Question for Final Fantasy IV Advance

Um guys pls tell me I'm stuck when I'm fighting myself
(the dark dude against the paladin)what do I do to kill him hes
Immortal pls tell me.

You don't attack. You should see messages at the top of the screen that say something along the lines of "A true paladin shall sheathe his sword." If you don't attack, he'll eventually kill himself because he keeps using Dark, which always takes away HP each time he uses it.

To beat him you have to keep healing yourself with your new spell cure and some potions. Eventually you will win!!!!!

In my experience, you don't actually need to attack. Read the writing on top which is a clue to defeat him. In the dictionary, "sheathe" means put back a sword in it's place in other words, cover which is one of the actions cecil can do.So, when it is your turn, use cover and let him attack when it's your turn again just deffend and let him attack again for around 3 times after that, use off then there will be a message and then he will die by himself.
