Not everyone is a fan of developer Jonathan Blow's presence, but his skill in game design, seen in the illusive and philosophical title Braid, is undeniable. In The Witness, this alluding yet ever so enticing esoteric nature continues to pick people's minds. A sprawling, mysterious world is at the mercy of the player, who'll need to figure out a way to maneuver through it. Each area will offer its own subtleties, together with a range of maze-like puzzles revealing a line in the story's progression. Its isolation pitted in a lush environment has such calm to it. It's perfect for a puzzle buffet.

Im very suprised and happy that X made no. 1 on the list. Im glad it didnt go to another shooter or something that has been butchered to death but why is that weird ps4 game on the list? I expected Thief to be on the list or at least No Mans Sky.
I can actually answer the TESO omission, for once. It was originally pegged between the top 10, but the requirements of both a full release purchase and a heavy $15/month subscription, on top of a fragmented release (Imperials), have ultimately seen it be dropped in favor of others, like Destiny, who doesn't treat its users in that way.
