Introduction

Fight Night Round 3 is a boxing classic. By far Fight Night exceeds all competition with graphics, game play and boxing combinations and techniques. To date I would say Fight Night is the best and only boxing game I would give my time to. Only on Xbox 360 of coarse. The game opens up with a detailed boxing match showing what it has in store for the player. Once you get under way with your carrier, you first start off as an amateur fighter and you have to prove yourself to become a professional. You can meet the likes of Ali in those early fights. Then what you do and how you train your boxer is up to you. The combinations on the way to physically have to boxer are awesome. You can choose from tall, short, fat, skinny, Mr universe, blonde, brown, dark, pale, hazel eyes and even the type of facial hair. Basically I think EA Sports have just put that in there so players can try and match the boxers to them self.

Graphics

The graphics of Fight Night is what makes the game. No other boxing game will offer the amount of detail this game does. You see swelling go down as you rub the cold steel across it, and blood flow slow as you close the cut. They have even gone as far as putting the knock out punch in slow motion with the boxer throwing spit laced with blood. You will also see the skin on the boxers face ripple from the punch.
The only graphics glitch, which doesnt really matter and is funny, is the crowd. They just sit there doing the same thing over and over again. As I said who cares because its all in the boxing.

Sound

The sound offered by Fight Night is a bit of a let down. The same tracks play over and over again, and the same one starts when you hit the main page. The music was good first time I played the campaign mode but third time round I turned it down and put on my own music. I think you may be able to select which sounds play when and at what youre doing so that does give you a degree of freedom of what songs you want to listen to.

Gameplay

The game play along with the graphics makes this game. In Fight Night you start of as a amateur and work your way up the ranks. This can be pretty fun as at every step you have a small goal to work towards. For example, becoming well known as a boxer. Then as you achieve the highest level and keep boxing, cause you love it, you will begin to see that your stats go down after every fight. This is the game telling you to retire. So your boxing carrier is over, but now you can fight in the ESPEN Classics. This is where you can choose to be your favourite boxer and match up against his rival and fight in a fight that has actually happened in history. All up with the multiplayer options and the carrier mode this game offers a huge and fantastic experience.

Lastability

As I am writing this review more than a year after it's release on Xbox 360 I think lastability talks for it self. This game has gamers stuck to the boxing scene and as seeing its the only good boxing game out it still will continue to entertain. For a game that was made for Xbox it has done extremely well on the 360 playing fields. Fight Night Round 3 will continue to be the most played boxing game, the only thing gamers are crying out for is for another Round.

Overall

Overall this game is an awesome game that doesnt fail to impress. It is definitely a game to buy if not for it's incredible game play and graphics then for the easy 1000 game score points. If you dont want to buy an old game then wait in hope with the rest of the boxers that EA Sports will bring out another Fight Night that stomps over Round 3

Final Score: 88%
