How to get Continous Water

If you are lucky your first island will have a water tower on it which you will enable you to get plenty of free water early on. Keep in mind that is a limited supply of water as it relies on collecting if from the wild. In order to have continuous water early on in Floodland you need to research the Water Still Technology from the Survival panel.

Early Food Resources

Two buildings you should research early in Floodland to establish a food supply are the Forager Hut and the Fishing Dock. Both these buildings will allow you to gather food and expand your community. Make sure you reduce your foraging and fishing staff to one person as soon as possible. Fishes and mushrooms don't grow fast enough for a crew of three. Whenever you see any bushes or other food source spawn on the island, make sure that you collect it immediately.

Insect Farm

A good way to provide safe food in large quantities for lots of people early in Floodland is by having a small farm with an Insect Farm.

Uncheck Treasures

It is recommended that you uncheck treasures that are found in houses. When you do this it allows you to grab all the good stuff and doesn't force your pathfinders into returning.
