fireballs and Boos in your way.

From here, get onto the platform to your right. On here, get to the other side
of this bridge, watching out for the shooting fireballs. Once you get to a
pipe, enter it. In here, head right to fight Boom-Boom.

******************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 2.5/5
******************

Another standard fight with Boom-Boom starts right now. The room you are
fighting him in is empty, so there is nothing that should get in your way.
Start the fight by heading to him and stomping on his head. After his first
hit, he will grow a pair of wings and fly around the room so try to hit him
when he jumps into the air after he is stunned, otherwise he will be annoying
in the air. After two hits, he will run around the room like crazy and jump
around a lot as well. Once you get the third hit in, collect the orb and the
castle will explode.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game and then head west to play the 1-up game. Now go southeast to
the 8th level of this world.

----------
World 5-8
----------

This is one of the worst levels ever created. Pretty much most of this level is
having you being annoyed by Lakitu. Enter this level using an Invincibility
Star if you have one. Start this level by jumping onto the cloud to your right.
On here are 4 "?" blocks above you. The second one to the right has a
Mushroom/Leaf, so hit the block and get the power-up. Now head right and hop
from cloud to cloud until you get to Lakitu. Wait until he throws a Spiny and
then start running right, hopping from cloud to cloud you see. When you are on
a high cloud, try to take a hit and then stomp Lakitu.

From here, keep running from cloud to cloud until you get to a "?" block. If
Lakitu is not on your screen, hit it and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so get
it. If Lakitu is on your screen, ignore the block and keep running like hell
until you get to a pipe. Once you get to a pipe, enter it. Out here, Lakitu
continues you follow you. Just ignore him, run right, and then hit the exit.

WORLD MAP:
Head left to the 9th level. Like we will get any relief out of this level.

----------
World 5-9
----------

Great, another level that may annoy you to death. This level is an auto-
scroller that will annoy you with all of the Fire Chomps chasing you. Start
this level by getting onto the cloud to your right. On here, you will see
platforms moving up and down, left and right to your right. This is how you
cross the level. Get on one of the platforms moving up and down and use them
until you get to a cloud. Also watch out for all the Fire Chomps flying around
and shooting fire at you. If they come near you, stomp on their head or shoot
them with a fireball if you are Fire Mario.

Once you see a cloud platform, get on it. On here, enter the pipe above you.
Out here, run right to the exit, dodging the Lakitu above you. Now, get to the
tile and hit it. This is the last level where Lakitu will be waiting for you,
as this is the last level for the Sky World. But you must face Roy Koopa to
test your real self.

WORLD MAP:
Well, that is finally it for all of the World 5 levels. Head left to the castle
and then to the airship.

----------------
World 5 Airship
----------------

This time, it looks like the king has been turned into an Albatoss from Super
Mario Bros 2. You know, those red birds that would fly around. Whatever, birds
fly in the sky world, so a bird would be a great king here. Ok, let's head to
the airship. Start this level by head right until you get to a "?" block,
watching out for the cannon shooting at you and the cannon spitting out fire.
Once you get to the "?" block, hit it and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will come out,
so pick it up. From here, head right and you will get to a cannon shooting out
Bullet Bills. Head right and you will get to another set of cannons on the gray
walls.

You can jump on top of these cannons, so jump over them to easily get past them
without being hit by a cannonball. From here, head right and you will get to
another set of cannons firing at you. Try your best to jump over them and dodge
all of the cannons as best as you can. From here, head right and you will see 4
cannons above you and 4 cannons below you. The cannons below won't hurt if you
walk right on top of them. You can dodge the cannons above you easily by
walking on the ground and just stopping in front of the cannonballs when they
get in front of you. When you get past the cannons, head right and you will get
to the silver pipe. Once you get to it, enter it.

**********************
Boss Fight: Roy Koopa
Difficulty: 4/5
**********************

I like Roy, but he is a total pain in the ass. He will start the fight by
shooting his wand at you. Once the fight starts, jump over the magic blast and
hit the pink Koopa with the sunglasses in the head. Now here is the hard part
about Roy. After you hit him or whenever he jumps, he will pound the ground
when he hits it. This will stun you if you are on the ground, so jump before he
hits the ground. If you are stunned, he will quickly try to go over to you and
hit you. Dodge his magic blasts, his ground pounding and then try to hit him a
second time. After two hits he will jump around, be faster, and fire his wand
more often. Try to finish him off when he is on the ground before he jumps. Now
collect the wand.

The king has been turned back into Santa Claus with his beard of such. Looks
like we will have Christmas this year. His present is another worthless piece
of paper letter from Peach.

"Greetings,

Before careful in the ice world. The creatures trapped in the ice will come to
life if warmed.

I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.

Princess Toadstool"

Finally a good warning from Peach. If you hit an ice cube one block wide and
something is trapped in it with a fireball, the ice will melt, allowing the
enemy inside to trap you or allowing you to get the coin trapped in the ice.
Your item from Peach will be the Lakitu Cloud if you need it. Now, if you did
all of the levels, you will get a World 5 Perfect Clear. Save your game and now
it is on to the ice world.

<><><><><><><><><><>
World 6: Ice World
<><><><><><><><><><>

After our adventure from the sky, we head back down to the ground to the frozen
ground. The ice is pretty slippery so you may bump into an enemy or something
else if you are unlucky. But it can be fun heading from the slippery platforms,
especially if you are in the fortresses. Enter Ice World, a Tanooki Suit will
keep him nice and cozy from the cold air. Start the world by heading right to
the first level.

----------
World 6-1
----------

This is a pretty fun level to start off the Ice World. Try to enter this level
being in Fire Flower form. Start this level by getting on the ice platform to
your right. On the top, hit the "?" block to your right and a Mushroom/Fire
Flower will pop out, so pick it up. In this level are many Piranha Plants
tossing spikes in the air and catching them. They are on both pipes and the
ground. This is why your Fire Flower is useful here. Anyway, jump over the blue
pipe to the right.

