Question for D.I.C.E.

So I've decided to emulate this game (the game being DICE of course) however on mission 13 (the mission with the name protect our ship) I keep getting stuck on the first stage and I have no idea what to do to progress anyone here knows how to progress? Been stuck for 30 min beating the same pirates over and over again
