Elderand Cheats and Tips

Elderand is a Lovecraftian inspired Metroidvania and hack 'n' slash RPG game where you explore a dangerous world and fight deadly creatures for untold treasure. We have a collection of cheats and tips that will help you in this mobile game which is available on Android and iOS.

Elderand Cheats and Tips

You take on the role of a nameless hunter who has washed up in a mysterious land with his crew dead and no bearings to work from. This place is filled with a litany of monsters and threats, and throughout your journey, you unravel a tense plot involving a cult, a serpent society, and a village under threat.

Elderand Cheats and Tips

Below is a collection of cheats and tips that will help your progression in Elderand.

  • Explore with Caution

Elderand does not have a difficulty system or any assist modes you can use to simplify the game if you are struggling. Even though the game has been set up so that you are not encouraged to linger you need to resist the temptation to rush through maps.

It is crucial that you advance with caution as there will be instances where you trigger multiple enemies at once and you will need to deal with them accordingly. Moving cautiously will give you plenty of space to see upcoming threats from all angles.

  • Use Different Weapons

There are a variety of different weapons available in Elderand and you need to make sure you fill all your open slots with a range of them as there will be some enemies, especially bosses, that behave in ways that will easily counter certain weapons and you do not want to waste time trying to slay them in an impractical way.

  • Remain in the First Area

Although you can easily reach the forest area by heading north and the city area by going Northeast it is more beneficial to begin by holding back and grinding in the beginning caves. The two aforementioned areas are a lot harder.

In the beginning caves you will encounter a huge spider called Shakna, in this boss' den you can rescue Guam who will become a vendor in the forest area.

  • Easy Level Up Spot

Once you have progressed far enough into Elderland to stumble upon a lizard-like mermaid creature called a Reject you will have reached an easy level up spot. The first fight against this creature will be challenging but the next time will be easy.

You will encounter another Reject after the chest that contains the first shield. If you jump down to lure the Reject into the spikes, it will fall for it every time, thus earning you easy experience points (XP). By doing this you will be able to level up within two minutes every time, although it does take longer the higher you get in levels. Each level up grants you one point.

  • Purchase a Rod to Use Magic

There is a vendor called Pollo that resides around the middle of the map in the cave area. Once you reach him you will be able to spend the gold currency you have earned purchasing a rod from his inventory. Having a rod will allow you to use magic.

If you do not have enough money you will find a good cropping of pots next to a screen barrier which you can smash for money and items. Simply transition to the next screen and back to respawn the pots, and then repeat the process.

  • Elderand Cheats and Tips

  • Set Up Two Weapon Loadouts

Elderand allows you to set up two weapon loadouts and easily swap back and forth between them. It is recommended that you have two gear slots focused on melee and ranged weapons, respectively. The game has a diverse selection of weaponry so make sure you experiment with the different types you come across in order to find those that suit your playstyle.

  • Upgrade Health and Melee First

In Elderand there are four slots in the skill tree (Health, Magical Abilities, Melee Power, and Luck), and when ability points are added to them they will increase. To begin with, it is recommended that you focus on increasing your health and melee damage. There is no point in increasing magic because it takes a while to receive your first rod. Luck basically increases your ability to find useful items and gold.

  • Commit to a Build

Elderand is different from most RPG games where the best strategy is building a balanced character that can deal with any situation the game throws at you. In this game, it is more beneficial to commit to a specific type of build. In Elderand the points you gain from earning experience by slaying enemies can be distributed freely into four main slots (Strength, Movement, Range, and Magic). To make the most of your experience points you should commit to two of them at most with one as secondary.