Down here, head right and you will get to another pipe. Watch out for the
Piranha Plant tossing the spike on the ground. Once you get to another pipe,
jump over it. From here, hit the "?" block to your right for a coin and then
head right to another pipe. Jump over it. On this side, head right and you will
get to another pipe. Jump over it and you will see an ice platform above you,
so get on it. On here, hit the "?" block above you for a Mushroom/Leaf. If you
want the Leaf over the Fire Flower, get it, otherwise leave it alone because
the Fire Flower is useful in this level. Now jump back down to the ground below
you.

Down here, head right until you get to a pipe, dodging the spike spitting
Piranha Plants in your way. Once you get to a pipe, jump over it. From here,
head right until you get to the exit. Now hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head east and play the 1-up game. Now head northeast to the 2nd level.

----------
World 6-2
----------

If you are not so good at jumping, try to enter this level being Raccoon or
Tanooki Mario. This level is also an auto-scroller as well. Start this level by
getting onto the platform to your right. On here, you will see clouds moving to
your right. Get on them and hop from cloud to cloud until you get to an ice
platform. Once you see it, get on it. On here, collect the coins and then jump
onto the ice platform below you to your right. Down here, pick up the ice block
and then toss it at the "?" block. A Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so grab it.

From here, get onto the platform to your right. On here, the pillar of bricks
next to you is too tall for you to jump over, so use one of the moving clouds
to jump over it. From here, head right and you will see platforms made of ice.
Jump over them and use them to get onto the wooden platforms. On here, continue
to jump from platform to platform until you get to a huge pillar made of wooden
blocks. Use the moving clouds to hop over them. Once you do that, get on the
ice platform to your right. On here, hop onto the wooden platform to your
right. On here, get rid of the two ice blocks so you can hit the wooden block
for multiple coins.

After you do that, head right and drop down to the ice platform below you. Down
here, head right onto the wooden platform. On here, head right and hop from
cloud to cloud until you get to a pipe. Once you get to a pipe, enter it. In
this area, head right until you get to the exit. Once you get to the exit, hit
the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Get your free Hammer Suit from the Mushroom House to the north, and then head
south to the third level, watching out for the Hammer Bros.

----------
World 6-3
----------

It would be a good idea that you didn't use your new Hammer Suit yet because
you can get a free Tanooki Suit in this level. Start this level by getting onto
the music blocks to your right. On here, use them to get onto the moving
platform to the right. On here, duck if you are Big Mario so you can get past
the ice pillar that is too low for Big Mario or better. Now get onto the ice
platform above you. On here, stun the Red Koopa and then pick up his shell. Now
carry it to the next platform and toss it at the "?" block. It will reveal a
Mushroom/Leaf, so pick it up. From here, you will notice gaps that are one
block wide in between the ice pillars.

These are wide enough for you to run across, so run through them. At the end,
jump over the ice pillar to your right. On here, you will see bricks to your
right. The one on the left has a vine. It is pretty tricky to hit it. You can
whack it with your tail if you are Raccoon Mario, but if not, take the Koopa
and stun him, and then jump and kick his shell at the brick and a vine will pop
out. If you miss, leave this area and come back and he should be back. Once you
hit the brick, the vine will pop out so climb it to the top. Now enter the pipe
above you. In here, hit the giant "?" block for your free Tanooki Suit! Yay!

Now leave this room. Back out here, drop down to the platforms below you. Down
here, continue right until you get to a moving platform, hopping across all of
the ice platforms in your path. Once you get to the moving platform, use it to
jump over the pillar to your right. Now jump over the next pillar and get on
the platform to your right. On here, get onto the ground to your right, using
the Flying Koopas if you need to. Now, head right until you get to the exit,
and then hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Fight the Hammer Bros. if you haven't and then cross the bridge to your north
to get to the fortress.

--------------------
World 6 Fortress #1
--------------------

This fortress can be really tough if you are bad at dodging. If so, use your
statue form from the new Tanooki Suit or use an Invincibility Star at the start
of the level. Now start this level by heading down the stairs in front of you.
Down here, you will see a platform on the wire. Get on it and ride it until you
see an opening to the right, watching out for all of the lava and roto-discs
that get in your way. Once you see an opening to your right, go through it. In
here, open the door to your right and go through it. In this room, jump over
the pillar, watching out for the roto-discs. From here, head right until you
get to an opening.

This opening has a few "?" blocks and two roto-discs. Hit the first block and
an Invincibility Star will come out of it, so pick it up. From here, you will
see an opening to your right. It is too small for Big Mario to get through, so
run and duck while running to get under it. From here, jump over the spike pit
to your right. On here, head right and you will get to a door, so open it and
go through it. In here, head right and you will get to Booom-Boom.

****************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 3/5
****************

Ok, those two blocks in the center of the room may become annoying during the
fight. Start this fight by walking up to Boom-Boom and then hitting him on the
head. After the first hit, he will grow a pair of wings and start flying around
the room. To get out of the trouble, hit him when he jumps into the air after
he is stunned. After two hits, he will lose the wings and start running around
like crazy on the ground, jumping over the blocks that might get in your way.
After three hits, he will explode, so collect his orb.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game and head east to the new path. Play the 1-up game and then head
southeast to the next level.

----------
World 6-4
----------

This level is pretty straightforward. Start this level by jumping over the gap
and getting onto the platform to your right. On here, you will see a red
spinning platform to your right. Get on it when it's not spinning and use it to
get onto the giant ice block. On here, head right, jumping over the gaps until
you see a brick below you. Once you see the brick, get on the platform below it
and hit the brick. A 1-up Mushroom will come out, so pick it up before it falls
in the gap. Now get on the higher platform to the right. On here, head right
and you will see a wooden platform on a wire. Now get on it and it will start
moving, so ride it until you see a moving platform.

You will also see a "?" block. Hit it and a Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick
it up. To your right below you should be a moving platform, so get on it. On
here, get onto the platform to your right. On here, you will see two platforms
moving in a parallelogram shape. Get on them and use them to get onto the
pillar made of giant ice blocks. On here, you will see a P-Switch to your
right. Hit it and the bricks below you will turn to coins, so you will fall and
collect all of them. Now get on the platform to your right. On here, run all
the way right until you get to the edge of the platform, jumping over all of
the spinning platforms and collecting all of the coins. Once you get to the
edge of this platform, jump over the gap. Now head right to the exit and hit
the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head east and fight any Hammer Bros. in your path. Now get the free Hammer Suit
in the Mushroom House to your east. To your southeast is the 5th level. Try to
enter the level being Raccoon Mario or Tanooki because you'll need it.

----------
World 6-5
----------

This is a really annoying level. You should enter this level being Raccoon or
Tanooki Mario. Start this level by jumping over the ice and entering the pipe
to your right. In here, head right until you get to a "?" block, dodging all of
the Buster Beetle enemies throwing ice blocks at you. Once you get to a "?"
block, hit it and a Mushroom/Leaf will come out, so get it. You need to be
Raccoon Mario. If you get hit, you can go to the other end of the room, enter
the pipe, and hit the lone "?" block for a power-up. It will be always there.
Now, for the hardest part of the level. Head right until you get to an area
where there are bricks, a Green Koopa, and ice blocks.

Before doing anything with the Koopa, use your tail to get rid of all the
bricks and get rid of all the ice blocks. Make sure the Koopa doesn't get off
your screen and make sure the Buster Beetle enemies don't get in your way. Now,
stun the Koopa. Run left. Run right. This will power up your running meter so
it's full. Now take the Koopa shell and fly in the air. You will see two
openings above you, but fly into the one on the left, holding onto the Koopa
Shell. At the top, get on the platform and kick the Koopa into the pit to your
right. The shell will get rid of the Nip-Nips and bricks so you can get to the
pipe. Use your tail to get rid of the remaining bricks and then enter the pipe.
Out here, head right and you will get to the exit, so hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head north to the 6th level, and be sure to knock out any Hammer Bros. on the
map.

----------
World 6-6
----------

Even though this is an alternative to the 5th level, you can come here instead.
But I'm doing all of the levels in order, so here we are. Start this level by
jumping over the ice and heading into the pipe to your right. In here, head
down the stairs to your right. Down here, jump over the little gaps of water.
At the end, get rid of the Spike enemy in front of you and then get on the
higher platform to your right. On here, head right and you will get to a pool
of water, dodging the Piranha Plant spitting fire at you. Once you get to the
water, enter it. In here, swim all the way right until you get out of the
water, dodging all of the Cheep-Cheeps and Piranha Plants you see.

As you are in the water, swim over the blocks and pillars you see as well. At
the end of the water, drop down to the ground below you. Down here, get rid of
all the Spike enemies and head all the way right until you get to a pipe,
heading up the slope. Once you get to a pipe, head up it. Out here, head right
and you will get to the exit, so hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head southeast and play the 1-up game. Now go northeast to the 7th level to the
map.

----------
World 6-7
----------

If you want to get the Blue Mushroom House from this level, come here in a Fire
Flower, otherwise don't bother. This level is an auto-scroller with donut
platforms that fall when you step on them, so you risk losing plenty of lines.
Another thing is that you will need 78 coins for the Blue Mushroom House. So
start this level by getting onto the donut platforms to the right. On here, get
on the donut platforms to the right. On here, get on the third donut platform
and let it fall so you can collect the three coins (one is off the screen, but
jump when you hear the sound of it being collected so you won't kill yourself),
and then get onto the platform to the right.

On here, hit the "?" block for a Mushroom/Leaf and then pick it up. From here,
get onto the platform above you. Up here, step on the donut platform to your
right so it will fall, allowing you to get to more of the level. Now, get onto
the 4 donut platforms to the right. On here, get in between the 3rd and 4th
donut platforms and let them fall so you can get the 6 coins below you. Now get
onto the ice platforms to your right. On here, get on the donut to your right
and let it fall so you can get the 3 coins. Now get onto the ice platform to
your right and collect the 3 coins. From here, get onto the four donut
platforms to your right. On here, stand on the 4th one and let it fall to
collect the coins. Now jump and get onto the next platform.

On here, head right and hop from donut platform to donut platform until you get
to a "?" block, collecting all of the coins you see. Once you get to a "?"
block, hit it and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will come out, so pick it up. Now you
will see two donut platforms to your right, so get on them and they will fall.
From here, get onto the donut platforms to your right. On here, the screen will
now scroll north. Head up all the donut platforms until you get to a real
platform, collecting all of the coins you see. On here, get onto the donut
platform to your right and make it fall so you can get onto the music block to
your right. On here, enter the pipe to the right. Out here, you will see frozen
coins to your right. If you can Fire Mario, use your fireballs to unfreeze them
so you can collect all of them, otherwise ignore them. Head right to the exit
and hit the tile. If you got all the coins a Blue Mushroom House is waiting for
you.

WORLD MAP:
Head northwest to the second fortress.

--------------------
World 6 Fortress #2
--------------------

This is a really cool fortress. It is built of ice blocks. They must have some
hi-tech ice architects here! Start this level by heading right until you get to
a gap, dodging the Boo and Thwomp you see. Once you get to the gap, head down
it. Down here, head right and you will get to a "?" block. Hit it and a
Mushroom/Leaf will pop out, so pick it up. From here, get onto the platform
above you. Up here, watch out for the Thwomp and head right to a gap. Before
falling down it, make the Thwomp move so it is out of your way. Now drop down
to the gap below you. Down here, head right and you will see another Thwomp
above you.

Dodge the Thwomp and head right to a small opening. It is too small for Big
Mario, so duck and slide under it. Now, head right and jump over the gap to
your right. From here, head right and you will see another Thwomp above you.
Get past it and then slide over the small opening, ducking. From here, make the
Thwomp below you move and then jump down to the gap below you. Down here, head
right until you get to another Thwomp. Jump over it and open the door to your
right. In here, head right and you will get to Boom-Boom.

**********************
Boss fight: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 3/5
**********************

This level can be a little hard because of the blocks and platforms in your way
and then slippery floor. Start this fight by letting Boom-Boom slide off his
platform. When he hits the floor, hit him on the head. When he is stunned, he
will not grow a pair of wings this time, so try to hit him before you end up
slipping into him and he jumps all over the place. After two hits, he will run
around like crazy, so hit him quickly before he causes you anymore trouble. Now
collect this orb and the castle will explode.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game and then head northeast to the 8th level.

