Balan Wonderworld Cheats and Tips

In Balan Wonderworld you can carry up to three costumes at once. If your current costume inventory is full the next costume you pick up will immediately occupy the rightmost slot sending the costume that was previously there off to storage. This means it is important to remember to always place a costume you no longer want to use in the rightmost slot. The costume you swap when you press the left bumper on your controller will be the one that is replaced when you pick up a crystal.

Each of the platforms that Balan Wonderworld is available on has a free exclusive costume you can unlock. In order to unlock the exclusive Launcher costume you must play the demo of the game on whatever platform it is you intend to purchase the full game on. Once you have the full game the Launcher costume will be added to the star section of your wardrobe. The bullets shot from the Launcher costume can defeat enemies and destroy blocks, it does exactly the same on all the platforms, it will just be a different color depending on the platform.

Tims in Balan Wonderworld are colorful fluffy creatures that are manifestations of positive emotions. It is important that you pay attention to the color of your Tims as the ability that your constant companions posses is based on this. You can bring up to one Tim with you into a stage by holding it in your arms while you access the door to that particular stage. Keep an eye out for and collect the Tims eggs you come across as you progress through the game as you never know what color of Tims you may hatch and some have very useful abilities. The pink Tim for example can sometimes bring items from someplace else to you while the blue Tim can sometimes destroy objects shrouded in negativity.

Throughout the different levels in Balan Wonderworld you will come across checkpoint circles. Not only will they allow you to save the progress of your game they can also give you access to your costume inventory. To make your wardrobe appear you just need to stand still in a checkpoint circle for a few seconds.

There are two ways to place a costume in storage, the first is by placing it in the rightmost slot when you acquire a new one. And the other way is to use the wardrobe and store it. Make sure you store all the costumes you won't be needing for each of Balan Wonderworld's levels because if Leo or Emma gets hit a single time while wearing a costume it is gone for good, and you will have no other alternative but to find another key and crystal.

Make sure you take your time and expore the different stages in Balan Wonderland thoroughly in order to find the Balan Statues that are in them. Each stage has up to eight Balan statues, while some are out in the open and easy to spot others will be cleverly hidden. To collect all 3 Balan statues from each boss you have to defeat them in specific ways, take a look at the two videos below to see how this is done and find out what the correct costumes are you need to bring with you.

Not all the statues in Balan Wonderland can be found around the level, there are some that can only be obtained by playing the Balan Bout minigame. In order to access this minigame you must first find a golden hat, once you have collected it you will start Balan's Bout. This minigame is straight forward, you just need to fly around destroying obstacles. Just press the button when Balaan and Shadow line up and if your timing is perfect for the duration of the minigame you will get an Excellent rating which will reward you with a statue.

Don't worry if you lose a costume because something unfortunate happened, like you got hit by a Negati or fell off a cliff. The reason why you should not worry is that keys and costumes respawn after a small amount of time so if you do lose them you simply have to backtrack and pick up what you lost. It is recommended that as you progress through the game you collect a few copies of costumes and store them in your wardrobe, so you always have access to them and never have the need to backtrack for them.

Make sure you look after the Tims you find by feeding them all the colored drops you pick up in Balan Wonderland. On the Isle of Tims there are colored patches and if you drop the corresponding color drops in these areas, so your furry companions eat them you will help them grow which then gives them new attributes and possibly change their color to give them a different ability entirely.
