-VERSION HISTORY-

Version 0.1: (04/06/20) - First started this FAQ.
-----------------------

"Finally! A chip code location has been posted for the Blue Moon
board" you might say. Well, to be honest, it wasn't schedule for me to
release this guide due to technical problem with my partner who
was supposed to work with me on this. Unfortunately for me, at the last
moment, he can no longer assist me. Since I own Red, working
on the Red Sun chip code location FAQ is my top priority. Therefore,
this FAQ won't be updated until I'll get Blue Moon or find myself
a new partner. For now, this has left me but little choice but to post
the data that we collected by far for this version of MMBN4. Otherwise,
our hard work would go to waste. Please do not blame me for the lack of
information. May I say that this FAQ has already covered 3/4 of the
information of the entire game.

Version 0.2: (2004/10/04)
-------------------------

Well, nothing had really changed.
I'm still trying to find someone to aid me doing this. So anyone up to it
who has great experience writting FAQs are welcome. You might be also
wondering why I haven't respond to any of your mails lately. Technically,
my internet services is down. Therefore, I should be back for good in the
next month.

Oh and, I'll be back answering mails after the 9th day of November.

I. INTRODUCTION {ICHIDA}

//                                                                          \\
Welcome to the Megaman battle Network 4: Blue Moon chip code location guide.
As in the previous Battle Network games, chips provide you the support
necessary to face your enemies, and advance through the game. As you may
notice, the chips and the codes are fundamental in the journey, so having a
good folder will help you a LOT. If you have trouble finding chips or a
specific code, using this guide will let you know where and how to get that
annoying chip you so much desire. We hope you find this guide useful.
Remember, you can activate the search engin with the ctrl+f keyword which
will speed up the search. Enjoy!

Oh yea, please read the version history if you haven't.
If you would like to contact me, I'm sorry but I won't answer or read any
comments or suggestions due to personal problems which is critical may I add.
So do not bother trying. In the near future, you'll be able to do so when
all this devastating affairs will be finally fixed.
\\                                                                          //

II. ABOUT THOSE {XXXX} THROUGHOUT THE GUIDE {KLON}

Wondering what's the usefulness of those thingie in the table of contents
and throughout the guide? Actually, they are just mere support system for
the search engin "CTRL+F". How to use them? Just press the keyword "CTRL+F"
then input the support word and thereafter click on "search" and voil!
"How stupid this is, you only have to input the name of the chip; no need
to use this weird system" You'll probably say. Since I typed many chip
names repetively, you'll have to press the "next" button several times
before reaching your goal. And that my friend, it is really annoying eh?

III. COPYRIGHT NOTICE {PONCHO}

This document is entirely my work, and was written and is owned by me.
Please remember that posting our FAQ without our permission in your own
site is illegal. As long as we accept you're trustworthy, you'll have nothing
to fear us of persuing you for this matter. Just ask first and I will see

IV. CHIP LIST {POYO}

This is the database of all chips in the game. If you wished to
go directly to the goal which is the location chip chapter, be my guest.
It's right under this chapter after the Secret chip list database.

A.) STANDARD CHIPS {TREB}

You can only put 4 of the same chips in your folder. Otherwise,
you'll probably make cheap folder which will make you lose interest
and fun of the game.

B.) MEGA-CLASS CHIPS LIST {BLAST}

Unlike the standard chips, it has less codes, less copies, but higher
powerful capability though. You can only put a five Mega-Class chip in
your folder unless if you equip MegaFld in your Navi Customizer
Program which will allow you to put an extra more.
Note that Secret-Class chips are considered as Mega-Class chips.
Oh and, you'll can only put one of the same of the chip. I know it sucks,
but what do you want me to do? Stop whinning and deal with it. ^_^

C.) GIGA-CLASS CHIPS LIST {SAX}

The shortest database ever. Those chips are similar as the Mega-class,
but harder to get and only comes in one copy EXCEPT for bugcharg which is a
special giga chip. You can only put one of those in your folder unless if you
happen to have the NCP block to allow you to put one extra more which is very
hard to find. Just check Zidanet_129's Navi Customizer guide for any further
information.