----------
World 6-8
----------

I have no idea why this level is in this world, but it's in this world, and it
has no ice in it. Start this level by taking one of the ice blocks next to you
and then toss it at the "?" block to your right. A Mushroom/Leaf will come out
of it, so pick it up. From here, jump over the pipe to your right. Now, stun
the Koopa next to you and then kick it at the Nip-Nips to your right. It should
hit and get rid of all of them. Now head all the way right until you see a "?"
block surrounded by ice blocks. Get rid of the ice blocks and the Buster
Beetles, and then hit the ice blocks. A Mushroom/Leaf will come out of them, so
pick it up.

From here, head right until you see ice blocks forming an H. Get rid of them
and toss one on the Nip-Nips to your right to get rid of them. From here, head
right until you get to the exit, dodging all of the Buster Beetles you see.
Once you get to the exit, hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Head east and you can get to levels 9 and 10. You can pick either one, but
let's start with 9. Before entering this level, be sure to enter with a Frog
Suit or in Fire Flower form.

----------
World 6-9
----------

This is a water level with a lot of obstacles, so try to enter the level with a
Fire Flower or wearing a Frog Suit. Start the level by entering the pipe to
your right. In here, you will be falling into the water. In here, swim all the
way right until you stop at the right wall, getting out of the water. You will
know you are at the edge of the water if you are on a slope leading into the
water. Once you get over here, there should be a pipe above you. Get onto it.
On here, there should be a pipe over you, so jump into it. Out here, run right
and you will get to the exit, so hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
Pull out your item inventory and get a Fire Flower because you'll need it. Now,
head southeast to the 10th level of the ice world.

-----------
World 6-10
-----------

This level is pretty easy and you also have the chance to get a free Hammer
Suit, so I'll guide you to it. The best way is to enter this level with a Fire
Flower. Now start this level by heading right until you get to a "?" block,
jumping over the ice blocks and dodging the Koopas you see. Once you get to a
"?" block, hit it and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will come out, so pick it up. From
here, head right and you will get to 6 ice blocks below bricks. Get rid of all
of them and get rid of the Buster Beetle as well. Now, head right and you will
see 3 "?" blocks, so hit the third one and a Mushroom/Fire Flower will pop out,
so pick it up. DO NOT LOSE YOUR FIRE FORM.

From here, head all the way right until you see 4 Nip-Nips frozen above a pipe.
Use your fireballs to melt the ice they are on, and make sure all 4 Nip-Nips
aren't frozen anymore. Now, remember where the 3 "?" blocks where? Head back to
them and then head left. You will see 2 ice blocks beneath two bricks. Get rid
of the ice block on the right. Now slide under the brick and hit it and a vine
will pop out, so climb the vine. At the top, get onto the platform to your
right. On here, hit the left block and a P-Switch will come out. Before hitting
it, remember where the pipe is that had frozen Nip-Nips on it that you un-
froze?

Hit the P-Switch and RUN to that pipe while the P-Switch is in effect. If you
get to that pipe in time, the Nip-Nips will now be coins so collect them all
(and now they can't turn back to Nip-Nips). Now you can enter the pipe, so do
so. In here, get into the opening to your left and hit the giant "?" block. The
Hammer Suit will pop out, so grab it. Now head down the slope and enter the
pipe at the end. Back out here, head right and you will get to a gap, so jump
over it. From here, head right and use all of the ice blocks to get rid of the
Buster Beetles. At the end of this platform, get onto the ice pillar to your
right. On here, get across the red spinning platforms onto the ice pillars.

From here, get past the ice pillars and then to the exit. Once you get to the
exit, hit the tile.

WORLD MAP:
That is all for normal Ice World levels. Head northwest to the 3rd fortress of
this world.

--------------------
World 6 Fortress #3
--------------------

This can be a really annoying fortress if you are not prepared. Try to enter
this level in a Hammer Suit if you can. Start this level by heading right until
you get to a pillar. Once you get to a pillar, get onto it. On here, get on the
conveyor belt to your right and use this to get onto the platform to your
right. On here, jump across the spike pit on your right. On here you will see a
Stretch with Boos on them. Since you don't have to get on it, try jumping over
it at best. On here, jump over the next Stretch you see or use your hammers if
you need to. From here, head right until you get to a "?" block.

Once you get to a "?" block, hit it and a Mushroom/Leaf will come out of it, so
pick it up. Now, head right and you will get to a conveyor belt, so get on it.
On here, head right and you will get to another conveyor belt. Watch out for
the Thwomp you see as well. Now once you see the next conveyor belt, get on it.
On here, head right and you will get to another Stretch. Get on it and try your
best to avoid the Boos. From here, get onto the white platform and watch out
for the Roto-Discs as well. Now get onto the next platform to your right. On
here, open the door to your right. In here, you will be falling to the ground.
Try your best to avoid the Boos in the air as well.

Once you hit the ground, you will notice the background is falling. A black
opening is also falling with it, so once you see that opening to the right,
enter it. In here, head right and you will get to Boom-Boom.

****************
Boss: Boom-Boom
Difficulty: 3/5
*****************

This Boom-Boom fight can be really easy or hard. If you came in here with a
Hammer Suit, it only takes 1 hammer to get rid of him. Otherwise, you may have
a problem fighting him because there are plenty of bocks in this room that may
get in your way. But you can use the higher blocks as protection from Boom-
Boom. When the fight starts, try to hit him on the head. After his first hit,
he will not grow a pair of wings, so try to hit him again. After two hits, he
will run and jump around like crazy, so try to hit him before he becomes a
problem. Now collect his orb.

WORLD MAP:
Save your game and head east to the castle.

----------------
World 6 Airship
----------------

This time it looks like the king has been transformed into a Monty Mole from
Super Mario World. Looks like we have to head to the airship once again. Start
the airship by heading right. You should get to a wire with a screw on it. To
get across the wire, keep jumping on the screw and it will move to the right.
Make sure you don't fall over it. Otherwise the gap it's in is small enough for
you to jump over, so you can do that instead. From here, head right and you
will get to two sets of screws and wires. Get on the second set and keep
jumping on the screw until you get to the edge of the wire.

