Use the cheats and tips below to get help as you descend into a feudal Japanese underworld.
During the early stages of Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless you will be able to recruit characters to your main roster at a rate of about one per chapter. Don't forget that both human and monster characters can also be recruited from the Recruiter in the corner of your base.
Although you can amass a large roster of characters it is recommended that you have at least one character of every class in the game. Doing this will give you access to their Evilities and be able to call on them in battle if you are engaged in a fight that could use their skills.
Also in addition to the Recruiter, you can also get some characters to join you by defeating them when you go Netherworld Sightseeing once it unlocks. Each area has one or two generic characters you can get to join you.
The item world in Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless enables you to boost the level of a piece of equipment so its stats increase. Although you can do this simply by battling your way through the levels with an item the results can be disappointing compared to the benefits you get by going through the Item World. These include:
Always look to take advantage of the Item World to make your items stronger and increase their usefulness.
In order to unlock the Cheat Shop in Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless you need to progress through the game and reach Episode 2. At this point you will gain access to the Dark Assembly, where you can unlock the Cheat Shop for 100 mana.
Keep in mind that convincing the Dark Assembly to vote for the Cheat Shop is not guaranteed, you may have to bribe the Dark Assembly members with spare items and equipment, and even then they may not accept what you offer.
When you first unlock the Cheat Shop, you will have restrictions on how much CP you can earn. To raise these limits and earn more CP, you will need to advance through the various episodes of the game.
To begin with, the single-use healing items that are sold by the shopkeeper in your base will seem expensive. As you progress in Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless you will begin to accumulate a lot of money. Make sure you use the money to purchase plenty of healing items.
Keep in mind that the dedicated healers you can recruit for your party are slow and it is often better to use their turns to buff allies rather than to top up their HP values. This is when having a supply of healing items at your disposal will come in useful.
Healing items have a range of two tiles, and can be used by any character. They are also one of the rare sources of SP recovery in the game.
The usual way to obtain overpowered equipment in Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless is to use the Netherworld Hospital's Evil-Gacha. Doing this though will only provide a few types of random equipment. The most reliable way of getting hold of better items before they appear in shops is by stealing them.
Any character can steal equipment but if you have Bandit and Thief generic classes and you use the Stealing Hand items you will gain access to thievery skills that are more reliable. Bandit and Thief characters learn the following two skills that allow them to steal:
Cat Snatch is a single target skill that when used gives you a list of your target's equipment, along with a percentage chance that the skill will work.
The Grand Theft skill will target every enemy on the map at the same time and then attempt to steal a random item from each one. There is a far lower chance of this skill working.
Keep in mind that your chances of success when using either skill will depend on the difference between your thief's level and the target's level, as well as on the skill's enhancement level. To increase the chances of being successful when using the Cat Snatch kill it is recommended that you boost it up to at least +2.
The Evil-Gacha becomes available in Chapter 2 and can only be granted by the Dark Assembly. The 'Pull Evil-Gacha!' bill can be acquired for 15 mana when it appears. When purchased the Evil-Gacha becomes unlocked at the Netherworld Hospital and it will allow you to spend points earned through healing. The items that become available are incredibly powerful and can make your characters far more powerful than they should be, far earlier than normal. Listed below is what you will get from the Evil Gacha.
The auto-battle feature in Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless has been made restrictive, it can only be activated in specific circumstances. Auto-battle will become available automatically approximately halfway through the game when you reach the designated unlock point of the main story. Stages can only be auto-played once you have beaten them once by yourself. The button that triggers auto-battle will not appear on uncleared stages.
Auto-battle can be used in:
