Doraemon: Story of Seasons Cheats and Tips

Doraemon: Story of Seasons is a farming simulator with an RPG twist. We have a collection of cheats and tips for this game which combines the characters and secret gadgets from the Doraemon franchise with the Story of Seasons game series, formerly known as Harvest Moon.

Doraemon: Story of Seasons Cheats and Tips

In Doraemon: Story of Seasons you play the role of Nobita who along with other familiar faces from the Doraemon franchise find themselves stranded in Shizen Town after Norbita plants a mysterious seed. Lunch, a Shizen Town resident, lends Nobita a farm in town for them to stay while they try to find a way to get back to their original world.

Cheats, Tips and Strategy

Below is a collection of hints and tips that will help you to progress in the game. These include how to get free gifts and how to earn money early in the game. As well as these hints and tips we also have a Beginners Guide which goes into more details on some of the tips we have below:

  • Farming Tutorial

When you initially begin playing Doraemon: Story of Seasons the game will ease you into the game with a basic farming tutorial which will include a tour of the town which will introduce you to the townsfolk and their shops as well as letting you know how to navigate both the area and menus.

  • Interacting with Items

When you hover over items in Doraemon: Story of Seasons which you can interact with the game will display a prompt of which button you need to press.

  • Starting Out

Your first priority when you start your farm is to clear the area so that you can begin to plant crops. A few days after planting them the crops will begin to grow providing you have watered them every day. Once the crops are fully grown and have been harvested they can be sold through your crate.

  • Free Seeds

You will need to acquire some seeds to start farming. The townsfolk have pitched in to help out and you will be able to pick up some free turnip seeds from Knick Knacks, the general store.

Check out our Crop Guide to find out how many days it takes to harvest the different crops, the price to buy their seed and their selling price.

  • Fishing and Bug Catching

You can earn money and save energy at the same time by Fishing and Bug Catching. Both of these activities do not consume any stamina and allow you to earn an income without taking up energy.

  • Store Opening Times

You will only be able to enter stores and interact with their owners during opening hours. Some interactions, such as those with livestock, will unlock as the game progresses.

Check out our Store Opening Times Guide to find out when you should visit the different stores.

  • Free Gifts

You will be able to pick up some seeds at the general store which the mayor has kindly left for you and you can also pick up his forgotten package which will earn you a random reward if you deliver it to him. You can also collect a chair from the lumberjack and a fishing rod from the tackle store. If you do not pick up these free gifts the store owners will come by your farm and let you know.

Check out our Gifting Guide to find out everything you need to know about giving gifts to villagers.

  • Earning Money Early

An easy way to earn money early in Doraemon: Story of Seasons is by foraging. Fruit in particular will earn you money and it grows back every few days. You can also recover a little bit of stamina by eating foraged items such as Bamboo Shoots and Mushrooms.

  • Explore

Get familiar with your surroundings by venturing out and exploring while you are waiting for your crops to grow. Your farm is centrally located on the minimap and you will see signposts along paths. The name of the next area will appear on the screen just before you cross into it.

We hope these tips help you out in the game, but for further help, try our FAQs for Doraemon: Story of Seasons, you can also submit your own questions there for other players to answer.