Once you do that, head right to the ground below you, watching out for the
cannons shooting fire. Down here, jump over the small gap and head right you
get to a higher platform, watching out for all of the cannons shooting fire.
Once you do all of that, get onto the higher platform above you. Next to you
should be two "?" blocks. One has a coin and the other has a Mushroom/Leaf, so
pick it up. Now get onto the platform to your right. On here, head all the way
right until you get to a silver pipe. Once you get to a pipe, enter it.

******************
Boss: Lemmy Koopa
Difficulty: 4/5
******************

If not for Wendy Koopa, this could've been your hardest boss of the game. Lemmy
is just like Wendy, except he is clown-like and rides around on a circus ball
being a circus master. The room you are in is flat as well. The fight starts
with Lemmy shooting a ball up in the air. These balls will hurt you if you
touch them, but if you jump on them they won't. Now, Lemmy will move around the
room and try to charge at you. Try to hit him. After, he should shoot out
another circus ball, making the fight harder. Sooner or later, there will be 3
circus balls in the room and they can be hard to dodge.

If they are bouncing high in the air, run under them. If they are low near the
ground, jump over them. After three hits, Lemmy will lose the wand so pick it
up.

Ok, just picture this. Think of the king as if what a Monty Mole would look
like if it was human. That is my only thing I can picture him as. Now he gives
you a letter from Peach.

"Greetings,

I am well. Please retrieve the Magic Whistle hidden in the darkness at the end
of the third goal in the first world.

I have enclosed a jewel that helps protect you.

Princess Toadstool"

Well, she is talking about the hidden whistle in World 1-3. Of course, it is
too late to get it now if you didn't. Her item this time is a P-Wing. Woo. If
you beat all levels, you will get a World 6 Perfect Clear. Save your game and
then it's onto the next world.

<><><><><><><><><><>
World 7: Pipe Land
<><><><><><><><><><>

Well, I hope you have a good memory because you'll be going through plenty of
mazes in the Pipe Land. But Mario has that skill to do so being a plumber.
Plus, with the Nip-Nips around, it'll be weed-whacking time. Head south to the
first level.

World 7-1
----------

Coming Soon!

===========
7. Enemies
===========

Here is a list of all the enemies in the game. Yeah, there are plenty of them,
but if it's an enemy, you can find it here.

Angry Sun: Yeah, a nice sun with a mad face on it. Thank god you only face it
twice. Well, in each of the two levels, the sun will swoop down at you and try
to hit you. If that happens, stay where you are and jump when it attacks. A
nice Koopa shell will get rid of him. If the sun tries to attack, wouldn't it
burn up the Earth?

Baby Cheep: These are little red fish you can find in the water. They just swim
left and right and don't do anything. Like always, you will get hurt if you
bump into them. The only way to get rid of these is to have a Fire Flower and
shoot a fireball at them.

Big Bertha: A giant fish you can find swimming around in the water. They won't
hurt unless you bump into them. The only thing these fish do is spit out a
little fish, and after a few seconds that baby fish goes back into his mouth.
If these get in your way or give you any problems, fry them up with a Fireball.

Blooper: These enemies are octopus like enemies that move around in the water.
These enemies can become VERY annoying. They move up and down and all around
trying to get to you and annoy you. This is why you should enter a water level
in at least Fire Mario. Roasting this enemy with a fireball is a way to go.

Blooper Nanny: Though the Bloopers were bad enough? These are pretty much
worse. Same blooper, same size, new problem. The difference is that if you
notice, these have little baby bloopers on their tails following them
everywhere you go. Some time or another, the nanny will stop and release the
baby bloopers in all sorts of different directions. Just hope you're not in one
of them, and you can't kill the babies. Just fry the nanny with a fireball and
make the babies homeless.

Bob-omb: If you notice from the names, these are blue bombs that walk around on
the ground. After walking for a few seconds, these enemies will stop and
explode. If you're in its exploding range, you'll be hurt, otherwise you're
fine. Stepping on these will stun them and then they will explode. You can pick
them up and kick them around to get them out of your way. If you use these
correctly, you can have these explode on other enemies too.

Boo: Don't worry, I didn't mean to scare you. If you notice, these are small
white ghosts that can float around in the air. If you look at them, they will
close their eyes and they will not attack. If you turn your back on them, they
will open their eyes and start to float towards you and try to hit you. Since
they are ghosts, the only way to get rid of these enemies is to get a hammer
suit and chuck a hammer at them.

Boomerang Bros: One of the members of the Bros. trio. There is a Boomerang
Brother, Fire, and Hammer. For this enemy, they are pretty easy to get rid of
and fun to dodge. The best way to get rid of this enemy is to wait for it to
throw a boomerang, jump over it and stomp on the Brother. Another easy way is
to toss a fireball at is or take the risk and tail whack it. These appear
common in many of the early levels.

Boss Bass: One of the most annoying enemies in the game, and you'll see this
enemy a few times in World 3. In some levels there will be water below you. In
that water may be a Boss Bass in there. It is a giant fish that likes to go
stalk you. If you are near the water, it may jump out and eat you, losing a
life. Try to avoid these as best as you can because they annoy the hell out of
me. Using a fireball on them is the way to get rid of them, but no, a new Boss
Bass takes their place a few seconds later.

Bullet Bill: These are cannonballs with a face on them. You will be fine as
long as you don't touch them because they just go in a straight line from left
to right or right to left. These are fired out of cannons, which you can't get
rid of. These enemies are mostly found in airships, and they shouldn't be too
much of a problem. Stomping on these bullet bills are the way to get rid of
then.

Buster Beetle: Blue enemies that walk on the ground. You'll notice these easily
as they are small and walk on two feet standing up. If there are blue blocks
near them, they will pick them up with their muscles and try to throw them at
you. Of course, you can fight back by stomping on them, chucking a blue block
on them, cape whacking them or using a fireball. A fun enemy to fight.

