The battles in Boyfriend Dungeon can become overwhelming when you are attacked by multiple monsters from all directions at once and not have a lot of room to maneuver. Remember that aside from dodging the projectiles they fire altogether, you can destroy them through rolling, which activates a temporary shield. In Boyfriend Dungeon, having a variety of weapons at your disposal is crucial to conquering the dungeons, so it is beneficial that you keep your options open when dating and don't choose a single partner right away. There are options to keep the conversations friendly but still raise affection levels, so there is no reason to be mean or lead people on that you are uninterested in.

Go into the 'Options' menu and select the 'Goddess Shield' if you are a player who is more interested in the dating aspects of Boyfriend Dungeon or if the number of enemies on screen becomes overwhelming. This feature when enabled will raise your defense by 50% which help you considerably when the fighting gets chaotic.

One of the ways in which you can raise bond levels in Boyfriend Dungeon is to spend time with your partner in the dungeons. There you will be able to find small hotspots such as ice skating rinks or fountains that can be used for quick romantic dates, where answering questions favorably will give you the opportunity to increase your bond with the date. Gifts can also be given to your date to raise your bond, but it is recommended that early on in the game you focus on building bonds through dungeon runs, as it is cheaper and avoids wasting gifts. Once you manage to max out a bond in a dungeon, you can leave by dying, which will result in the floor that you die on being warped back to on the next run.

In total, there are seven different characters (weapons) to woo in Boyfriend Dungeon, and you will be able to increase your Love Rank with each of them. Each Love Rank you obtain will unlock a new ability for the weapon associated with the character. It is possible to romance multiple characters at the same time, you can also increase your Love Rank with every weapon, even if you don't want to date them.
