Question for Yu-Gi-Oh! The Sacred Cards

So every time I try to use a card with a big attack point like 1300 (for example)it says: "a single tribute is required"
So my question is what is a tribute and how do I use/get one ????

A tribute is a monster with a lower power, or a higher one, that when you sacrifice it, you can bring in a more powerfull monster. Depending on how many stars the card has, the more tributes it requires. If you want to still play a strong monster, go to the card shop and fing level 4 monsters with a high attack power(1600 or something) as they still don't need a tribute.