Buzzy Beetle: Most of the time you will find these enemies underground, either
on the ground or on the ceiling. If they are on the floor, flip them over by
stomping on them and then kick them out. If they are on the ceiling, they will
fall over and try to attack you when they see you. Either way, these enemies
are completely fireproof so a Fire Flower won't help. Kicking one of these into
another Buzzy Beetle will get rid of the other ones too.

Chain Chomp: Think of these enemies as your attack dog in your backyard leashed
onto something. This enemy is a nice black enemy leashed onto a wooden block
urging to take a bite at you like an attack dog. It moves left and right until
you come near it, and then it charges at you, trying to bit and hurt you. I've
heard rumors if you get near these for 120 seconds, it will break free off of
the block and get you. I do not know if that is true or not. There is no way of
getting rid of this, as trying to jump onto it will hurt you. Nothing else
works either.

Cheep-Cheep: Thank god these aren't like the other Cheep-Cheeps in other Mario
games. But they had to put some kind of fish into the water, didn't they? These
enemies are found in water levels obviously. They won't bother you because all
they do is swim back and fourth, not even caring about you. Touching these
enemies do hurt you, and the best way to get rid of them is by using a
fireball. Watch out if they jump out of the water, they can be annoying.

Colossal Koopa Paratroopa: Found in World 4 only. These are giant Green Koopa
Troopas who jump around and fly in the air. I do not know how something this
big can fly, but it's possible. Just like all of the other enemies in World 4,
these are just as weak as a normal Koopa Troopa. Fry them to get rid of them
for good. Stomp on them to have them lose their wings, and stomp on them again
to stun them, or tail whack them to stun them. After that, you can pick up a
shell and toss it around.

Dry Bones: Ok, think of what happens to a Koopa when you leave it out in the
sun and it is 200 degrees outside. They burn up and turn gray. These are burned
up Koopas who are all dry and that they walk around in fortresses as well.
These don't try to attack you but they can be annoying at times. There is no
way to get rid of these enemies except to stomp on them. This will make them
break into bones of all kind, but they somehow recover and come back to life to
be annoying again. How can it do that itself?

Fire Bros.: The second in the trio of the Bros. family. Like the Boomerang
Bros., these guys spit fire like a Fire Flower at you. Sometimes the fireballs
can be annoying and tricky to dodge if there are multiple Fire Bros. around
you. Try to jump frequently around these guys. If a fireball hits you, jump on
their head while they are flashing so you won't be hurt for a few seconds. You
will need to knock out two of these if you want a warp whistle in World 2.

Fire Chomp: Chain Chomp is breaking on the loose! Yeah, somehow the Chain
Chomps have gotten off their leashes and instead of a leash on their back, they
have a line of fire behind them as they fly around the sky. These enemies can
get pretty annoying in World 5, and dodging them may be really tricky. When
this enemy sees you, it will shoot its fireballs at you, so jump around to try
and dodge them. Once these enemies are out of fireballs, they will leave and
come back with a new set of fire. Using your own fireballs will get rid of
these enemies, but you can stomp on their head as well.

Fire Snake: Yep, snakes are now on fire. You don't see these enemies often, but
mostly in World 2. These snakes like to jump around trying to get to you. They
don't jump too high, but stepping on these will hurt you, as they are on fire.
To get rid of these, use a nearby Koopa Shell or whack them with your tail if
you are Raccoon Mario. The best way to get rid of these enemies is to charge
right into them while you are invincible, but you must hit their head first.

Goomba: Your most basic enemy in the game who has decided to join Bowser's
army. You will find these a lot in the early levels and they are pretty stupid.
All they do is walk around doing nothing, trying to bump into you, which
obviously hurts you. It is your choice of how to knock them out. Either stomp
on them, fry them, tail whack them, hammer them, or run into them being
invincible. They are that weak.

Grand Goomba: An oversized giant Goomba you will only find in World 4, which is
the Giant Land. They may look like a big problem, but they really are not. You
will be hurt if you bump into them but the way you want to knock them out is
your choice again. Either stomp on them, fry them, hammer them, tail whack
them, or run into you while you are invincible. They are as weak as a normal
Goomba.

Green Gargantua Koopa Troopa: Ok, this is the giant flying Koopa Troopa in
World 4 without the wings, so it walks around the ground left and right, doing
nothing. Like all other giant enemies in World 4, they are just as weak as
their smaller versions. One fireball will knock them out for good and stomping
or tail whacking them will stun them inside their shell. After that, you can
pick up their shell and toss it around. Even Mario can still pick up these
giant enemies!

Green Koopa Paratroopa: You will see these a lot in many of the levels.
Sometimes they can get a pit annoying. These Koopas are on wings but they can't
really fly. They just jump up and down around in the air. To dodge these,
either jump over them or run under them if they are high enough in the air.
Otherwise, stomp on them once to get rid of their wings, twice to stun them, or
one fireball to get rid of them. Like all Koopas, you can pick up their Koopa
shell and have fun.

Green Koopa Troopa: The same Koopa, except without the wings. They walk around
on the ground doing nothing. There are also Red Koopas out there, and there is
a big difference between a red and a green Koopa. When Green Koopas walk, they
will fall off the edge of a platform into a gap/pit/etc. These are more of a
danger to killing themselves than being a danger to you. Stomp on them and use
their shell. Now have fun.

Hammer Bros: The third of the 3 in the Bros. series. These are your basic
enemies and they have been there ever since the first Super Mario Bros. These
are less annoying than the earlier versions. A Hammer Bros. tries to chuck
hammers at you when you fight one of these on the world map. After chucking
hammers at you, they will stop for a few seconds and jump onto another
platform. The way of getting rid of these enemies is your choice. Stomp on
them, deck them from a brick, burn them with a fireball, cape whack them, or
whatever you want. After fights on the world map, these will give out a good
item.

Hanging Piranha Plant: Yep, you can see Piranha Plants coming out from a pipe
anywhere. These hang from pipes on the ceiling and try to reach out and bite
you. If you bump into these, you will be hurt. These are found a lot in levels
with pipes and there are plenty of them in World 7. To get rid of these, do
anything but jump into them. That includes cape whacking, using a fireball on
them, running into them while invincible, and so on.

