When the battle begins, the speed and order of the selected heroes determine the order of attacks with the defensive team having an advantage by always attacking first in the Fast, Normal, and Slow speeds. If you can, focus on area skills to damage the opposing team all at once. If your team is unfortunately lacking in area skills, focusing your single damage dealers on the biggest threat to your team may be the right move.

When the battle is over, select the opponent's now undefended chest to loot his gold and obtain some honor scrolls. You may notice there are three stars that could be filled. To obtain three stars, none of your heroes may die. If one dies, you get two stars. If two or more die, you get one star. Getting three stars increases the amount of honor scrolls you receive.

Another thing to take note of is the rank you have. You can check it in the Leaderboards button in your dungeon NOT in the Town Hub. The leaderboard you see in your dungeon shows your standing in your level range's ranking in the tournament. Tournaments are a very good way to amass resources and even the featured hero's tokens. Ranking first usually gives a hundred of a hero's tokens(Depending on the event as well), a bunch of gems, and thousands of honor scrolls.
