Vulcan Chip Group hints and tips for Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Protoman

Vulcan Chip Group

Vulcan1

Attack: 10 X3 (total: 30)

- - - |- - - M= Megaman

- M >|> V X V= Virus

- - - | - - - X= Secondary hit

Fires three rapid shots and hits two enemys: the one you are aiming at, and the one behind it. This is useful for shooting at a rock and still hitting the virus behind it.

Vulcan2

Attack: 10 X5 (total: 50)

- - - |- - - M= Megaman

- M >|> V X V= Virus

- - - | - - - X= Secondary hit

Upgraded version of Vulcan1. Same attack strength, but fires five shots instead of three.

Vulcan3

Attack: 10 X7 (total: 70)

- - - |- - - M= Megaman

- M >|> V X V= Virus

- - - | - - - X= Secondary hit

Upgraded version of Vulcan2. Same attack strength, but fires five shots instead of three.

Supervulcan

Attack: 10 X12 (total: 120)

Pattern:

- - - |- - - M= Megaman

- M >|> V X V= Virus

- - - | - - - X= Secondary hit

This one is the grandaddy of them all. Very powerful, but a little pricey...

The entire Vulcan group can be drastically improved by adding Attack+10 chips. This will double the chip's attack power. Instead of 10 X 3 to get 30, It'll be 20 X 3 to get 60. This is especially useful with multiple Attack+10 chips.