Hot Foot: Just like the Boos, except these flames walk on the ground. If you
look at these, it will not do anything and just stay where it is. Once you turn
your back to it, it will start chasing you, so try your best to dodge these,
especially if they are in groups. There is only one way to also get rid of
these enemies. If you are wearing a hammer suit, you can chuck a hammer at them
to knock them out. These are found in the later fortresses, but they still
shouldn't be a problem.

Jelectro: Another annoying enemy you will find in the water. These can be found
in many of the water levels in World 3. These jellyfish stay where they are and
do nothing. If you see one of these enemies, they will most likely be in a huge
group. If so, try your best to swim through these jellyfish without trying to
touch them. There is no way of knocking out these enemies, so don't waste your
time to do so. It may let the Bloopers get to you and annoy you even more.

Kuribo's Goomba: One of the most coolest enemies in the game. Sadly, you can
only find them in one level in World 5. This has a little Goomba inside a green
shoe. They bounce around all over the place trying to get to you. If they land
on a platform of bricks, you can deck them from below and this will knock out
the Goomba, but it will NOT get rid of the shoe. After that, you can jump into
the shoe and have FUN. You can bounce all over the place, go over spike pits,
stomp on any enemy, and you can have a shoe until the end of the level. Just
enjoy these while you can.

Lakitu: Another really enemy you don't want to be in the middle of. World 5 is
your death pit to finding these enemies. They fly around in the air trying to
annoy the hell out of you, making your life hard. The worst thing they do is
toss as many Spinies as they want to the ground so they can get in your way and
try to bump into you. If you see one of these Lakitus, either run like crazy,
get on a high platform, or just do something to get away from it. But no,
another Lakitu will come back and take its place.

Lava Lotus: Something else that makes World 3 a pain down in the deep blue sea.
These stay on the ground and don't move, and these are shaped like a flower
too. An evil flower. Once you see these, they will start to spit out 4 mines
into the water, but they won't be very high. You can avoid them by simply
swimming high, and they travel out slow. After the mines disappear, he will
spit another set of mines. There is no way of getting rid of these enemies, so
just don't waste your time with these either.

Missile Bill: Just like the Bullet Bills, these shouldn't be enough to annoy
you either. The only difference is that these bills are in a flashing color
different from the Bullet Bills. The other thing is that they fly around in the
air and move from left to right once they are fired out from a cannon. You can
mostly find these in World 4, but their good thing is that you can stomp on
these and use them to get to a higher platform. Dodging them shouldn't be a
problem either.

Mugger-Micro Goomba: Try your best to dodge these in World 5, otherwise you're
in for a world of pain. These are tiny, tiny Goombas that may be dropped down
by other flying Goombas. If one of these gets onto you, then good luck. They
will slow you down, make it harder for you to jump and you will jump a lot
lower. This may make you hit an enemy or even fall into a gap. They will go
away after a few seconds, and you can thank god that they will.

Munchers: Well, something had to fill those pits in during World 6. These are
sometimes in between pipes or Wooden blocks during World 6, but they are
annoying. They have their mouths opened ready to take a munch at you, but you
can easily jump over them. If you fall onto them, you will be hurt. There is
only 1 unusual way of getting rid of these enemies. If there is a P-Switch
nearby, the P-switch will turn these into coins when you hit it! Yeah, real
break there. Collect those coins so they'll never come back again.

Nipper Plant: The complete opposite of a muncher. The difference is that there
don't stay where they are. They move around the level as well. If you try to
jump over them, they will try to jump up in the air and hit you. If you try to
jump on them, you will be hurt. Unlike Munchers, these can be knocked out. Use
a fireball on them, cape whack them, run into them while they are invincible,
and so on. Just don't hump on them.

Para-Beetle: The next thing to go out there and annoy you. Thankfully these are
only found in one level during World 5. These enemies are red Buzzy Beetles
that fly around in the air and you can also use them as "stepping stones". If
you stay on one flying beetle, it will start to fly higher into the air, so
you'll need to be quick hopping from beetle to beetle. To have these fly lower,
you will need to keep jumping on them to push them lower in the air. There is
no way to kill these so don't bother.

Para-Goomba: These are red Goombas on wings. All they do is jump and fly around
the air. Like the normal Goombas, these shouldn't be a threat. When they are
low on the ground, you just need to stomp on them to get rid of their wings. Or
you can just tail whack or use a fire flower to knock it out in one hit. Just
like the Goomba, you will be seeing these plenty of times.

Para-Goomba & Micro-Goombas: Well, think of a Para-Goomba dropping tiny, tiny
Goombas on you. There you go. These Goombas like to fly around dropping the
Mugger Goombas on you. If they get onto Mario/Luigi, it will slow you down,
make you jump lower, making it more likely you would fall into a gap or bump
into an enemy. If you don't want these Para-Goombas to annoy you, stomp on them
to destroy their wings. They won't be dropping any Mugger-Goombas now. Or just
knock them in one hit with a Fire-Flower or tail whacking.

Pile Driver Micro-Goomba: Yep, remember those blocks that liked to bounce
around all over the place in World 2? These are what cause it. There are Mugger
Goombas beneath them moving the blocks all over the place. To tell these
different from the real bricks, they are darker and a tad smaller. Now, when
you see one of these ready to bounce, stomp on the back of them to get rid of
them and they shouldn't be a problem. Otherwise, the best way to dodge them is
to run under them or hope they land on a different platform.

Piranha Plant: As you know, this also came from the earlier versions of Super
Mario Bros. as well. You may see these enemies in levels with a lot of pipes
and they may come out as a surprise. They will not come out of the pipe if you
are on top of the pipe. Watch out for these, and stomping on them will hurt you
as well. You will see plenty of these earlier in the game, and a LOT of them
during the pipe levels in World 7. To get rid of them, use a fireball, tail
whack them, hammer suit them, or run into them while you are invincible. They
still shouldn't be a problem.

