I absolutely loved this game. I'm still playing through it, but gave my brother a chance to play to rave about it's perfectness. The storyline is addictive. The graphics are amazing. MOVIES ARE BEAUTIFUL! This game almost makes me cry because it is so perfect in every way.
The graphics are out of this world. I actually stop and pan cam around to view all of the architecture, the sky, the buildings, and just anything else that seems appropriate to view. The only detail I have found that seems poor are six-packs. They look really fake, and sometimes the muscles do too, but other than that minor flaw (which I don't look at for obvious reasons) every detail has been captured. The Movies will capture your heart and make you forget that this is a game, not a movie.
I'm no expert on sound to say the least. I liked how the music for victory still appears in the ADB combat system. The chocobo music has been editted as always but is still the basic theme lives. The voices are well played and the soft patter of feet running through a field is enjoyable as well.
The game play is 3 simple letters ADB. The new battling system is great. Gambits, the system that tells people what to do, works very well, but some bugs still exist that become annoying at times when you try to do advanced things. The cities are huge joyous to walk about in. Everything seems great so far and shows no signs of letting up.
Minigames to play for days on end. While this is the first Final Fantasy I feel that I can even remotely complete fully, and there does seem to be an end to al the adventures, the minigames, side-quests, hunts, and favors people ask you to do will take you just short of an eternity to complete. It will last you until XIII at very least, and probably taunt you to keep grabbing those % points until completion.
10 out of 10. This game has gotten my brother, who hates Final Fantasy with a passion, to sit and watch me plya for 2 hours straight. That is what told me how good it was. Everything is amazing, the flaws are so tiny on the grand scale of things. MUST BUY GAME!
