How do you get a Shiny Rayquaza?
How do you get a shiny rayquaza without using an action replay, gameshark, or trading?

Its really hard to catch a shiny one legit.Save in front of the Rayquaza and battle the Rayquaza,if it's not shiny,turn your game off then turn it back on and battle it again.This will take a long time since there's like a 7% of wild shiny encounter.It works so don't give up when you think it's hopeless.Maybe around 500 hundred tries or so?Who knows,you just need luck.Hoped I helped.

The chance of any particular pokemon encounter being shiny is 1 in 8,192. Even if you've reset and battled Rayquaza 8,191 times before, the chance that the next time will be shiny is still 1 in 8,192.

Actually that is not true. it is a probability and probability alone. And as the quote goes, Chance has no memory. That probability is simply what it is: a probability.

That's something commonly known as the Gambler's Fallacy. The chance of failing 8193 times in a row might be low, but if you HAVE already failed 8192 times, there is still a 1/8192 chance of a shiny. If you flip a coin ten times and get 9 heads, you still have a 1/2 chance of heads because you have already flipped 9.

Well, purely mathematically speaking, there's around a 19.5% chance that you still haven't found a Shiny Rayquaza after 8192 tries. It's simply doing the reverse of the chance to find one )not finding one, thus around 0.9998) and elevate it's power to the number of times you repeat the test. After 10 000 tries there still is around a 13.5% chance that you haven't found it yet

The reason why it is given a probability is because it will even out to that amount eventually. So even though you aren't guaranteed a shiny after 8193 tries, you will most likely get one soon. I'm a statistics major. Just giving my input.

I must have gotten really lucky... I caught raquaza, looked at the bad egg sumarry in the PC, had to reset to after I beat the league, had to rechach him and got shiny

I haven't caute a shiny legendary before. The best way to get a shiny raquaza though is to just soft reset until it shines

I'm pretty sure that Groudon, Kyogre, Rayquazza and deoxys are shiny locked, which makes them incapable of being shiny

Shiny locking on legendaries wasn't introduced until generation 5 (black and white). In OR/AS, yes, kyogre, groudon, rayquaza, and deoxys are all shiny locked. In the original R/S/E on the GBA, no, they are not shiny locked. It is completely possible to catch them as shinies, but still highly unlikely (that 1/8,200 chance or whatever it is).