Note that Giga-Class chips can't be traded via linking or whatsoever.
Except of course by cheating.

//                                                                           \\

D.) SECRET CHIPS LIST {SHIN}

Those chips below can only be obtained by either trading or by doing
Higsby's free tournament which is held at his blackboard at his store.
You'll need to link with another player though, which is a real pain to
the ass. Secret-Class chips are considered as Mega-Class chips since
they have the same background color which is blue if you
aren't observant. _'
So meaning, you can't only put a maximun of five Mega unless if you
have the special Navi Customizer block.

V. CHIP LOCATION {BEI}

Hrm. Here's the part of the FAQ where we reveal the location of the chips
in the game. Before scrolling down, there's few thing you need to know.
While reading the location of certain chips, you'll probably come across words
abbreviations which refers to MMBN object related such as:

GMD = Green Mystery Data which flows all over the net.
In-Battle GMD = Green Mystery Data which can only be found in battle.
BMD = Blue Mystery data which flows all over the net.
PMD = Purple Mystery Data which can only be opened by using an "Unlocker"
3CT = Three Chip Trader which can be found in a certain area of the real world.
10CT = Ten Chip Trader which can be found in a certain area of the real world.

Like in the other MMBN games, chip can only be won if you have a certain
specific buster level in a battle. However, there might be a high possibility
that you could gain the chip even in a higher busting level as my database did
not expected which this situation occurs very very rarely.
Theoretically, I think it's all due to the result of the time delete.
Anyway, my data is approximately accurate if you ask me. >_>
One more thing, this guide only helps getting chips without using COLLECT NCP.
In one word, if you are equipping it, all my hard work won't have any meaning
to it which means half of it is all innacurate.

Meh. I present you the layout:

#xxx {Chip name}

{Chip name} {Chip code}: {How to get it} {more information if required}
{Chip name} {Chip code}: {How to get it} {more information if required}
{Chip name} {Chip code}: {How to get it} {more information if required}
{Chip name} {Chip code}: {How to get it} {more information if required}

Hope this is enough understandable for you?
Hmph. This is all I have to say. Anyway, you can now scroll down
without any worries now.

VI. FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS {PSYK}

-----
Q: I'm at the antenna of Sharo, trying to fix the weather. One
of the torch is asking me to find a lava stage? Where can
I find one? Thanks!

A: Actually, its an HeatBrth K battle chip you must search for.
You can either encounter the virus in NetFrica or by buying the
actual chip in Netopia Network Area by an Net-Dealer.
-----
Q: Hello there. Just to point you that there are missing chips
you haven't mentioned in your FAQ which are mostly level 3 viruses.
Hope you can fix these soon.

A: May I recall this is only a minor version? Meaning this FAQ is
still under construction. Oh and, it will take probably a hell of
a time before its completely done.
-----
Q: It says here on your guide that this chip can be gotten from
Higsby's chip order system. But when I went there and see, it
isn't there. So I guess you made an error?

A: No. The only way you can purchase the chips wanted is by first
having it in your library database.

VIII. HOW TO CONTACT ME {FOOD}

Oh yea, please read the version history if you haven't.
If you would like to contact me, I'm sorry but I won't answer or read any

ignore what I wrote under this.

No need to scroll down further since this is were the guide permanently
ends. If you wish to thank me for doing such a nicely sweet job, then
don't email me. Seriously, If you really feel insanely the pain of
showing your gratitude toward me, then just go rate my FAQ at
gamefaqs's MMBN4 walkthrough front page. Your action will be greatly
appreciated. One more thing, if you ask me the ROM or whatsoever
concerning illegal activities, I'll delete your mail without any
hesitation. Same thing goes with bad subject tittle, please write
something related to MegaMan because I've been receiving lots of mail
containing virus lately which has no tittle and sometime tittles who
doesn't make any sense. So, I'm used to send them directly to the thrash
basket regardless of knowing what they contain.

Just e-mail me at "[email protected]" if you have any questions.
