There are 7 unique game modes in Brawl Stars, these are listed below along with a description of how each one is played.
Showdowns (Solo & Duo)
The objective of players in this mode is to be the last Brawler standing as you try to eliminate all your opponents in the Arena. Showdowns is avaialable in Solo and Duo mode, in Duo Showdown you play with a teammate who is able to revive you, giving you another chance. Regardless if you play Solo or Duo the most players including yourself in a match is 10. Similar to Battle Royale in Fortnite the lethal damage zone will slowly creep in from the edge of the map.
Gem Grab
In Gem Grab mode players work as a team of 3 vs. another team of 3 Brawlers to grab as many Gems as possible. The Gems will periodically spawn at the center of the map where the objective is for you and your team to collect as many of them as possible. There is no time limit, the first team to hold at least 10 Gems for 15 seconds wins the match. If your Brawler dies during a match the gems you have collected will fall to the ground and anyone will be able to pick them up.
Bounty
In this 3 vs. 3 mode the objective is for your team to eliminate the opposite teams players during the time limit of 2 minutes, 30 seconds to earn stars. Brawlers with a high kill count will earn more stars and the team with the most stars wins the match. The maximum number of stars a player can hold in Bounty mode is 7.
Brawl Ball
In this mode two teams of 3 compete to score two goals before the time limit of 2 minutes, 30 seconds runs out. The objective is to send the ball to the opposing team's side and shoot it into the goal. Skills and Super abilities are used to kick the ball around. If no team has scored 2 goals when the game time has expired an overtime period of 1 minute will commence. In overtime there are no barriers and grass are present, and the next goal wins.
Robo Rumble
In Robo Rumble a team of 3 players to go up against endless waves of robots with the objective being to keep their safe protected and undamage. The longer you are able to withstand the onlslaught of the robots the better your rewards will be. The maximum time you can defend your safe is 13 minutes and 14 seconds. The match will automatically finish when this time is up.
Heist
In this fast-paced and competitive mode you will be part of a team of three Brawlers who are competing against another team of 3 with the objective of trying to deal as much damage as possible to the opposing team's safe. A match in Heist mode lasts for 2 minutes, 30 seconds.
