Clean the Library Maps

There are two maps in Clean the Library (Classic Library and Grand Library). Classic Library has 2 floors with 10 sections on the first floor and 6 on the second. Grand Library is the bigger map, with 4 floors split into 7 sections on the first floor, 9 sections on the second floor, 8 sections on the third floor, and 7 sections on the fourth floor.

If you're going for faster clear times, you'll need to learn where every section is and which book genres belong there. Once you've got the layouts memorized, you can stop running back to the maps every few seconds and clear libraries way quicker. This guide shows every floor and section in both maps, and tells you where each book category goes.

Clean the Library Tips

  • What's the first thing I should do when the round starts?
  • Grab a cleaning cart straight away and head to the nearest section. Don't waste time running all over the library because every second counts.

  • How do I know which books belong on each shelf?
  • Check the labels on the shelves and match the books to the right section. After a few rounds you'll start remembering where most of them go.

  • Is it better to clear one section completely or keep moving around?
  • Stick with one section until it's clean. Half-finished areas slow you down and you'll spend more time backtracking.

  • What's the fastest way to level up?
  • Keep cleaning books without standing around. The more shelves you finish each round, the faster your XP adds up.

  • Which library is easier for beginners?
  • The Classic Library is definitely the better place to learn. It's smaller, easier to memorize, and you won't get lost as often.

  • When should I start playing the Grand Library?
  • Once you've got the Classic Library figured out. The extra floors and sections make it a lot tougher if you're still learning where everything goes.

  • What's the biggest mistake new players make?
  • Picking up random books without checking where they're meant to go. You'll just end up running laps around the library.

  • Do I need to memorize the library?
  • It helps a lot. Knowing where each section is means less time searching and more time actually cleaning.

  • Should I use the stairs every time?
  • Only if you have to. Try to finish everything you can on one floor before heading upstairs.

  • What happens if I put a book on the wrong shelf?
  • It doesn't help your progress, so double-check the section before placing it. Accuracy is faster than fixing mistakes.

  • How do experienced players finish rounds so quickly?
  • They already know the layout and rarely stop to think. Most of the speed comes from knowing exactly where every section is.

  • Is it worth following other players around?
  • Not really. You'll usually just get in each other's way. Pick your own section and clean it.

  • What's the hardest part of the Grand Library?
  • Keeping track of all four floors. It's easy to forget where a section is until you've played it a bunch.

  • How can I stop getting lost?
  • Learn a few nearby sections each game instead of trying to memorize the whole library at once. You'll build up the map naturally.

  • Does knowing the shelf layout really make that much difference?
  • Yep. Once you know where everything is, you'll spend way less time wandering around looking for the right spot.

  • Why does everyone recommend the Classic Library first?
  • Because it's much easier to learn the section names and shelf locations before jumping into the massive Grand Library.

  • Is speed or accuracy more important?
  • Accuracy first. Putting books in the correct place every time is better than rushing and making mistakes.

  • What's the best way to improve every game?
  • Focus on learning a few more sections each round. Before long you'll know the whole library without even thinking about it.

  • How do I become one of the fastest cleaners?
  • Keep playing the same map until you know every section by memory. Once that clicks, your speed improves a ton.

  • What's the biggest tip for progressing quickly?
  • Don't just clean books - learn the library. The better you know the layout, the easier every future round becomes.
