Crash Team Rumble is a 4v4 team-based competition where the iconic heroes and villains of the crash universe battle to capture more Wumpa fruit than the other to claim victory. Each hero has unique skills and abilities to strategically use to work together to battle the opposing team, defend their own Wumpa bank, and capture key points around the map to help their team. How To Unlock Characters In Crash Team Rumble
Here is how you unlock of each of the characters in Crash Team Rumble:
- Unlock Crash Bandicoot (Scorer): Starter character, already unlocked.
- Unlock Coco Bandicoot (Booster): Starter character, already unlocked.
- Unlock Dingodile (Blocker): Starter character, already unlocked.
- Unlock Tawna (Scorer): Get 6 Scorer Badges by scoring Wumpa Fruits.
- Unlock Catbat (Scorer): Get 15 Scorer Badges by scoring Wumpa Fruits.
- Unlock N. Brio (Blocker): Get 6 Blocker Badges by knocking away Wumpa Fruits.
- Unlock N. Tropy (Blocker): Get 50 Blocker Badges by knocking away Wumpa Fruits.
- Unlock Neo Cortex (Booster): Get 15 Booster Badges by capturing Gems.
There are more characters that will become available over time in Crash Team Rumble, here is how to unlock them.
- Ripper Roo (Blocker): Purchase the Season Pass 1 to get Ripper Roo. Season 1 lasts until September 11, 2023.
- N. Gin (Booster): Purchase the Season Pass 1 to get N. Gin. Season 1 lasts until September 11, 2023.
- Secret Character #1: When season 2 starts two more characters will be avaialble as part of the pass. Season 2 will start on September 11, 2023 and last for 3 months.
- Secret Character #2: When season 2 starts two more characters will be avaialble as part of the pass. Season 2 will start on September 11, 2023 and last for 3 months.
Over time it's likely more secret characters will be added to the roster, look out for these in special events and in new seasons.

Put Together a Balanced Team
The playable characters in Crash Team Rumble fall under one of three categories, and it is important in order to be successful in the game that you put together a balanced team which means it must consist of at least one of each other three rolls so that you are able to collect, sustain, and protect efficiently in the long run. The three categories are:
- - Scorer
Characters who fall in this category are able to collect more Wumpa Fruit than other roles. These tend to be agile characters.
- - Booster
This type of character are geared up to playing a support and sustainability role. They have the capability to collect more Relics than other roles.
- - Blocker
These characters have large health pools and are basically the Tanks or Defenders of the game. They are particularly useful at distracting and dispersing potential assaults as well as fortifications.
