Do not let the AI take control of the Practice sessions as doing so will result in your driver ending up with paltry confidence figures which is something you want to avoid. Make sure you manually take control of Practice sessions.

There are different optimal temperatures for every compound of tyre used and it is important that you keep your tyres in the optimal temperature range as it helps prevent higher tyre wear and grip loss. It also helps to prevent brake lock-ups and puncture-causing flat spots. To increase tyre temperatures, ask your drivers to increase their pace. To lower tyre temperatures, do the opposite.

A new feature in F1 Manager 2023 is the Race Replay mode which allows you to jump into any race that has already happened and try to alter the result. Take advantage of this feature by using it as a testing ground. In Race Replay mode there are far less consequences for messing up a race strategy compared to in Career mode.

Qualifying in F1 Manager 2023 is unlike real Formula 1 races where doing multiple laps per session is not necessary. The track is fastest at the end of the session, so it is beneficial to save tires by doing only one run. Keep in mind there is the possibility of encountering traffic, as AI cars are not very considerate when it comes to getting out of the way.

The car setup satisfacton is the most crucial bonus to focus on as it offers the highest performance bonuses. You can earn these bonuses by adjusting your driver's car setup throughout the three sessions. The closer to 100% you get with each driver's car setup, the higher your driver preparation will be.
