Well are you playing online or single player?
For online sometimes due to bad connection it happens and either you play shot too late or early but for single player you need to focus on bowler speed to see it's fast or fast medium and play your shots accordingly. Best practice is to let the bowel bounce and then press the desired shot button. I hope this helps other option is to go into practice game and play couple of overs to get yourself in.
