Dueling Grounds Tips

• Learn to Parry

Parrying is one of the best ways to defend yourself in Dueling Grounds. Tap your guard just before an attack hits to parry it instead of holding block. A successful parry hurts the enemy's posture and gives you a chance to attack. Blocking is useful too, but it also uses your posture.

• Save Your Ultimate

Don't use your Ultimate as soon as it becomes available. It can be dodged or blocked if you use it at the wrong time. Try using it after a Finisher when your opponent is stunned and can't easily escape.

• Use Dodge to Avoid Attacks

Use Dodge when an enemy starts attacking you. Time it just before their attack lands, then move back in and attack while they are open. You can also follow a dodge with a dash attack to quickly get back into the fight.

• Learn Your Weapon

Each weapon plays differently, so don't use the same attacks with all of them. Dual Daggers are fast and work well up close, while the Naginata has much more range. Learn how far your weapon can reach and when its attacks are safest to use.

• Break Their Posture

Don't only focus on lowering your opponent's health. Parrying and attacking their guard can damage their posture. When their posture breaks, they become open to a Finisher, giving you a good chance to deal extra damage and use your Ultimate.
