Crucible is a free-to-play team based third-person shooter driven by the choices you make. The game takes place on an alien planet, Crucible, where two factions battle over a resource called Essence. There's no in-game explanation for why Essence is important, but in terms of gameplay, it's the primary method to level characters. The game is available on PC. Crucible Tips
Play Training Mode
Once you have finished the tutorial it is recommended that you play in the training mode where you will be able to familiarise yourself with the different characters in a no-pressure environment before you jump into public matches. The 10 characters available on release of the game are:
- Ajonah
- Earl
- Captain Mendoza
- Bugg
- Summer
- Shakirri
- Tosca
- Drakahl
- Rahi and Brother
- Sazan
Focus on Hives
Hives is the primary game in Crucible, it's a 4V4 game mode where the main objective is for you and your team to defeat the Hives that spawn randomely around the map and collect the hearts that they spawn. You will be able to see where the Hives will spawn by looking at your mini-map. The key to defeating the Hive is to take down the enemy players first before you engage the Hive.
Kill AI Spawn Often
It is important that during the lead up to the attack against the Hive you take down as many AI spawn as possible as doing so will enable you to increase your Essence level faster than if you were to just eliminate players. Leveling up your character with Essence will substantially increase the strength of some of their core components.
Use Smaller Guns
Use smaller guns in order to get better visual on your enemy. One of the most important parts of becoiming a better player is to imporve your target acquisiton and start finding where the battle is taking place. Having a huge gun negatively impacts your ability to do so. Use smaller guns like SMG's and side arms in order to find your oppoonetnts easier.
Never ADS
Never ADS as it kills your field of view. ADS stands for 'aim down sights'. It basically improves your ability to land your shots. The downside is that aiming down your shots narrows your field of view meaning it negatively impacts your ability to acquire new targets.
Play without Sound
Turn of the sound to heigten your visual awareness and further improve target acquisition.

The ping communication system that Crucible uses is almost identical to that of Apex Legends and you should take advantage of it when..
