To make us feel special. Other than that, they should not be in the game.

Another person said on this FAQ that one should play against yugi, yami yugi, Marik, his sister and defeat them 45 times each as well as defeating simon 3 times

it's the same as real life.. apparently u cannot use them in tournaments because they are too powerful.. but we can still obtain them..
