Dawn of Fear Cheats and Tips

To get the Rest in Peace trophy you need to defeat the stepmother, this creature that looks like a demon is the third and final boss in the game. You can make this easier by collecting the magnum in the chest which is the reward for solving the painting puzzle near the end of the game. This is achieved by taking the painting and placing it in the room where you encountered the gardener, the first boss, and then finding the solution to the painting puzzle which is in the child's room next door.

When the stepmother boss appears keep firing Magnum shots at her until she summons zombies. At this point switch to your pistol, shotgun, or knife and clear them out. Once you have taken care of the zombies the boss will break free of it's fire shield. If you now switch back to your Magnum and use the remaining shots you have left with this weapon to shoot her several times before she can summon more zombies you will defeat the boss and unlock the trophy.

To get the Gunsmith trophy in Dawn of Fear you must find all the weapons in the game. In total there are four different weapons, listed below are each of the weapons and the location where you will find them.

Pistol
The first weapon you will find is the pistol, and it can be found beside the body hung on the door in the main hall.

Knife
Either kill or evade the zombies on the second floor and then cross over the scaffold behind the first locked door. You will then be able to find the knife dug into a statue in the room with the enemy that has blades as feet.

Shotgun
A cutscene will trigger When you travel into the prison area and find the dead body in a wheelchair. After the cutscene you will be able to pick up the shotgun off the body.

Magnum
When you reach the end of the game you will come across a painting which you need to take to the room where you encountered your first enemy. When you place the painting on the wall and solve the puzzle the magnum will appear in the chest. You will be able to find the solution to the painting puzzle is in the child's room next door.

To get the Bad Weed trophy you need to defeat the gardener which is the first boss in the game. This boss is made up of dead peoples' body parts and in order to defeat it you need to ensure you go into the battle with sufficient supplies. This means collecting the pistol ammunition in the red hallway that leads to the boss, it will be in the corner along with a first aid kit at the bottom of the stairs. And also the shotgun which you will find a skeleton sitting in a wheelchair clutching just before you enter the room where the boss is. When you enter the room make sure you collect the shotgun ammunition that can be found on the floor.

In order to defeat the boss you first need to stun it with either 2 shotgun blasts or 4 pistol shots. Once you have stunned the boss you need to interact with the machine next to the door to call a cargo container over to hit the boss. When you have hit the boss three times with the cargo container you will have defeated the boss and unlocked the trophy.

To get The Hand That Rocks the Cradle trophy you need to defeat the housekeeper which is the second boss in the game. To defeat her you need to burn her at the furnace. The first thing you need to do is find the location of two valves, one can be found behind the fence on the left side while the other is in the back right corner behind a fence and what looks like some kind of wall structure.

In order to defeat the boss you need to stun her with 2 shotgun blasts or 4 pistol shots. Your objective is to make sure you stun her while she is on the furnace so that when you turn on the valve of the furnace you burn her. The valves rotate which one turns the furnace on, so you need to turn the left valve, back valve, then left valve once again to defeat her. You may not make it in time the first three times you attempt this, if this is the case just keep repeating the pattern until you defeat her.