Podoboo: These are only found in fortresses, where there is lava. If you see a
lava pit, there may be a flame coming out of it. This is what they are. In some
fortresses, these may be even coming out of the ceiling as well. When they go
back into the lava, that is the best time to jump over the lava pit before they
come out again. There is only two ways of getting rid of these fireballs, as
jumping on them will hurt you and fireballs/cape whacking won't work either.
You can get rid of these by chucking a hammer at them with your hammer suit or
running into them while you are invincible.

Ptooie: Just think of a Piranha Plant being able to escape out of a pipe and
walk around on the ground. That's what these plants do, and you'll find them
mostly in World 6. They walk around the ground, minding their own business
playing catch with a spike. They toss it in the air and it comes back down to
them. They won't bother you, but touching them anywhere will hurt you, but you
can tail whack them and fry them with a fireball if they do get really
annoying.

Red Giant Koopa Troopa: Like always, bigger is never better, especially in
World 4. They are the giant versions of their normal Koopa Troopas. They will
do no harm to you and walk around. The difference from the Green Koopas is that
when they walk around on platforms, they will not walk off, instead they turn
back around and walk the other direction. Of course, you can take advantage of
that by stunning them, picking their shell up and using it as a weapon. Wonder
how Mario can still pick up giant enemies.

Red Koopa Paratroopa: Same as red Koopas, except these have wings. But of
course, they don't take advantage of having them. Instead of walking, they hop
around in their wings. Stomp on them to get rid of the wings, stomp on them
again to stun them so you can pick up their shell. Of course, if you use a
fireball on them, you can knock them out in one him. Or tail whacking can still
stun them as well. Sometimes you can dodge them by running under them as well.

Red Koopa Troopa: Almost the complete opposite of a Green Koopa. Just like the
Green Koopa, you can stomp on them to stun them and then pick up their shell
and toss it at something. You can knock them out completely using a fireball.
The difference from the Green Koopa is that when these walk on platforms, they
will not fall off onto a lower platform/gap/etc, instead they will turn around
and walk the other direction. Shouldn't matter anyway, but in levels with a lot
of gaps, these can get in your way on some of the platforms.

Rocket Engines: The next new thing installed on the airships. Instead of
shooting out Bullet Bills, they spit out fire for a few seconds and then the
fire goes back into the cannon. Pretty easy to dodge, just get on top of the
cannon. There is no way of getting rid of the cannon or the fire, so don't try
because you'll just get yourself hurt. If the fire gets you while you are in
statue form as a Tanooki Suit, the fire will diminish.

Rocky Wrench: Another new thing about the airships. They like to stay hidden
underground and wait for you. You'll know they're there when you see a yellow
lid pop out from the ground. You can stomp on that led to get rid of it before
it attacks or you can use a fireball. Once it pops out of the ground, it will
toss a wrench at you, which is pretty easy to dodge. Just duck or jump over it.

Roto-Disc: In the fortresses, you will see this disc of fire rotating counter
clockwise or clockwise. They are pretty easy to get past them, but not if they
are in groups. If you touch them in any way, you will be hurt. The only way of
getting rid of these is to take a Tanooki Suit, turn into a statue and have the
disc hit you. It will go away. Otherwise, just walk past them.

Sledge Bros: Ok, maybe this is a fourth member of the Bros. family, but I don't
think so. They are only found in World 4, but I consider them to be a bigger
version of the Hammer Bros. This is the only case for the enemies where "bigger
is better". They are giant Hammer Bros. tossing hammers at you. Try to jump
over them or run under them, and when he jumps, you will be stunned for a few
seconds and he will try to attack. Hit him on the head and jump when he jumps.
Also, try to see one of these when you are Fire Mario and it won't be a
problem.

Spike: Looks like they are not really spikes. You will see these a lot in the
underground levels of World 6. They are blue enemies who walk left and right.
If they see you, they may hurl a gray spike at you and toss it. It can be
easily dodged by jumping over it or ducking, as it shouldn't hit you. Just use
a fireball, tail whack, or stomp on them to get rid of them. If you hit them
while they are about to release a spike, you won't be hurt. Fun little enemies
to deal with.

Spiny: A nice annoying enemy for your delight in most of the level. They walk
around and they have spikes on their back. If you stomp on them, you will be
hurt. Use a fireball or tail whack them to get rid of them. Sometimes they may
be walking on the ceiling as well. If they do, they will drop and spin at you.
You can stomp on them and pick their shell up like a Koopa if they drop from
the ceiling. These can be really annoying if they are in groups too.

Spiny Eggs: These are the Spinies that are dropped down from a Laktiu. Once
they hit the ground, they will start rolling at you and try to attack you
before they uncurl. If you try to stomp on them, you will be hurt. Use a
fireball or tail whack them to get rid of them. A difference is that these eggs
are green instead of red.

Spiny Cheep-Cheep: Just when you thought you were done with those sea enemies.
Well, not quite. This Cheep-Cheep is blue with spikes on their back and they
float around in the water, ignoring you and not doing anything. If you bump
into them, you will be hurt. You can best get past these by swimming under or
over them. To get rid of them, the only method is to use a fireball on them.

Stretch: Always wondered what those white platforms were in the fortress? Those
are what these day. They are thin white platforms. That's not all. Boos on both
sides of the platform will pop out and move around the platform. You will be ok
as long as you don't hit the Boos, otherwise you will be hurt. Try your best to
avoid them when you have to walk on these platforms. The only way you can get
rid of these enemies is to get a Hammer Suit and chuck a hammer at the Boos.
Even if you only hit one Boo, the other one will go away as well.

Thwomp: These are the common gray stone blocks you will find during the
fortresses. They will hang for the ceiling and wait for you to come near them.
When you get next to them, they will fall to the ground and try to hit you. But
you have enough time to get out of the way, and when they go back up to the
ceiling you can run under them. Do not waste your time attacking these as you
will just get hurt. If you have a hammer suit, you can chuck a hammer at these
and they will be gone.

Venus Fire Trap: Another type of the Piranha Plant. They hide in the pipes and
wait for you to come by. Once they come out of the pipe, they will shoot
fireballs in the air that can easily miss you if you don't move. Sometimes the
fireballs won't even come close to hitting you. Bumping into these will hurt
you, but the way of getting rid of these enemies is to use a fireball or tail
whack them.
